00:11Endow Fire and Rescue Station Assistant Chief Mohamed Alias Husin said the evacuation began
00:16around midnight and involved 10 families from Kampung Baru Ayetawar and Kampung Hubong.
00:23The evacuees were moved to Sekolah Kebangsaan Pusat Ayetawar,
00:26which has been opened as a temporary relief centre.
00:30Mohamed Alias said authorities are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with other agencies
00:36as rain continues, adding that roads leading into Merzing remain passable.
00:41Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued continuous heavy rain
00:46and thunderstorm warnings for Sigamat, Kluang, Merzing and Kota Tinggi until Thursday.
