00:08How much pressure is it to create dances that both impress the judges and the audience?
00:16That's a great question.
00:17It's a lot of pressure because they don't necessarily always are satisfied by the same thing.
00:24I think after 27 seasons, 26 seasons, I mean, how many chachas have you seen?
00:30How many rumbas?
00:31So for us to recreate those dances and make them look fresh and new and appeal to the public,
00:36sometimes you have to venture outside of the rulebook.
00:39And those are the times that the judges are usually not the nicest.
00:45But personally, I think in art in general, rules are there to be broken, but they have to be learned first.
00:52So our job as the choreographer and teacher is to create a routine that will showcase that we know the genre,
00:59understood the genre, fulfilled the assignment, and then ventured out into our own little creative world.
01:04Amazing.
01:05Thank you guys so much.
01:06Sorry I had such a short time with you.
01:07I'm sorry.
01:09No worries.
01:09It's not your fault.
01:11You're totally fine.
01:12You can ask another question.
01:13Am I okay to ask one more?
01:15Okay, okay.
01:16So thanks.
01:17I know.
01:18So what are you guys most – what do you think is going to be your biggest challenge this season?
01:25You go and then let me know.
01:28What would be her biggest challenge?
01:30I think Nancy's biggest challenge, I think it's a common challenge for a lot of people, is to, you know, gain confidence and believe in herself.
01:45And I know that that's not something that she will just do overnight.
01:50That's something that she has to earn, even for herself, and I love that.
01:53But, you know, I think I'm excited for the moment where she could finally stand up tall and believe in herself and trust the fact that she's good enough.
02:02And what do you think would be your biggest challenge?
02:06I think he's right.
02:07You know, the biggest challenge is with myself, you know, just really stepping into something that I've never done before,
02:14trying to just breathe with it and believe you can do it and stand in those shoes and have some fun and some joy and not look at my feet.
