01:15news because phoenix investors has bought ge's fluorescent factory in circleville ohio this

01:22facility had been home to the primary fluorescent production facility for ge once upon a time and this is

01:32actually like the third building that phoenix investors has bought from ge that's just weird right

01:39um griven a facade lighting maker has been bought by no iber srl again not sure how to pronounce this

01:52company name but it is no iber srl uh the deal is not has been closed for unspecified terms

01:59uh copper is the most expensive it's ever been and demand is gonna keep it that way for a little while

02:09just just so you know uh global semiconductor sales are up by about 4.7 percent mostly on betting on ai

02:19but that is affecting every other semiconductor sector the united states department of energy has

02:26pulled their zero emissions building guidance document this was a completely voluntary framework

02:33that served as a reference for state level building uh codes that was only published in june of last year

02:40we have a new rare earths mine potentially opening in utah uh ion ionic mineral tech in utah has

02:49claims that they have access to a site that is home to 16 minerals that are key to the production of

02:57electronics the united states department of energy has funded new rare earth supply chains which is to say

03:05they are offering 134 million dollars in grants to anyone that can support rare earths without

03:12necessarily reaching out overseas on the tariff tracker the chinese trade surplus is now at one

03:20trillion dollars and u.s households have paid just about a one

03:27twelve hundred dollars twelve hundred dollars in tariff costs in the past nine months we have

03:34fluorescent bands going ahead on the first of january in hawaii maine minnesota illinois and canada

03:41all of these have different levels of restrictions at different times but they do affect imports and sales

03:49and manufacturing of mercury-based lighting so get familiar with that if you're any of if you are
