00:00So the Bruins are out of the playoffs, the Celtics are out of the play-in, a top six seed in the Eastern Conference.
00:07Who should tank, Keith? The Celtics, the Bruins, both, or neither?
00:11The answer is probably neither. It's closer to the Bruins still, despite that hot little stretch that they went on, than it is the Celtics.
00:18And for a couple reasons. One, Celtics, as you said, are already the sixth seed right now, which would be a true playoff team.
00:24You don't have to worry about the play-in. The NBA also has horrible, horrible, horrible teams that, even if the Celtics didn't win another game,
00:35they might finish with a better record than Washington, Indiana, New Orleans, Sacramento, Brooklyn.
00:43I just named five, six teams that are the dregs of the league. You're going to see Washington again tonight.
00:47There's no chance. No chance. Horrible. Even with injuries, there's no chance they're going to be as bad as Washington.
00:53So even if you, like, even if you sat Jalen Brown the rest of the way, you're going to finish with, at worst, like, the seventh or eighth worst record, right?
01:01So, like, no. I would say no. I think the Eastern Conference is also wide open.
01:05I mean, we see what happens if Giannis gets traded to somebody in the conference, and that obviously would change things.
01:10But as of right now, how they've been playing as of late, it just feels like, no, this is kind of the team you and I expected.
01:17Fight for the sixth seed, right? We don't have crazy expectations.
01:19We're not saying win 60 games again, or even 50.
01:23Don't even win 50 games.
01:24I'm also not overreacting to how they're playing right now.

01:29Like, I'm not giving them a ton of credit for being, like, 12 and 9 in the sixth seed in the East.

01:33But you have an all-NBA player in Jalen Brown, and you have Derek White and Peyton Pritchard.
01:39I know the big men isn't exactly ideal, but that is also kind of the state of the NBA.
01:44Missoula, you and I both like, despite all those quirks and the guy's kind of a madman.
01:48Like, we like Missoula.
01:49So, no, this is certainly not a team that can and should tank.
01:53And that really has almost nothing to do with the possibility of Tatum coming back.
01:57If Tatum comes back, great.
01:59If Tatum comes back, but you've got to kind of ease him into the action, fine.
02:03If he decides to sit out the entire year, they should still be a team that tries to make the playoffs.
02:08I don't expect much in the playoffs, but whatever.
