25:17What would you say?
25:18Like, if somebody wants to pitch a tune
25:20What's the right way to go about it?
25:23Well, man, the right way is
25:24First of all, build the relationships
25:27With the people who are listening, right?
25:29Either for artists or for themselves, right?
25:32You know, it's the day and age, unfortunately
25:35Where you don't just cold call
25:37And throw CDs at folks, you know
25:39You gotta make sure that you're
25:40You have the trust and, you know
25:44The relationships to be able
25:45It doesn't have to be
25:46You have to be like really great friends
25:48With somebody necessarily
25:49But enough of a relationship
25:51To where they trust that, you know
25:53That you're not gonna throw on something
25:55That's a waste of time
25:57And to know that they really are interested
26:00In hearing what you have to say
26:02In terms of your songs
26:03And then, of course
26:04The relationship's important
26:06But once you get to the point
26:08Where you have a relationship
26:09To pitch music
26:10To an artist or an A&R person
26:14Or a manager, right?
26:15Someone who's taking care of their catalog
26:17Or trying to search songs for them
26:19Then just make sure you have it
26:22In a good, presentable
26:23It doesn't have to be, you know
26:25Fully produced
26:27But you want your craft
26:28To be at a place
26:30Where, you know
26:31It has integrity
26:32And it's fine to pitch a song, man
26:35And to have it passed on
26:37That's a good thing
26:39Because you know
26:40What they're not looking for
26:42And that helps you
26:43To build catalog
26:44That's diverse
26:45If you're a songwriter
26:47So that you can
26:48Because that's what
26:49That's really what it's about
