00:00And on International Human Rights Day, the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador, the CONAE, stated that the country is experiencing an unprecedented regression in human rights.
00:12In a statement released on Wednesday, the organization noted that the 1948 Universal Declaration established life and dignity as limits to state power principles that are not currently respected in the Indian nation.
00:27The organization also noted that the country had almost 9,000 murders as of November, along with an increase in femicides, prison massacres and disappearances as well.
00:39In a statement, CONAE denounced the lack of progress in the security policies of Daniel Novo's government and the expansion of organized crime, while reaffirming its proclamation that the state has failed in its duty to protect life.
