00:00Keeps rolling.
00:00They are.
00:01Who would have thought we'd be sitting here in early December
00:04and they'd be 15-9 on pace to win 51 games.
00:07So it's funny.
00:08Things have kind of leveled out a little bit.
00:09Not us.
00:10No, I didn't think that.
00:12But, you know, the Raptors for a little while were kind of hanging on
00:15to like the second best record in the East.
00:17You're like, I don't know how long that's going to last.
00:18And that has helped by the Celtics.
00:20That has kind of fallen back into place.
00:22The Knicks have played better.
00:23So now when you look at the East, it goes Pistons, Knicks, Celtics, Magic.
00:28I'm still a little surprised the Cavs aren't in that mix.
00:30But overall, I think that's a little bit more what we anticipated the East
00:33to look like.
00:34Yeah, it's still a little too early to look into the standings
00:36and really take them for what it is right now.
00:38And Joe Mazzullo pointed that out after Sunday's win.
00:40He was like, well, it really means nothing.
00:42But that could be true.
00:43And right, it's not even December yet.
00:44Last year at this time, Orlando was the third team in the East.
00:47And it didn't really work out well for them in the long term.
00:49So, yeah, he is on to something.
00:51But how they've gotten there is what's impressive.
00:54And guys like Derek White and Peyton Pritchard really figuring out their roles.
00:57Jalen Brown, we've been talking about it ad nauseum here.
00:59He's playing at an all-NBA level.
01:01The developments of the young guys, Jordan Walsh, Namish Kata, Josh Minot,
01:05like those guys showing up and stepping up.
01:07It's just, it feels like everything's clicking at the right time for this team.
01:11And it's made for quite an interesting run here.
01:14So, outside of the Thunder, who never lose, they've won 15 straight.
01:17They're 23-1.
01:18Jeez.
01:19Outside of OKC, the Celtics have the longest win streak in the NBA.
01:23They've won five straight.
01:24They've won eight out of ten.
01:25They're 15-9.
01:26They're No. 3 in the East.
01:27I don't think it's too early to look at the standings.
01:29We look at them every time you're in, and I think there's something to draw out of it.
01:33How high can they go?
01:35Like, they're No. 3 right now.
01:36They're two games back in the Knicks.
01:37They're four games back in Detroit.
01:39They beat both those teams.
01:40They're a little in front of, not a ton of margin for error.
01:42Orlando, who they beat.
01:44Toronto, who they beat.
01:45They dropped two out of three to Philly, who's right behind them.
01:47They've taken two from Cleveland, who's the seventh seed.
01:49Like, how high can they go in the East?
01:50I mean, you mentioned it.
01:51Like, you just mentioned a couple of Eastern Conference teams there.
01:54They're 8-5 against the top eight teams in the Eastern Conference, and they have a winning
01:57record against every one of those teams except for Philadelphia.
02:00And both of those games came down to the wire.
02:02In fact, they probably should have won the second one that they lost when Jordan Walsh shut down.
02:05They should have won opening night.
02:06They should have won the first game on opening night, too.
02:08So they should have won those games.
02:09And Philadelphia is starting to drop off a little bit.
02:11So just looking at the state of the Eastern Conference, like, there's really no team that
02:15they can't compete with.
02:16And that's more indicative of how bad the conference is.
02:18Like, the East is really, really bad.
