01:06see you there let's get into the news because uh the department of homeland security and fema have

01:15partnered up to offer 110 million in grants to non-profit organizations related to faith uh

01:24approximately 600 religious npos will be getting new cameras and new lighting as part of a new grant

01:31grant program the design lights consortium's industry advisory committee is it is looking

01:39for self nominees specifically from lighting specifiers lighting distributors

01:45and smaller lighting manufacturers anyone can from those categories is encouraged to apply

01:52to start working on that committee in september

01:57namra has partnered with the ies with a new educational program planned rep materials has opened a new

02:06shared facility with efi this is a new space outside houston texas

02:11uh lumi presented by inside dot lighting is a new product award and that'll be coming up real soon

02:19the ies is planning a new membership drive they have a new road plan to offer uh 75 000 or to to add

02:2975 000 members by 2029 energy focus has entered a securities purchase agreement with both their ceo and cfo

02:39uh securing 500 000 in a private placement we have we have a reverse stock split at orion which is a one for ten

02:49merge that will keep the stock on the nasdaq uh they have to maintain a value of more than a dollar per share

02:58uh for an extended period of time this reverse stock split will jump them from 60 cents to six dollars

03:05probably enough to stick around on the on the big board for a while on the tariff tracker we are elbows down as

03:14canada drops retaliatory tariffs against the u.s ahead of negotiations and the chinese led industry is

03:23planning price hikes of about 10 percent in the next little while uh q4 reports that lsi shows that

03:31their revenues are up 12 percent the signify share buyback continues to continue with 45 000 or so

03:38shares back with the board at 22 40 euros apiece uh the port of baltimore was blocked again

03:48for only an afternoon but it was by a maritime accident a ship shipping coal exploded and all the

04:16uh the aigo is planning a new u.s ipo this is a chinese consumer products company that is planning on a 10

04:27million dollar filing soon uh dmf has a new website for their lighting products it's nice uh canada post

04:36has resumed its negotiations uh with their union uh mediators were delayed by acting on the air canada

04:44strike but that should be going ahead soon enough uh remains lighting and commune are celebrating 10

04:51years of design collabs which is good for them in legal briefs uh signify and light on might settle

04:58uh light on is in a dispute with their lawyers and that is shaking up proceedings and negotiations are

05:05going ahead without counsel triple c lighting and controls sues ula uh former triple c staffers that

05:14now own and operate ula are accused of multiple contract breaches in events and webinars the i triple

05:21e conference is still taking abstracts they are welcoming last minute contributions uh registration

05:29is open for the canada light expo that's november 12th and 13th in mississauga ontario on august 28th

05:54in iot news we have a recall on the mi boxer wi-fi enabled two-in-one led controller uh they are reporting

06:05both melting and overheating but um no one's been hurt yet no property damage yet other than you know

06:12the melting uh we have a fan of insteon a user of insteon buying the company uh insteon shut down three

06:22years ago but now they're back up and running and you can actually connect those products to the cloud

06:28again if you still got them uh rockwell has published the state of smart manufacturing with

06:35a new doc talking about cyber threats and the role of security pros lynn gomez was on the lighting

06:42controls podcast dojo networks is on the inc 5000 as one of the fastest growing private companies

06:50so is deco good on them quebec quebec so nice they named it twice is adding ai to their traffic

06:58controls incorporating google data analytics into their street uh their traffic signaling not their

07:06street lighting but their street traffic signaling systems in r&d ams osram have doubled the efficiency

07:14of uvc led now they are at uh 10 output at 200 milliwatts at 265 nanometers inoviz has partnered with

07:26cron ai and d2 traffic tech this new deal will improve lidar use at intersections uh perovskite solar

07:35cells from ucl that's university college of london will will work indoors uh they are they have hit a new

07:43record in energy conversion using interior lighting uh bingham tenu and the state of uh the state

07:51university of new york have partnered up to study a bunch of doe data points from the past 10 years

07:56and found that energy bills hit minority households harder than other households specifically uh the

08:05bulk of it comes from african-american or latino homes the university at buffalo has launched a new

08:12resilient design competition with architects and designers teaming up to confront disastrous

08:18weather we have officially determined the largest bioluminescent predator and it's in the south

08:27pacific off the coast of new zealand the kite fin shark glows in the dark i don't know what to tell

08:33you uh the light emitted is between 455 and 40 86 nanometers and they do like to swim very deeply

08:42we have a new korean sleep study that shows if you don't sleep enough you'll die early if you sleep

08:50too much you'll also die early uh sleep determine uh sleep disturbances have been linked with a number

08:57of things including mental health changes including dementia particularly dementia also sleep disturbances

09:04and poor sleep have been linked with chronic disease we have light exposure after dark being a

09:09particular harm to bipolar individuals dsi is going to begin recognizing ports that's right the lighting

09:17at uh shipping ports will now be able to receive dark sky international recognition like oil fields

09:25breckenridge colorado has been recognized by dark sky international as a community uh light pollution

09:33has extended bird activity by 50 minutes per day chinese adults like it when parks have lighting

09:41princeya has secured 15 000 in light pollution research funding uh dhs and ice have 60 days to appeal a

09:50judge's ruling or they will have to shut down their new facility in south florida fort myers has set a record

09:58for sea turtle disorientations this year this hatching season has seen more sea turtles suffer from light

10:07pollution than ever before uh a new mexico state university professor is calling for revisions to the

10:15start the state night sky protection act sierra vista golf course wants to add lighting their neighbors

13:00while but it's going to be a smart base it's going to be fully iot enabled pretty soon uh the university

13:06of kentucky has finished security projects binghamton university has revamped their tracks and their

13:12fields we have improvements at the west virginia school for the deaf and the blind in california

13:20roseville has opposed has approved renovations for their city hall caldwell idaho is going to be

13:26studying downtown lighting st catherine's ontario has delayed a lighting project budgets are just a

13:33little short uh webster county west virginia their elementary school will not be open in time for the

13:40first day of school because of a lighting project delay is that tariff related no

13:47but it it's just frustrating nonetheless carroll county indiana non-profits are funding renovations

13:56for other non-profits we have park lighting coming for tuscaloosa alabama in florida the high school

14:04athletic association has signed a new partnership with musco lighting to add lighting to sports fields at

14:10high schools similarly the delaware interscholastic athletic association also partnered with musco lighting

14:18to add lighting to sports fields at high schools we have new lighting going ahead at the burlington

14:25notre dame high school in iowa that's their softball field we have new grants for baseball fields in

14:31harpersville alabama we have new federal funds in reading county pennsylvania baseball fields and

14:38internationally the uk government is pulling down english flags from lampposts in um one town

14:47specifically for road modernization nothing else this is still a culture war thing somehow

14:54in hortfordshire in the uk they are switching to part night lighting to save energy and the philippines

15:00is planning round the clock infrastructure work over the winter in sports news the u.s open made a point

15:08of using dark sky lighting in people news marshall owens has joined digger specialties as a territory
