00:00All good. All right, awesome. Well, I'm so excited to be talking to you tonight. You are performing, as you said, with one of your heroes. Tell me a little bit about that and just how you feel about about to take the stage.
00:12It's an honor to get to be a part of tonight. I feel like this whole weekend is a really cool just celebration of this country music community we get to be a part of. And tonight getting to sing with one of my heroes, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, is really cool. She's been such a mentor to me. She like took me in under her wing when I first moved to Nashville and babysat her kids.
00:30And I just love her. So it's a it's just a really cool moment for us to get to share up there tonight.
00:35That is amazing. And now you are no stranger to country A-Listers. You just embarked on tour with Dierks Bentley.
00:43You are going on tour with Maren Morris and then Miranda Lambert's huge girl power tour.
00:49I mean, just tell me, like, let's break it down. OK, touring with Dierks Bentley. Top moment.
00:55Honestly, Dierks has been so great, like taking great care of us. We had a couple of moments where there was some really bad weather and our van was, you know, a little skeptical whether it would make it or not.
01:05So he made room in the buses for us. And there's been lots of moments where it's just really cool to get to watch the way that he is on and off the stage.
01:13He's such a kind and genuine human. Absolutely.
01:16Absolutely. And then Maren's tour. How it just kicked off in Chicago, actually.
01:20How have you been preparing? What have you been doing? I know you're on a few dates.
01:24So tell me a little bit. Yes, I get to be a part of a couple of dates and I look up to her.
01:28I'm so excited to have been getting to watch her path these past few years.
01:32And she's really creating a trail all on her own. So I'm just so pumped to get to be a part of that.
01:38Yeah. Well, now the big announcement that just happened literally like two days ago, Miranda Lambert's super tour filled with incredible women, including yourself.
01:50What was your reaction to finding out?
01:53To be honest, I'm still kind of freaking out. This is all real life. I love that. It's like it's just the dream.
01:59You know, I just have listened to so many of those songs and I look up to her so much.
02:05And the art that she makes is just so real. And I'm just honored to have a front row seat to get to watch and learn from her.
02:11And this is going to be a really cool fall. I can't wait to get out there.
02:15She's so quite goosebumps literally thinking about it.
02:17Now, why do you think it's so important for women to stand together, especially within country music?
02:23I think that's what country music is all about.
02:25It's like and that's what I love about weekends like this is we all get to high five as we're passing each other in the hallways and, you know, backstage at these events.
02:32It's like giving everybody a hug and saying hi. And I love how everybody cheers each other on. It's pretty great.
02:37Yeah. Now, music coming from you. What are we going to hear from you on the road this summer and fall in addition to Somebody's Daughter, which everybody loves?
02:46Well, thank you for saying that. I can't wait to get new music out there. I'm so pumped.
02:51I'm really looking forward to getting the record out later this year and I'm excited to release a few more songs hopefully before then.
