00:03This show is brought to you by Relentless Investments,
00:05driving Australia's maritime and defence future
00:08with rufflers, cutting-edge vessels.
00:11Encourage business solutions, offshore outsourcing made easy,
00:15experience excellence and save tens of thousands of dollars monthly.
00:26Well, I find myself here in Willara, Victoria.
00:30Now, the sun is coming up and the farmers are about to go to work,
00:33but there's something really special in this area.
00:36They're called the Red Machines.
00:38Let's see if we can find one.
00:39Willara is a small town in Victoria, 230 k's west of Melbourne,
00:44with a population of around about 400 people.
00:48But it's in the heart of the farming country.
00:51The area is known for a mix of livestock and cropping.
00:54At Athol Bray Farms, they've got merino sheep, wheat, canola,
00:59lupins and today they're planting oats with the help of a Case IH tractor.
01:06See these red beasts from Case IH in the paddock?
01:09And I'm impressed.
01:11To tell me more about these tractors is Case IH's high horsepower tractor
01:16product manager, Justin Bryant.
01:18His mates call him JB.
01:20And I'm very keen to find out what makes these tractors
01:23so powerful, productive and smart.
01:27Well, I've been looking for a red beast and I finally found one.
01:30But more importantly, I found the man who knows all about them.
01:34His name is Justin Bryant.
01:35He's the product manager.
01:36Welcome to the show.
01:37Thanks, Dipper.
01:38Thanks for having me on.
01:39I'm so looking forward to finding out about these red beasts.
01:42Explain what we're doing here.
01:43Dipper, this is the red beast you were looking for.
01:45This is the 715 quad track and it is the biggest tractor,
01:49the most powerful tractor that Case IH has in the market today.
01:53Now, talk about quad track.
01:55Now, I see some of these machines have got wheels
01:58and some have got quads on them.
01:59Exactly.
02:00Explain the difference.
02:01Well, the quad track design we bought into the market,
02:04we introduced in 1996.
02:07Now, this was a 360 horsepower tractor
02:09and it's just what the market needed then.
02:12As the market's grown, so too's our horsepower.
02:14We've doubled in size, we've gone to 715
02:16and we have all this traction.
02:19Now, there's so many things to talk about in tractors,
02:21but technology is number one.
02:24Absolutely, it is, Dipper.
02:25And we've put all the technology into this.
02:27We're in a connected world.
02:29We can transfer files from one machine to the other.
02:32The owner can see exactly where the machine's at,
02:34exactly what it's planting and how much.
02:37And when it comes time to harvest,
02:38we can even see how much we're getting off.
02:40I'm a farmer in Central Victoria.
02:41Now, I understand these red beasts all across Australia.
02:45What type of farming do these red beasts take over?
02:48Look, these are Mr. Versatile within the broad acre industry,
02:51whether it comes to the start of the year
02:54with our tillage and seedbed preparation,
02:56to our sowing,
02:58and then even hauling the chasers
03:00and the bins for the harvest program.
03:03So, any type of farming, anywhere in Australia,
03:06these red beasts can handle it?
03:07Right around the year, Dipper.
03:08Now, I know you're passionate for this
03:10because you are a very excitable person.
03:12Well, I want to be excited too.
03:14Can you take me a bit of a drive?
03:16Absolutely.
03:16That's the good bit.
03:17Let's do it, eh?
03:25So, you've got all your navigation there, right?
03:27So, that screen there is 4-1.
03:30Well, normally we'd use one screen
03:33for our navigation, for our GPS.
03:35Yeah.
03:36And the other machine would be used
03:37to monitor our implement.
03:39Okay.
03:39What we've got going on behind.
03:41So, we might see things like our seeding rates,
03:44see what type of seed we're planting,
03:47what type of fertilisers we're planting.
03:49Righto.
03:50And even down to the point
03:52that we can have an agronomist
03:54send us a prescription map
03:56with a targeted rate of fertiliser and seed
04:02so that we can sow with just the right amount
04:05and not waste any.
04:10Case-Trying HHS provided industry-leading machinery
04:13to Aussie farmers for generations.
04:15So, let's hear from someone
04:17who's chosen the famous brand
04:19and is out there farming every day with it.
04:24I'm Russell Doover, a third-generation farmer.
04:27Over the past 40 years,
04:29we have been using Case-I-H machinery
04:32and it has been proven to be reliable
04:35and fuel-efficient.
04:37And the backup service from the company
04:39is second to none.
04:40If you're thinking of machinery,
04:42definitely consider Case-I-H.
04:45G'day, guys.
05:04Deppie here.
05:05I'm a very proud ambassador
05:07for the Flickr of Hope Foundation
05:09who raised funds and awareness for NF.
05:12NF is a devastating genetic condition
05:15that causes tumours to grow throughout the body
05:18along with learning difficulties,
05:20sight and hearing loss
05:21and chronic pain.
05:23There is no cure.
05:25Very few treatments
05:26and the outcome for each person is unknown.
05:30Along with my fellow ambassadors,
05:32Peter, Josh and Nick Dacos,
05:35Anthony Stephens and Roger Corsa,
05:37we spent time raising awareness about NF.
05:39I would love your support for this worthwhile course.
05:43Head to flickerwithhope.org.au
05:45to find out more.
05:46All right, JB, that was a smooth ride.
06:13Now, tell us a little bit about this machine here
06:14called the Magnum.
06:16Dipper, this is our Magnum.
06:17We do these in wheeled units.
06:19We do them in tracks
06:20for all sorts of purposes,
06:22whether it's broadacre like we see here today
06:24with this air seeder on behind.
06:26We might sow a little bit of crop today,
06:28but we see it in hay.
06:29We see it with sprayers.
06:31We see it pre-season with tillage.
06:34We use this for everything.
06:36So this is a real working machine.
06:37Absolutely.
06:38And you'll see them all over the country.
06:40And once again,
06:41it makes the farmer's job a lot easier
06:43because of all the technology
06:44that the Steiger had
06:46is still in the Magnum as well.
06:48Exactly the same.
06:49And even better,
06:50the layout of the cab is exactly the same.
06:53So any operator can jump from one to the other
06:55and all works the same.
06:57Now, JB,
06:57the Steiger's got four tracks, right?
07:00The Magnum here's got two tyres
07:02and two tracks.
07:04Why?
07:04Well, they're a little bit different in the chassis.
07:06You see, this one,
07:07it's a rigid machine,
07:09whereas the Steiger,
07:10it's articulated.
07:11Right on.
07:11It bends in the middle
07:12and turns back and forth
07:14and also each one of those tracks oscillates
07:17just like this one.
07:18OK.
07:18Now, with this one,
07:20it adapts so well to the ground.
07:22Whatever the terrain is,
07:24those oscillations of those tracks
07:26mean that I can get that full footprint
07:28on the ground all the time
07:29as well as getting the helping hand
07:31from the front axle.
07:32We've seen the red machines
07:36from Case IH
07:37that pull the implements,
07:39but let's see what's on the back
07:40of this one today.
07:42G'day, I'm Mark Mullane
07:44from Horwood Bagshaw.
07:45I'm a product specialist
07:46and what we've got here today
07:48is a Horwood Bagshaw air seeder
07:50and a precision seeder bar.
07:53We've filled the air seeder up
07:54full of food-growed oats.
07:57They'll be being planted today
07:58for food consumption
07:59and how we do that,
08:01we transfer the seed,
08:03being an air seeder,
08:04we transfer it from the air cart
08:05through to the bar
08:06via the air kit
08:07and it runs through
08:08our precision seeding system
08:10which sows the seed
08:11at an even depth
08:12right across the paddock.
08:14Massive piece of equipment.
08:16Horwood Bagshaw
08:16being the second oldest
08:18agricultural manufacturing company
08:20in the world.
08:21We've been doing this
08:22for a long, long time
08:23and this is one of our latest offerings
08:25that we've got here.
08:26Variety of sizes,
08:273,000 litres
08:29through to the great big one
08:30at 21,000.
08:31The one we've got here today
08:32is 15,000 litres.
08:34Our bar size has ranged
08:35from 20 to 62 feet.
08:37This one's a 40-foot machine.
08:39When you've got a rig like this,
08:41you can sow 250 hectares a day.
08:44Massive, massive capability.
08:57Well, I have a great day
08:59I've had here in Wallora.
09:01I've learned about the red beast
09:02through this man here.
09:04His name is JB.
09:05We all know him now.
09:07Tell us a little bit more
09:07about the one behind us, mate.
09:09Well, Dipper,
09:10I've got a little challenge
09:11and I think you might relate here.
09:13You know, this beast is powerful,
09:16tough, but gentle.
09:17Yeah.
09:18That's what remind me of me.
09:20What we'll do
09:20is this egg here,
09:22I think we might bury it
09:24just to show
09:25how light we are on our feet.
09:28Oh, yeah, I can hear it.
09:29All right.
09:30That goes in there.
09:31You're going to cover that up, right?
09:32Yeah, we'll cover that up.
09:34And you're telling me
09:35I'm going to drive the tractor over this
09:36and it won't break.
09:38It won't break.
09:39We'll just have to find it again.
09:40Oh, except the challenge.
09:42All right, Dipper,
09:42I think it might be your turn to drive.
09:44Can't wait.
09:45I cannot wait.
09:54OK, let's go check out this egg.
10:18Absolutely, Dipper.
10:20It's around here somewhere.
10:21Where do you reckon it is?
10:22I think for your ID
10:22where we left it, Dipper.
10:23There you are.
10:25I'm expecting it to be broken.
10:28No, no, it is there.
10:29That is unbelievable.
10:32That machine went right over.
10:33I'll tell you what.
10:35I'm going to show you.
10:35This is not hard-boiled.
10:37Look at that.
10:37There's a real egg.
10:39Absolutely amazing.
10:40Now, if you want to know more
10:41about Case IH,
10:43where do we go to?
10:44We go to caseih.com.
10:46That's all I say.
10:48Get around here.
10:49Caseih.com.
10:50See you soon.
10:53G'day, Dipper here.

11:47Well, I find myself
11:58in my own state of Victoria
12:00in Altona North.
12:01Now, if you've got trucks on the road
12:02or machinery on the farm,
12:04tyres matter.
12:06When you're running a big rig
12:07across tough Australian roads and fields,
12:10tyre safety is everything.
12:12That's where TrekCare steps in
12:13with the right tyres
12:15to keeping your fleet rolling,
12:17safe and saving you money.

12:26and reduce downtime.
12:28Trusted by farmers nationwide,
12:30Seat keeps you running.
12:32Well, I'm going to catch up
12:33with General Manager Shabik
12:35to find out why
12:36Seat tyres are suited
12:38for Aussie conditions.
12:39Now, can someone help me down?
12:42Well, we're lucky
12:43about to catch up
12:44on the General Manager Shabik.
12:46Welcome to the show, mate.
12:47Thank you, Bipro.
12:48Thanks, Arjun.
12:48I'm so excited about to hear
12:50about what your product
12:51is all about
12:51and who you are now.
12:53TrekCare, how did it all start
12:54and what's it all about?
12:56Righto.
12:57So, Brett Morgan, the director,
12:59he started the company in 2011.
13:01It all started here
13:02in Altona North.
13:03We're one of the biggest
13:04national wholesalers
13:06in the country of the world.
13:07Righto, okay.
13:08We've now got branches
13:09in Adelaide, Brisbane,
13:12Townsville, Melbourne, of course.
13:13And we have got tyres
13:15with a few leading companies
13:17and we've got
13:18a few national agreements.
13:19One of them is, of course,
13:21Seat tyres.
13:22Tell me about what
13:22Seat tyres is all about.
13:24So, we were approached
13:25by Seat in 2018.
13:29Yeah.
13:29Seat are a manufacturer
13:30of agricultural tyres
13:32and they were looking
13:33for a partner in Australia
13:34to distribute their products.
13:36So, we thought it would be
13:37a right fit for our business.
13:39So, we looked at their product range
13:41and it looked impressive
13:42and we thought we could
13:43give this brand a go.
13:44Yeah.
13:45We've got tyres on the road,
13:47you've got tyres in the farm,
13:48you've got tyres all over the place,
13:50right,
13:50but there's a whole dealership
13:52around it.
13:53Yes.
13:54So, we cater to every segment
13:55of the market.
13:56So, we do forward drive tyres,
13:58car tyres,
13:58track tyres,
14:00tractor tyres.
14:01We do fit a lot of
14:02our equipment here as well
14:03for leading companies
14:05like Borgo Australia and stuff.
14:06Okay.
14:06But our main strength
14:07is our dealer network
14:08in the country
14:09or our tyre dealers
14:10that we supply tyres to
14:12and we've been lucky enough
14:14to actually build up
14:15a network of tyre dealers
14:17around the country
14:17who support and back our product
14:20out in the field.
14:21Now,
14:22you're talking about
14:22backup of product
14:24out in the field,
14:25on the road.
14:26We've got these big trucks,
14:27we've got these big machineries,
14:28but we need tyres.
14:29That's right.
14:30And it really
14:32is the important part
14:34about how we all
14:35work in this country.
14:37I know it's a simple thing,
14:39but we've got to start
14:41with tyres
14:41or else we've got nothing.
14:43That's right.
14:44Like,
14:44we need tyres
14:46on our tractors.
14:46Yeah, yeah.
14:47Now,
14:47Shabik,
14:47just tell us a little bit
14:48about the R&D,
14:49not Robert Dippe,
14:50let me really go.
14:51The research and development
14:52is see our tyres.
14:54Righto.
14:54So,
14:55as you can see behind me,
14:56we do a full range of tyres,
14:57start from
14:58industrial,
14:59like small backhoe tyres
15:01to big farm tyres.
15:02Yeah, okay.
15:02There's a lot of research
15:03and development
15:04that's gone into the product
15:05since we've taken the brand over.
15:06All the bias tyres
15:08are now tubeless.
15:09All the tractor tyres
15:10are deload rated,
15:11so the 465 pay rating.
15:14So,
15:15all the big tractors
15:15can now travel down the road.
15:17Most of the farmers nowadays
15:19have got bigger equipments
15:20and contractors
15:21going from farm to farm.
15:23So,
15:23it's important
15:24for the tractors
15:25to be able
15:26to run on the road.
15:28So,
15:28that's one major
15:29important development
15:30that the factory's done
15:31and made all these tyres
15:32to 65k rated.
15:34The CET
15:34philosophy
15:35is based on CTR,
15:37which is called
15:38compaction,
15:39traction and rodability.
15:40Okay.
15:41Compaction,
15:41you want the lowest
15:42tall compaction
15:42for better health
15:43of your crop.
15:44Of course,
15:45you need traction
15:45because if you get
15:46in the wet,
15:47you don't want to get bogged.
15:48Exactly right.
15:49So,
15:49you need traction
15:49on the ground
15:50and that reduces slippage
15:51which saves you fuel.
15:53And of course,
15:53rodability
15:54as we've spoken about,
15:55you need to be able
15:56to go from farm to farm
15:57and drive at the 65k
15:59sort of
16:00per hour
16:00speed limit.
16:01Now,
16:02it's all about farm to farm.
16:03Now,
16:03you're showing me
16:04around here,
16:05I want to see
16:06a farm.
16:07You're going to
16:07take me as you will farm?
16:08Let's go.
16:08All right,
16:09let's do it.
16:09You stay right there
16:10and we'll get there.
16:11Righto.

17:13would be
17:14replacement tyres
17:15and also
17:15on new machinery
17:16when we
17:17establish them
17:18and set them up
17:19we also require
17:20exchange tyres
17:21and replacement
17:22wheel equipment.
17:24We engage
17:24in ag tyres
17:25and wheels
17:26to help us out
17:27with some of the
17:28wheel package
17:30requirements
17:30and we also
17:31work with
17:32tread care.
17:34We have been sourcing
17:35our wheels locally
17:35from ag tyres
17:36and wheels
17:37and we get our tyres
17:38through tread care.
17:39We have been putting
17:40Seat tyres
17:40on our tractors
17:41for approximately
17:42five years.
17:43We have fitted them
17:44to high horsepower
17:44machines and found
17:45them to be
17:46of high quality
17:47durable
17:47and perfect
17:48for the demands
17:49of our local
17:50customers.
17:51Seat tyres
17:51deliver great
17:52performance in the
17:53field and our
17:53customers are happy
17:54with their value
17:55that they are getting
17:55out of their tyres.
17:56So when it comes
17:57to Seat tyres
