00:00I am mad at you now.
00:01I don't care.
00:03No, you will.
00:04Dub Nation, this is Will Richard, coming to you live from the Laughing Monk Studios.
00:08You're listening to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:11All right, it is crossover time, and we welcome in the two gentlemen
00:15who will be interviewing Steve Kerr today at 5 o'clock, Willard and Dibs.
00:21Guys, how you doing?
00:22Yeah, I'm doing well.
00:24We actually were just back there in the green room,
00:26and we scripted our first 15 questions.
00:28Like you guys always do.
00:29And stuff, you know, like Shanahan and stuff.
00:32And I've got a little something for you, Stiney, a little bit later,
00:35because you always were wondering, like, Shanahan, opening drives, how does he do?
00:40And I today actually did a deep dive in the morning on that
00:44and a number of other things, so I'll have that for you a little bit later in the crossover.
00:48I love it.
00:48I love it.
00:49Will, we started the show.
00:50I did it with you, making sure we were okay.
00:53I get home, I open some mail, and it's the lovely Willard family,
00:58you and Christy and the kids.
01:00Stiney, I tell Dibs, I send a thank you to both of you.
01:03Uh-huh.
01:04Crickets.
01:05You do know Bird won three straight MVPs, right?
01:09Hey, there's something going to be delivered here that's going to send you over the top.
01:12But go ahead, Mark.
01:13We're good, right?
01:14Will you pull up the text?
01:15What time?
01:168.52.
01:17Okay, so it's almost 9 o'clock at night on a Monday, and you, I don't want to bore the listeners,
01:24do you remember the whole school board thing?
01:26Yeah.
01:27Yeah.
01:27So the vote was last night.
01:29Oh, you don't got to say anything.
01:31The meeting was hot, heavy.
01:34I got it.
01:34We're both there at the meeting.
01:36I feel better now.
01:37Were you the Steelers or were you the Dolphins?
01:39Oh, definitely the Dolphins.
01:41Oh.
01:41But we knew we were the Dolphins.
01:43It was more like the Raiders.
01:44Like, we knew when we showed up, we had to get a bunch kicked.
01:48So, yeah, it was a fait accompli, but people wanted to make sure that, still, say your piece
01:54and express your concerns and also show your support for those who are precious people
02:00who are going to be losing jobs here.
02:02There's students who are, you know, like their whole world is changing.
02:07It's heavy.
02:07Yeah, absolutely.
02:08So, anyway, by the time we got out of that thing, that text came while we were in there.
02:12Neither one of us had dinner.
02:14Everyone was rushing home to kids and life and pets and things.
02:18And so, yeah, I didn't get a chance to hit you back.
02:21So, anyway, thank you for saying that, though.
02:23No, no, thank you for sending it.
02:24And I'm going to be real.
02:25I've been around a few blocks.
02:26I'm from the hard streets of Union City, California.
02:29As I get older, I'm getting wimpier.
02:32I'm crying at movies by myself.
02:35I'm like, Mom, I'm crying.
02:36But I'm getting more sensitive, like you didn't respond, and I start the shows.
02:41They didn't know, like, you didn't respond.
02:44I'm getting, I got to do something.
02:46I'm getting too sensitive.
02:46Dude, get used to the tears, because we've been watching the Taylor Swift Eras documentary on Netflix.
02:53Oh, you're going on Stiney, O.B.
02:55Disney Plus.
02:55Whatever.
02:56I don't even know anymore.
02:57I'm just going to be like, my daughter made me buy Disney Plus.
03:00Did you tear up?
03:00Just for that.
03:01So, she better be on Disney Plus.
03:02So, she comes out at the end of the tour, and she gives bonuses.
03:06Yes.
03:06She gave out $192 million in bonuses.
03:09No joke.
03:10To her staff.
03:11Come on.
03:12How big is the staff, by the way?
03:14Probably 100 people.
03:15Okay, so you think everybody got seven figures.
03:17The dudes who drive the truck.
03:19Right.
03:19They got 100K.
03:20That's incredible.
03:21So, you're the truck driver who just sits there, and then they load up the truck, and you drive
03:26from Hamburg, Germany, to Berlin.
03:28Here's your check.
03:29I appreciate you.
03:30And then, there's one dancer that they have, who is a very large, plus-sized African-American,
03:37and he's awesome.
03:38And I'm sure she gave her dancers each, like, two or three million apiece.
03:42And so, I'm watching this, and he's crying, and the boy's like, his life changed.
03:52If it makes you feel any better.
03:53But I call you the Tupac at the station, and you're crying over the chest.
03:56Not as hard as I used to be.
03:58Don't look at me, because I was born this way.
04:02Like, I've been doing that since I was 11.
04:05So, like, don't look at me.
04:07Ah, real mean crying.
04:08Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:09Donnie, Donnie, when did you drop a T or laugh?
04:13Sleepy-noid on the chat.
04:16Well, basically, the Warriors just give out paychecks, too.
04:19Right.
04:20Good point.
04:20I mean...
04:21Good point.
04:22What did you make of what's going on with Lakers' comments?
04:24And who shared...
04:25I'm trying to remember who shared that on our thread about Jimmy being Robin, and that person
04:30who's like...
04:31That was a nine.
04:31Lucas shared it, but it was a tweet from a rando.
04:34Yeah, right.
04:34That was a no-sing man.
04:35Yeah, he's Robin.
04:36He's Robin him with 60 million.
04:38And I gave it a five.
04:40I would have given it a nine, but I don't believe in that.
04:42But that was amazing.
04:43And Stoutney and I discussed it.
04:45I am sitting here literally waiting for Nick Ferdale to ask Jimmy that question just to see
04:51his response.
04:52He's not...
04:53I don't expect change, but the response...
04:55We've gotten a response from Steve Kerr from Slater asking...
04:59They got video asking about the email, and he just presented...
05:02You know, what did you think of that?
05:04The email.
05:04Well, it made me want to do an exercise with everybody, starting with you two, because...
05:09Coach's desire.
05:10Well, I heard you guys...
05:11I think the poll, when you read that, and we should mention it again so people know what
05:17the hell we're talking about.
05:18But yeah, there's an email that a Warrior fan sent to Joe Lacob, and apparently two minutes
05:24later, he responded.
05:26The original email, dear Joe, please do something about this team.
05:30What does Steph need to do every night to win?
05:32And drop 50, teams in need of a real second option.
05:35Jimmy's tools are being underutilized because he's playing as a power forward due to small
05:41position players.
05:42We have no center.
05:44I'm so frustrated.
05:45Joe responds, you can't be as frustrated as me.
05:48I'm working on it.
05:49It's complicated.
05:50Style of play.
05:52About, you know, a little bit of an opaque mention about, you know, the coaches like
05:57players in a certain way.
05:58So he's kind of like throwing people under, and then he comes back with, I'm going to
06:04fix it.
06:05And I was talking to Willard about this before, Stiney, and you can appreciate this.
06:08The idea of I, me, mine versus we, us, and ours.
06:17Like, that whole approach of I, me, mine, or we, us, ours, it goes a long way toward speaking
06:24to how an organization, a family, a group approaches what they're trying to do.
06:30Because it feels to me like Joe Lacob is more of the I, me, mine.
06:34I am going to fix it.
06:37This is about me.
06:38This organization is mine.
06:41Even though he only owns about, you know, whatever percent.
06:43He's not, he's the majority owner, but he's not the owner, et cetera.
06:47And that's where it kind of hit me about the Joe Lacob part of this, where it's I, me,
06:52mine, and he kind of threw Steve under the bus, and Dunleavy like, no, no, no, I'm going
06:58to fix it, Mike.
06:59And that to me is a little bit alarming.
07:03Yeah, I mean, he's obviously running the show, and I think a lot of times he says we,
07:12but there's no doubt he's running the show, and everybody knows that.
07:16But, like, if one guy emails me, I might respond, I'm working on it, as opposed to we're working
07:24on it, if it's a one-on-one conversation.
07:27But if the email was like, hey, what's going on with your station?
07:30Like, the morning show, your show, Willard and Dibs, you wouldn't say, I'm working on
07:34it.
07:34No.
07:35You would say, ah, you know, I'm going to do what I do, eh, and then, yeah.
07:39I mean, I don't even know how you spell that.
07:41But he would be out of pocket real quick to say he's working on it when he's not the PD.
07:43No, but if it was an email about your show, and like, hey, you know, you and Guru, you
07:50seem to do too much Warriors.
07:51Like, how about you mix in some A, B, and C?
07:54He could say, well, you know, I'm working on it.
07:57Because he's the driver or whatever.
07:58Right, right.
07:59But when you're Lakeup, and you're like, I think, talking about Kerr and who he's playing,
08:04and you're talking about how you're going to fix it, that rings a little bit hollow to me.
08:08Yeah, and it's a unique situation, sports ownership, because he's allowed to do whatever
08:13the hell he wants.
08:13No doubt.
08:14He's the owner.
08:15But there are very few businesses where the person in charge who runs the whole outfit
08:21actually is seen as not knowing what the hell's going on with the industry.
08:26And I'm sure some do more than others.
08:29And I don't, you know, I don't think Joe is like a basketball dummy.
08:32I don't think that.
08:33I don't even know exactly.
08:35Maybe he's a damn expert.
08:38But I don't think that in general that's comforting to fans when the owner is like, I'm on it.
08:46I'm on it.
08:47And by the way, it's complicated because, you know, the coach thinks a certain way about
08:53certain.
08:53It's just like, whoa, whoa.
08:56And Joe, it doesn't land that crazy with people because they've won rings.
09:01I used the word, you and I yesterday, personal.
09:04And we differed on that.
09:07In any crazy way, because Joe's the boss to me, do you think this was premeditated to
09:12where he wanted these answers to get out?
09:14No, I don't think that.
09:16That's getting into a little bit of a conspiracy.
09:18But why respond then?
09:21I don't know.
09:21I mean, that's who Joe Laker is.
09:23That's how I thought.
09:24It just really is.
09:25And when you respond in two minutes, that suggests to me that some sort of an emotional
09:28cord was hit.
09:29Right.
09:30Because you have a thousand emails and you responded to the one that's on.
09:33Yes.
09:33And we know that.
09:34And that's why Joe's a good owner.
09:36How would you feel if it said Jerry Jones at the bottom of the email?
09:40I would respect it because I know he cares.
09:43He messes up when he cares.
09:45And Joe does.
09:46And I think Joe is tired of being quiet.
09:48But aren't you tired of Jerry making football decisions?
09:50Yeah, no doubt.
09:51And talking about it on the radio every week?
09:52No doubt.
09:53Okay.
09:53But he's won a title, what, 2022?
09:56You know what I mean?
09:57I get it.
09:57I get it.
09:58He's won.
09:59He's Joe.
09:59He's a great owner.
10:01He puts his money where his mouth is.
10:02So you wouldn't have responded if you were Joe.
10:04You would have just said, hey, we're working on it.
10:06I don't know what the hell I would do if I were a billionaire owner.
10:08See, I think I would have did what he did.
10:10Yeah, probably.
10:12Again, it's not like he did something wrong.
10:16It's that is it a window into the larger approach of this entire operation
10:22and as a fan, is that the way you want it?
10:26Do you want your owner, quote, working on it?
10:30You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGMZ FM, and HD1 San Francisco,
10:34and Odyssey Sports Station, always live on the free Odyssey app
10:37and now broadcasting from the Laughing Monk Studios.
10:39I mean, I would say, and we probably knew this already
10:43because they're 13 and 14, but I do think that email back or text back
10:52tells me they acknowledge they got bigger problems than 13 and 14, I think.
10:59And I think when I saw that, my first thought was,
11:06boy, I guess Kerr might be a part of this whole thing
11:10that they're trying to figure out.
11:11You know what I mean?
11:13This whole thing.
11:14Not like the problem?
11:16Well, just that.
11:20So right now, Draymond Green is under contract next year,
11:25but he can opt out.
11:27Steve's not under contract next year,
11:29and I think that's what I'm saying may be an issue in all this.
11:33If they're starting to talk about direction,
11:36if they're starting to talk about playing time for certain younger players,
11:40then Steve is in the middle of it, I think.
11:44I agree with that.
11:45And that absolutely could be going on.
11:48Yeah, and I heard you guys earlier about,
11:49man, when Willard and Diggs get in,
11:51I listened almost the whole show today.
11:52You guys were awesome.
11:53But, like, oh, when Willard and Diggs get in,
11:55we've got to ask him about, will Steve be back next year?
11:59Because Stiney was like, I don't want to say hell no, but you were.
12:02I don't think so.
12:03I think it's on his terms.
12:04Whatever he wants to do, it's his call.
12:07And we're going to have him on at five today,
12:09and we won't ask him because he'll say that he doesn't know,
12:12and he's going to wait and see.
12:13And you already have.
12:14I remember his answer.
12:15Exactly.
12:15And just based on the way this is going right now,
12:19I would lean toward the no.
12:20And Stiney was like, oh, he might be coaching somewhere else.
12:24I don't think that he's going to coach anywhere else next year anyway.
12:28If he leaves, I think that he goes more in the Bob Myers mold.
12:33And that's what this whole thing has me thinking about, Bob Myers,
12:36where Bob, I do think that he kind of got to a point where he's like,
12:40enough of your calls all day and all night.
12:43I want a break.
12:44And so Bob took a break, and he did what he did,
12:46and he went to Washington in the NFL, and he went to ESPN.
12:50And I think that that's more likely what happens with Steve.
12:52So you don't think he'll coach in the NBA other than the Warriors?
12:56Not next year and probably not ever.
12:58I don't think so.
13:00I wouldn't say not ever at all.
13:01I would say somehow my feeling is that he wouldn't coach another team
13:07while Steph is still playing.
13:09And I think he's going out with Steph.
13:11Maybe, and I'm sure that in a perfect world they hope that,
13:14but it's not a perfect world.
13:16But I could see him coaching another team, but I doubt it while Steph's playing.
13:21Look, this team's been good to us, and I love everybody involved.
13:25This dynasty from Steve Fizziak, remember him on the call?
13:29Oh, my God, Fizziak.
13:30And Albert, I remember those days.
13:33So I say that before I go here.
13:35I'm just being real because I love this organization.
13:37And I don't want you to tell me, you three, if I'm making more out of it than I need to.
13:42But I'm watching.
13:43We talked about the great Raymond Ritter and the video of Slater asking Steve Kerr about the email.
13:50Steve says and acknowledges, yeah, Raymond told me about it.
13:54And I just thought to myself, Daryl Johnson from the Hune.
13:56So did he have to deliver Raymond to Steve the intent of what you might read and perceive it to be when you read Coach's Desire?
14:09So I'm thinking, like, is this just small?
14:12Or for Raymond to have to explain to Steve maybe what Joe's intent was, then I'm like, oh, this could get tricky.
14:19And if I'm any coach and I hear my owners say Coach's Desires, I'm like, that could be among a fan base that are not, let's just say, happy right now.
14:29That could turn into something that nobody wants.
14:32That certainly could be the case.
14:34My guess, though, is, and just so, like, listeners all realize, before any of these press conferences, the PR person's job is to sit there with the coach and be like, here's what you're probably going to get asked about.
14:46Pentagon with the press.
14:47Remember when Kyle Shanahan had to read all the lip-reading stuff from Jimmy Garoppolo?
14:55Oh, these plays suck.
14:56And everyone did lip-reading gate.
14:58And that was how Kyle answered.
15:01He's like, yeah, the PR person just showed me this video now.
15:04I remember that.
15:06Because they want, it's like, hey, you're going to get asked about this, so be prepared.
15:10So I think that's all.
15:12Ritter's like, you're going to.
15:14So there's this email, and it was from Joe.
15:16So be prepared.
15:17You're going to be asked about this.
15:18What are you asking exactly?
15:19I'm asking about the email from Joe.
15:20All right.
15:20That's interesting.
15:21Yeah.
15:21No, I think that part of it is, it was a modus operandi.
15:26Operandi, if you can't, you know, because he's just going to go in.
15:30I shouldn't have done that.
15:31No.
15:32I think that's a normal MO.
15:33All right.
15:34Okay.
15:34Well, and that's what MO stands for.
15:36So go ahead and educate the room and the audience.
15:39I like that.
15:40Now spell it.
15:41M-O-D-U-S-O-P-E-R-A-N-D-I.
15:45I have no idea if that's right.
15:46Give him a ding, Randy.
15:47Give this man his ding.
15:48Randy's second ding for me today.
15:50Did we?
15:51Oh, gosh.
15:52He ain't dumping Larry.
15:52What was the first one?
15:54Oh, yeah, because Dib's got something for you.
15:56So we had 11.
15:58There's this picture of 11 players in NBA history.
16:01I got intel that Willard's not in.
16:03He don't like those photos and you list and all that.
16:07No, it was Lucas.
16:08Lucas really didn't like it.
16:10Okay.
16:10You didn't see the AI picture of 11 studs and two got to go.
16:14Kareem, Bill Russell, Kevin Durant.
16:17I haven't seen it.
16:18Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, Bird, Shaq, Jordan, Curry, LeBron, Kobe.
16:23You have to take two out.
16:24I had Bird out.
16:25Which clearly they did on purpose.
16:27Because KD, to me, does not belong on the list.
16:30Almighty does.
16:31He just doesn't.
16:32Can I see the list again?
16:33Yeah.
16:34Show them the picture if you can.
16:35Yeah.
16:36The picture's amazing.
16:37And God, I wish it wasn't AI, but it has to be AI.
16:39Go ahead and deliver the bad news to Stiney.
16:41Who you would take off, Dibs?
16:43We talked about this.
16:45Stolen by DJ.
16:46Pass the Bird.
16:47Okay.
16:48Bird is the other one.
16:49Shaq.
16:50Bird and Shaq.
16:50Not KD?
16:51No.
16:52KD is a unicorn.
16:53Guru's right.
16:54He's 6'13".
16:56And he.
16:57Brandon, you listen.
16:58I mean, he did things that.
17:00I mean, Larry Bird.
17:01He had a great career, but he was absolutely hobbled by injury.
17:07If he would have played five more years.
17:09Stiney, we're in the victory, y'all.
17:10Stiney, you know what?
17:11He got carried by three other Hall of Famers.
17:14DJ.
17:15Stolen by DJ.
17:16Stiney, and McHale, and Parrish.
17:19KD did it on his own here in Golden State.
17:22I think I'd get rid of both of them.
17:23Does that help?
17:24So those would be your two?
17:26Bird.
17:27Wow.
17:27Yeah.
17:28Why do I need KD to be a unicorn scorer when I've got Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant,
17:34Steph Curry, and Tim Duncan?
17:36Why do I need KD?
17:37Well, you're not building a team.
17:39Yeah.
17:39Just two gotta go, Will, for whatever reason.
17:42Yeah.
17:42I sent Magic and Bird home.
17:44Now Magic stays.
17:45Wow.
17:46He's special.
17:47Magic and Bird.
17:48How can you split up Magic and Bird?
17:49They saved the league.
17:51I love it.
17:52You're young, Grandy.
17:52That's a whole era.
17:53But as far as Magic and Bird, I couldn't make a distinction between those two.
17:58Well, Magic is more special, more unique.
18:02And I hate that because you can't be more unique.
18:05You're either unique or you're not.
18:06I got you.
18:07Yeah.
18:07And just the show.
18:09Just the show.
18:11But it's designed to cause friction.
18:13Because now they got singers, they're doing it with actors.
18:16Who's getting up for Michael Jackson?
18:18Oh, wow.
18:18How many of them played?
18:19If I get rid of KD and Bird, how many of the remaining, what did you say, nine?
18:24Yeah.
18:24How many of them played for the Lakers?
18:26Kareem.
18:26One.
18:28Kobe.
18:28Shaq.
18:29Kobe and Shaq.
18:30Magic.
18:31LeBron.
18:32Kareem, Kobe, Shaq, Magic.
18:34LeBron.
18:34LeBron.
18:35Oh, yeah.
18:35LeBron.
18:36Damn.
18:36Most of them is the answer.
18:38Most of them.
18:39I had to.
18:39Man.
18:41Stop.
18:42Stop it.
18:42Steph, the only one.
18:43Well, Russell.
18:44You're on the 10-second timeout.
18:47You don't get to decide that.
18:49That was only two seconds.
18:51Well, I mean, tune into the show.
18:52Oh, I'm always on the 10-second timeout.
18:55That's a lot more than that.
18:56Did you hear Spencer out Thursday?
18:58Personal reason.
18:58Yes.
18:58Yeah.
18:59I don't know.
18:59I mean, we'll ask Steve.
19:01Yeah.
19:01But I'm personal.
19:01I miss watching him play.
19:02That's all.
19:03By the way, that's personal.
19:05Go.
19:05There, look at you.
19:05I give you a three.
19:07Yeah.
19:07I mean, we probably won't ask it, but I think, Stiney, you might have said it earlier.
19:10Like, it's probably not a bad thing when you're trying to, like, preserve his 50 games.
19:16So, yeah.
19:17If you have a day that you need, take the day, and, you know, we're going to go ahead and
19:21use you down the road as a thing.
19:24I don't know.
19:24Maybe it'll be more than a day.
19:26Could be.
19:26Yeah.
19:27I mean, they could shelve him for three weeks if they want, and then be able to use him
19:32whenever they want.
19:33Yeah.
19:33And apparently, that's what they're doing with Will Richard.
19:35I was just going to, what were your thoughts on that?
19:37And if you're Will, I know you're a rookie.
19:39He's a two-way guy, right?
19:40But I'm shocked.
19:41Is he a two-way guy?
19:42I don't think he is.
19:44Will?
19:44Yeah.
19:45No, I think Will's just a guy.
19:46Yeah, he's a guy.
19:46Yeah, he's a guy.
19:47But we did the whole, like, Warrior Survivor thing.
19:49It must have been last week, going into the weekend.
19:51Like, who's going to sit?
19:52I missed it.
19:53And, you know, he said Kaminga.
19:55I thought Kaminga would have played, and now he hasn't played in three straight.
19:58We both agreed that Seth would sit, and with no Horford, TJD had to play.
20:03But I didn't think that Will Richard would sit, and now, you know, it's kind of where
20:07he is, you know?
20:08I think we'll see him Thursday?
20:09Just your gut?
20:10Which one?
20:11Richard.
20:13Probably because no Pat Spencer.
20:16Yeah.
20:17Probably that'll open up.
20:18Maybe he grabs Pat's minutes.
20:20That'd be my guess.
20:20Okay, what time you got him today?
20:21Five?
20:22Five o'clock.
20:22Five o'clock.
20:23And Fridell's at 315.
20:24Okay.
20:25So, we'll get the newsy side, and then we'll go inside the building.
20:29I think Kerr's going to give something up today.
20:34What do you mean?
20:35I think he's going to...
20:36Like his job?
20:37No.
20:38Okay.
20:38No, like, I think, even though there's ebbs and flows to every season, and he knows
20:44it's ups and downs and blah, blah, blah, I think he's going to acknowledge that they're
20:48in a precarious spot.
20:50And that there's, like, maybe there's a lot on the table.
20:55It is one of those moments that feels like there's a lot going on.
20:58It does.
20:58No doubt.
20:59It feels like there's a lot going on.
21:00But what's a lot on the table?
21:01Like, what can they...
21:02What do you mean by that?
21:03Well, there's...
21:03Somebody could be moved?
21:05Yeah, but that's not solely what...
21:08Like, I think Steve Kerr's contract situation is part of it.
21:12Wow.
21:12I don't know how big.
21:13You know, Kaminga's obviously a big issue within the team.
21:18But I also think now the veterans are getting questioned.
21:22You got to...
21:23Maybe it's time we got to start talking about some of the veterans.
21:25You know, last time we did this, you won the award.
21:29Remember, Steve gave you the best question of the group award.
21:32Oh, that's right.
21:33So what question would you like to ask?
21:36Now, that's great.
21:37We can make that happen for you, Stiney.
21:40So if you...
21:41A little pressure.
21:42That subject you just brought up, if you were to drop the question around it, what would it be?
21:48I would say something like...
21:50I'm going to write it down.
21:50It's 2-11, so he'll come up with something fast.
21:53That's a four.
21:55Although technically you've been in this situation before without a contract for the following year...
22:03Comma, comma.
22:04We must acknowledge times have changed.
22:08Could there be any negative aspect to the fact that you're not under contract next year in a team-building sense?
22:18You criticize Guru for his length of question?
22:21Could there be any negative...
22:23That was a voice, man.
22:24...to the aspect that you're not under contract for next year in a team-building sense?
22:32Correct.
22:32Correct.
22:33Okay.
22:34I got it.
22:35Actually, I'd probably reword that.
22:37How'd you like to reword it?
22:38I mean, I can edit.
22:41But it would be along those lines.
22:43Okay.
22:43Along those lines.
22:44Steve, you have no contract.
22:45Is it affecting your ability to team-build?
22:49How about that, Stiney?
22:51Just cut to the chase, Jamar.
22:53How about...
22:54I have no idea.
22:56Steve, did we lose you?
22:56But do any of us feel like if that was his answer, that, like, I don't think that would be suffice it like that?
23:03That doesn't explain it.
23:04Just his contract status leading to not knowing what the rotation...
23:08You know what I mean?
23:09It's on the players.
23:10I get that, Dibs.
23:11But, man.
23:12I wonder, is there more going on than the rotations?
23:17Oh, God.
23:17Doesn't it...
23:18Yes.
23:19Yeah.
23:19That's all I'm saying.
23:20It feels like big, big, big yes.
23:21What comes to mind real quick as he gets out of here?
23:24As far as what's going on?
23:26Minutes?
23:27Oh, well, yes.
23:29Relationships.
23:30Yeah.
23:32Relationships.
23:33Agendas.
23:36Wow.
23:37System.
23:39Fit.
23:39You could...
23:40You could go...
23:40Because Lakeham did mention this style of play.
23:43That was...
23:43That was...
23:44Wow.
23:45Give me that category.
23:45You could go about it this way.
23:47But you...
23:47I don't think it would work for you because you're just...
23:50You're more steady than me.
23:51But I'd be like, Steve, no way you're coaching next year here, right?
23:57You're coaching?
23:57There's no chance.
23:59Steve.
24:00Come on.
24:00Steve.
24:01No chance, right?
24:02Are we heading for a Weber-Nelly with Kaminga and Kerr?
24:06And that's why, as you guys were doing your show today, I was thinking about that 30 years
24:11ago where Weber...
24:13Broke my heart.
24:13Weber, I want out.
24:15And Nelly, fine.
24:16You leave.
24:16And then he got fired four months later.
24:18Oh, my God.
24:18So you had neither Weber nor Nelly.
24:20You guys had an interesting conversation earlier today about that whole idea of what
24:25do you do with a player that doesn't want to be there?
24:27Like, to me, it's a non-star...
24:30So you're with me.
24:31You gotta go.
24:31Gone.
24:32Yeah.
24:32And both organizations deserve to be criticized.
24:35Now we're talking about Ayuk.
24:36Yeah.
24:37Deserve to be criticized for the fact that they did not listen...
24:40Oh, man.
24:40...to what they knew in the moment on both Jonathan and Brandon.
24:45Because they could have really got something for those guys.
24:49And my million-dollar question for Brandon is, what did they do that turned you off?
24:54They gave you everything to me.
24:55Just, I would love to know that.
24:58What did they do for you to want out?
25:00I thought about the timeline today where he kind of holds out or holds in, and then they
25:05draft Pearsall.
25:06And then he finally signs.
25:08And then he gets hurt.
25:09And he misses the rest of the year.
25:11And then they go ahead and sign Demarcus Robinson.
25:13They re-sign Juwan.
25:15They draft Jordan Watkins.
25:16And now he's trying to rehab.
25:18And he's thinking, you already got about five or six receivers, and I'm trying to get healthy.
25:22But none of your caliber.
25:24You played with Debo.
25:25I do think that he was in his feelings.
25:27Shout out, Drake.
25:28I do think it would be worthwhile to go back and look at the exact timeline of all that
25:34kind of stuff.
25:34That's kind of the way it went.
25:35That's paid to me.
25:36That's so soft, if that's what it is.
25:38You said that yesterday.
25:39That's so soft.
25:40After you got paid.
25:41In the NFL, you're mad because you drafted someone at my position?
25:46I got to agree.
25:47That's so soft.
25:48And they paid you.
25:50Over paid you.
25:51Nick Friedel, 315.
25:53Yep.
25:54And then Steve Kerr, 5 o'clock.
25:55All right here on 95.7 The Game.
25:59I had my Niner stat for you.
26:00Never mind.
26:01All right.
26:02Tomorrow.
26:02No.
26:03No.
26:03Never.
26:04No, it's over.
26:05It's over.
