A family of four were trapped for hours in their car when they were caught in a flood in Kinabatangan district on Thursday (Jan 30).  The victims were believed on their way out of their village at Kg Paris 2 due to the floods, when they got stuck due to the high water levels around midnight. 00:26Despite being alerted immediately, rescue teams faced significant challenges reaching

00:34Firemen only managed to reach the family at 2.47am due to logistics and flood constraints.

00:40During the rescue operation, firefighters formed a human chain and used ropes to get

00:45the family out of their vehicle.

00:47The family was subsequently taken to a temporary evacuation centre.
