00:00Tandy was a very hard character to understand. She has so many layers. She's complicated,
00:17she's self-destructive, cynical, but also has this hope that just keeps building up inside of her.
00:23She kind of learns over the course of our first season that even though she thinks the world is
00:28a horrible place that she can add hope to it. And Tyrone on the other side lives on a spectrum
00:32from fear to bravery and he learns hopefully over the course of our first season that I need to be
00:38brave, I need to be a hero. It's not what you think. I think there's only two things you can do with
00:42ball cutters. Steal something or break into something. It's gonna be a joy for the audience
00:47to see Ty's growth because it's, he goes on a journey. As he first starts figuring out his
00:52powers, he'll just teleport off of whatever he's feeling. As the season goes on, he starts to
00:57get that, that fearlessness again and that power. Ty and Tandy have this power where it's just their
01:03own. I contract light daggers out of my hand and Ty teleports. But for some reason when they use them
01:10together something, something magical happens. Tandy goes through so much that she, and she,
01:17she deals with so many things in her life. And to be as resilient as she is and to stay confident in
01:23every single one of those situations is, um, is, is pretty powerful. The universe keeps pushing us
01:29together. The universe keeps pulling us apart. It's not only about them figuring out their superpowers,
01:37they're figuring out who they are as people and they're figuring out who they are as humans. We're
01:40concerned that you're gonna be screwing it up for us. Now listen, I promise I'm gonna- Just the fact that
01:46racism is still a thing and, and the fact that police brutality is still a thing, you know,
01:50we, and we, we deal with all of that. Run! I think it's gonna be great for these kids everywhere to
01:57just see themselves on TV. I'm a young black man in the South. They see me, they see a thug. You get to
02:03know people. That's how you get your cop. You get your justice. This is for them.
