00:00Pete, I know the Orioles said they had quite a presentation for you in Orlando.

00:04What were some of the key points that they hit on that convinced you this is where you want to be?

00:09I mean, to be honest, it was, I mean, I was pressed with both just like the sheer detail

00:15and like just pretty much laying everything out there, whether it be from not just like the talent they had,

00:22but they did a ton of examples where they say, hey, with your contribution, this is what we look like.

00:28It was very detailed and also too, they did a deep dive on the renovations that not just are going to be going on in the park,

00:38that are going to be going on in the spring training complex in Sarasota.

00:42And then most importantly, I think like the biggest thing is just like how they see the game,

00:50how they see the future moving forward.

00:52It was the entire blueprint.

00:53And I mean, just their passion for winning and then also their vision and what they were willing,

01:04pretty much what they told me is like, hey, this is where we see you and how we're going to get there.

01:08Like you're going to be a big part in winning a championship here.

01:11And to me as a player, that's not just like them saying that,

01:18them like pretty much giving me the entire blueprint of the organization is extremely refreshing.

01:24And I mean, as we talked and not just went through things in the minutia,

01:31the organization and stuff like that, just getting to know them as men and people,

01:35it really gave me a kind of like a good insight on what my day is going to be like every day in the clubhouse

01:42and what this culture is going to be like.

01:43And there's a lot of talent.

01:45There's a lot of young talent.

01:46And I feel like I'm going to help this team achieve greatness.

01:49It was well documented that you really loved being a New York Met.

01:52Was there a conversation or maybe something in negotiations that you started to really see yourself as a Baltimore Oriole?

01:59Yeah, I mean, for sure.

02:00I think as like the free agent process, like once you, I mean, once that kind of starts,

02:08you really kind of don't know what's going to happen.

02:12It's kind of like this weird baseball limbo.

02:15But then as you start to sit down and really kind of think about things,

02:20you kind of have some time to really reflect.

02:23But then honestly, like as the off season progressed and realistically, I mean, as we got further along,

02:33this partnership has, for me, it was just head and shoulders above everybody else.

02:40Like this park, this city, this team, this organization, everything combined,

02:46it's just everything just clicked.

02:48It just, and for me, I think that was absolutely, it was the perfect fit for not just as a player,

02:54but as a, for, for family life too.

02:58I mean, this is, I mean, there's, I could go up and down a laundry list of things where it's like,

03:03there's just so many boxes, like every single box this place checks.

03:07And for us, we're just so pleased.

03:10And for, for this organization to see, see me, not just in the now, but in the future.

03:16I mean, such a, it's such a blessing.

03:19And I, I can't wait to play, can't wait to perform.

03:22I can't wait to win games.
