00:00Tonight, on The Tonight Show.
00:02It was so cold in New York City this morning, walking to work,
00:05I saw a Wall Street stockbroker spooning with Zoran Mamdani.
00:09You said that you were in your posh era.
00:11Yes.
00:12Oh!
00:13This is you.
00:14This is Victoria.
00:15Yeah.
00:16Have you ever met Victoria Beckham?
00:17No.
00:23You've also become known for, kind of, your grunting on the court.
00:28That has nothing to do with grunting, but it's okay, Jim.
00:31In my house it is.
00:36From Studio 6B and Rockefeller's center in the heart of New York City,
00:40it's The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

01:10Come here.
01:11Now, where's that?
01:12Where's the plan?
01:13Hey, hey, hey, hey.
01:14Woo!
01:15Hey, hey, hey, hey.
01:16Hey, hey, hey, hey!
01:17Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
01:20Hey, hey!
01:21Hey!
01:22Hey!
01:23We're not a guy!
01:24Hey!
01:25Hey!
01:27I'm your man.
01:28Hey, hey, hey, hey!
01:29Hey!
01:30Hey!
01:31Hey!
01:32Hey, hey!
01:33Thank you very much. Enjoy yourself, everybody.
01:35Welcome, welcome, welcome to The Tonight Show!
01:39This is it. You're here.
01:43Well, guys, it's been a freezing cold week so far
01:46in New York City, with an Arctic blast
01:48dropping temperatures into the teens.
01:51Ooh. Ooh!
01:53It's tough. You never want to see
01:54the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree experience shrinkage.
01:57You know?
01:59That's the trees.
02:01Normally, yeah, it's bigger, much bigger.
02:07Plenty of balls. Looks like a bush.
02:08Yeah, well, I know.
02:10It's a tree. It's a tree.
02:12It's cold. It was so cold in New York City
02:15this morning, walking to work,
02:17I saw a Wall Street stockbroker spooning with Zoran Mamdani.
02:22That's what I saw this morning.
02:24On your way.
02:25Meanwhile, it's just as cold in Washington.
02:27Today, Trump was like,
02:28I now regret building a ballroom in December.
02:31Why would I?
02:32Shrinkage.
02:35Yeah, at first, when Trump heard it dipped into the teens,
02:37he was like, what Epstein file did they release now?
02:40And you go, whoa, hey.
02:42Come on.
02:43Whoa, hey, hey. Whoa.
02:46Yeah, people are talking about this.
02:48It appears that Trump once again dozed off
02:50during a meeting at the White House
02:52until he was jolted awake.
02:53Take a look at this.
02:54And we will continue to talk to our farmers,
02:57continue to understand exactly what this looks like
03:00and what is necessary.
03:06Yeah.
03:07How many times a day is this Apple Watch like,
03:09do you need assistance?
03:11It's like, sorry, very sorry.
03:13And listen to this, Trump just threatened to raise tariffs
03:17on Mexico by 5% if they don't send more water to the U.S.
03:22Smart.
03:23If there's one thing I feel totally confident in,
03:25it's water for Mexico.
03:31Do you guys see this?
03:32In a new interview, Trump gave himself an A++++
03:35on the economy.
03:38Once again, this is what happens
03:39when you get rid of the Department of Education.
03:44This is...
03:46Plus, plus, plus...
03:48I'm gonna stop, stop.
03:50Some more news from Washington.
03:52It's almost the end of the year,
03:53and several members of Congress are retiring
03:55or resigning early.
03:56Ooh.
03:57Yeah, they've had enough.
03:58Check out what lawmakers are saying about it.
04:00First up, Congressman Josh Harder said,
04:02I understand the impulse to retire.
04:04Working in Congress has gotten much,
04:06well, my last name.
04:12And Congressman Don Bacon said,
04:13I'm retiring.
04:14After a decade in Congress, I'm done bringing home the,
04:17well, my last name.
04:20And Congressman George Whiteside said,
04:23Yeah, the job really ages you.
04:24I've always had dark hair, but I'm starting to get,
04:26well, my last name.
04:29Then Congressman Jimmy Petronis said,
04:32I might just go so I have time to watch
04:34the new Harry Potter series,
04:35expecto, well, my last name.
04:39Then Congressman Greg Landsman said,
04:42I'm just excited to go home for Christmas, man.
04:44I'm flying spirits, so I really hope my flight,
04:47well, my last name.
04:50Yeah.
04:55A couple more, a couple more.
04:56Then Congressman Joe Wilson said,
04:58I feel so alone in Congress, at this point,
05:01my best friend is a volleyball name,
05:02well, my last name.
05:05Then Congressman Dusty Johnson said,
05:07I don't want to get old here.
05:10I want to retire before I have a, well, my full name.
05:14And finally, Congressman Pat Fallon said,
05:17I just want to go home and watch my favorite late-night host,
05:19Jimmy, well, Kimmel.
05:21And you go, hey, what?
05:24Hey, what's your deal, man?
05:27Wow.
05:30Rude.
05:31Well, switching gears, Australia just launched
05:34the world's first social media ban
05:36for everyone under 16 years old,
05:38which includes TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
05:41That's, yeah.
05:46It's a big deal.
05:47Who knew there was someone under 16 using Facebook?
05:50You know, it's...
05:52Well, some more business news.
05:54Target just opened a newly redesigned,
05:56fashion-focused store in Soho.
05:59Can we see it?
06:00Ooh.
06:01Yeah.
06:02They thought, what if shopping felt more like
06:04I was walking through a colonoscopy?
06:10I'll take that pollen.
06:11Can I see that photo again?
06:12Yeah.
06:13Oh, my God.
06:14Yeah.
06:15There's a pair of twins at the end of the hall saying,
06:18Come shop with us.
06:19Come shop with us.
06:22Guys, the Christmas season is in full swing.
06:24Everybody's enjoying their favorite Christmas music,
06:27right?
06:28It's fun.
06:32But I noticed that this year, they've updated a lot
06:34of classic songs to make them feel a little more modern.
06:37Yeah, for instance, instead of,
06:38It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
06:40there's, It's low-key giving Christmas right now.
06:43Wow.
06:44Like, instead of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,
06:48it's now Rudolph has mad aura.
06:50Oh.
06:51Here's another.
06:53Instead of, I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus,
06:55there's, Mommy and Santa are in a situation ship.
06:58Up next, instead of, It's the most wonderful time of the year,
07:03there's, December is goaded.
07:05And finally, instead of the 12 Days of Christmas,
07:07there's the six, seven days of Christmas.
07:10Very interesting updates.
07:13Finally, guys, we have exactly six shows left before we go
07:18on Christmas break, which means it's time for that beloved
07:21Tonight Show tradition, 12 Days of Christmas Sweaters.
07:25That's right, every show between now and Christmas,
07:38we'll be giving one lucky audience member a euphoric
07:41Christmas sweater from our countdown to Christmas cabinet.
07:44Now, since there are six shows left,
07:51let's open door number six.
07:55Wow!
08:03Thank you very much.
08:17Good luck.
08:18This is unbelievable.
08:20This is a gorgeous one.
08:22All right, now let's see who's going home
08:23with tonight's sweater.
08:24Everyone look at your seat number.
08:27If I call your number, I need you to jump up
08:29and let me know where you are,
08:30because you're getting this sweater.
08:32Quest, can I get a drum roll, please?
08:35Who wants a sweater?
08:37Who wants a sweater?
08:42419!
08:43Come on, bud.
08:43How you doing, bud?

09:03Hey, all right.
09:04Norwalk, Connecticut.
09:05Very good.
09:08It's very cold out there today.
09:10It is.
09:11It's probably very cold in Norwalk, Connecticut as well.
09:13It was.
09:14Yeah.
09:15It was, yeah.
09:15Yeah, you need something to keep you warm.
09:16I definitely do.
09:17I got something for you.
09:18Perfect.
09:19Yeah, do you have anything like this around the house?
09:21I definitely do not.
09:22All right.
09:22Wow.
09:23Would you like to try it on right now for all of us?
09:25Sure.
09:25This is great.
09:26Thank you, bud.
09:27This is gonna be the star.
09:35Shedding.
09:37This is fantastic.
09:38Oh, my gosh, it's gorgeous.
09:40Look how good you look.
09:41You look great.
09:42Wow.
09:43Give our winner another round of applause right here.
09:46Congratulations.
09:47Happy Holidays.
09:48Stick around.
09:49We'll be right back with Victoria Beckham, everybody.
09:51Come on back.
09:52You look great, bud.
09:53I've got the night, but we can get better.
09:55I'm going to get the struggle in the back.
09:57It's better.
09:58It's better.
09:59It's better.
10:00It's better.
10:01It's better.
10:02It's better.
10:03It's better.
10:04But, Timmy, I want to know why I wasn't asked to duet with you,
10:07and what has Justin Timberlake got that I haven't?
10:09Oh, my gosh.
10:09That I haven't.
10:17It's better.
10:18It's better.
10:19It's better.
10:20It's better.
10:21Our first guest was in the best-selling girl group of all time,
10:26the Spice Girls.
10:28She's also a fashion mogul who can be seen in the documentary
10:35Victoria Beckham.
10:36It's streaming now on Netflix.
10:38Everyone, please welcome Victoria Beckham!
10:41Victoria! Victoria! Victoria! Victoria! Victoria! Victoria! Victoria! Victoria! Victoria! Yes!
10:56Come on. Look at that. We love you. Victoria Beckham!
11:03standing. Oh, no big deal.
11:06Thank you for coming back to the show.
11:08Oh, my gosh, thank you for having me.
11:09Hi, everybody.
11:10Yeah, come on.
11:12What are the holidays like at the Beckhams?
11:15Oh, my gosh.
11:16Well, we love the holidays.
11:18And I have to say, since the 1st of November,
11:21Elf has been on heavy rotation.
11:23Good, I like this.
11:24Because my husband is obsessed with anything Christmassy.
11:27But this year, Jimmy, your Christmas album.
11:32What?
11:33The Beckhams can't get enough of it.
11:35Oh, my gosh.
11:36Really?
11:37We cannot.
11:38But, Jimmy, I want to know why I wasn't asked to duet with you.
11:43And what has Justin Timberlake got that I haven't?
11:46Oh, stop it.
11:46Come on.
11:47And whenever you want, I'd love to do anything with you.
11:50Are you kidding me?
11:50But now you're almost, you're actually almost too posh for me.
11:55Wow.
11:56Well, no, this is a good segue.
11:58This is real.
11:58Because earlier, you had a great year.
12:00Earlier this year, your husband was knighted.
12:04Look at you.
12:05You're...
12:05Sir...
12:07Sir David Beckham.
12:11And you are Lady Beckham.
12:13I am Lady Beckham.
12:14Oh, my gosh.
12:15I should have bowed to you.
12:17I'm like, sorry, are you getting used to that at all or being called Lady Beckham?
12:21Is he using, being knighted around the house?
12:24Like, I'm an...
12:25I'm sir now.
12:26As he should.
12:27I mean, so deserved.
12:30So well-deserved.
12:31He's done so much.
12:32We're so proud of him.
12:33What he's done for sport and also his philanthropic work is amazing.
12:39So we're so proud of him.
12:40So deserved.
12:41He always does.
12:42But that must have been...
12:43What was it like with the king, with the sword and...
12:46It was...
12:47It was everything.
12:48We are both so patriotic, so proud to be British.
12:51So for David to be knighted by the king of our country, it meant so much.
12:57It was a real, real pinch me moment.
12:59And I think the whole country is so proud of him.
13:03Everything that he's achieved.
13:04Yeah, everything both of you guys have achieved.
13:06But also, yeah, he did also win the MLS Cup as well this year.
13:10He can't stop.
13:16I'll tell you the one thing.
13:18He is a knight, but I'll tell you the one thing he is not, and that is a barber.
13:22He is not.
13:23You're right.
13:23He is not.
13:24He cannot cut his own hair.
13:25No.
13:25And you got him on video, and you brought this for us today.
13:28It's very, very funny.
13:29Just take a look at what happened.
13:31What have you done?
13:33What have you done?
13:35The thing of the clippers fell off my head.
13:37You were trying to give me some hair cut on what have you done?
13:44It's not funny.
13:46Yeah, yeah, it's not funny.
13:48But it is funny.
13:51How did that happen?
13:52Well, he had a haircut that he wasn't very happy with, and so he just decided to keep
13:57it real, do it himself, and the guard fell off.
14:01And so, obviously, myself and the kids found this hilarious.
14:06We captured it all on social media.
14:07So over 100 million people saw it.
14:10That's what you get, Sir Beckham.
14:13Exactly.
14:14You've got to keep it real.
14:15Yeah, you've got to keep it real.
14:16Take him down a couple of notches.
14:17Yeah.
14:18You're doing fantastic as well.
14:20You are a giant.
14:21Your fashion company is taking off.
14:23Your beauty line launched, and it's crushing.
14:26This is a real headline, by the way.
14:28Victoria Beckham's eyeliner sells every 30 seconds.
14:32Wow.
14:33Once every 30 seconds.
14:36It might be every 20 seconds.
14:38That's quite an old statistic.
14:40Wow.
14:41It's even faster now.
14:42Yeah, yeah.
14:43So, you know, if you are in the market for an eyeliner or some makeup, I might know someone.
14:48I'm always.
14:49Yeah, of course.
14:50Yeah.
14:50Okay.
14:50Congrats on that, and congrats on your new documentary.
14:53Thank you so much.
14:53It's fantastic.
14:54It's getting great reviews.
14:55Victoria Beckham.
14:55It's on Netflix now.
14:57What made you want to do a documentary about you?
15:00Well, you know, I said no at the beginning, and it was my team that convinced me to do
15:04it, and then my husband who made me do it.
15:08And, you know, I was in the Spice Girls for four years, and it was a time that I'm so proud
15:14of.
15:15Yeah.
15:15But I was so defined by that four-year period, and I've been in the fashion industry for
15:2020 years now, and it just felt like the right time to really reflect.
15:25You know, I'm always looking forward.
15:28I say, you know, I always say dream big and then dream even bigger, but working on this
15:32documentary, A, was like a year's intense therapy.
15:36It was, huh?
15:36It really, it really was.
15:38But also, you know, looking back on my journey, it's made me feel so proud, and finally, after
15:45all these years, I've struggled.
15:47You know, it's been 20 years of struggle with the fashion business.
15:51It's a tough, tough industry.
15:53It's not an easy business at all.
15:54It's not, and I've been really honest and really transparent in the documentary, and
15:59I've been told no so much my entire life, and I've worked hard, and I think I've proven
16:06that if you work hard and, you know, you just keep going, that you can achieve great things,
16:12and I'm so proud of what I've achieved and proud that I can now share that journey and
16:17hopefully inspire other people.
16:19You absolutely are.
16:21You absolutely will.
16:21Yes.
16:24I also will say the, what I love about it is I get to see the side of you that I will
16:31say that I probably didn't know much about, like your sense of humor and that you're funny.
16:36I think you stole the, the other documentary from David.
16:40Oh, stop.
16:41It's the, you know what scene I'm talking about, Rolls Royce.
16:44I do.
16:44That's the funniest scene in the whole thing, and I go, oh my God, I have to show it again.
16:49I'm sorry.
16:50Let's just show that, please.
16:51We're very working, working class.
16:54Be honest.
16:55I, I am being honest.
16:57Be honest.
16:58I am being honest.
16:59What car did your dad drive you to school in?
17:01So, my dad, my dad, well, it's not a simple answer because, what car, what did you get
17:09your dad to drive you to school in?
17:10It depends.
17:11No, no, no, no, no.
17:12Okay, in the 80s, my dad had a Rolls Royce.
17:15That's so funny.
17:18That's so funny, but, because you're saying you did come from a working class family.
17:26Yes.
17:26But that's so funny.
17:28What car did your dad drive?
17:30Like, well, there's a different story.
17:32It felt like you were trying to tell a different story.
17:34I thought I'd give you the camera time now.
17:36Okay.
17:37What were you trying to say?
17:38So, my dad, my dad was a real entrepreneur.
17:41You know, he really inspired me, and he came from nothing.
17:45And he used to drive a van, because he had an electrical business.
17:49And he would drive us to school in the van, and we were happy.
17:52But then, when he did very well in the 80s, the first thing he did was go and buy himself
17:57a Rolls Royce.
17:58And we were devastated.
18:00Like, kids just want to fit in, right?
18:02Yeah, you don't want to stick out.
18:03We used to beg him.
18:03We used to beg him.
18:04We were like, please take us in the van.
18:06We don't want to go in the Rolls Royce.
18:08So, we were keeping it real, Jimmy.
18:10Yeah, okay, yeah.
18:10You were keeping it real.
18:12That is just, that's my favorite scene.
18:14It's almost untoppable, but you did it.
18:16You topped it with your documentary.
18:18I want to show a clip.
18:19Here's the one and only, Victoria Beckham.
18:21Take a look.
18:23We were so happy in America.
18:28The kids were little.
18:29We found great schools for the children.
18:33And I just decided it was time to really focus on what I want as well.
18:41I think she had an epiphany.
18:44She started trying to define for herself who she wanted to be and what she could do and
18:50what was possible.
18:51I realized it's okay to want more for yourself.
18:57I wanted to really have this creative outlet.
19:01I wanted to work in fashion.
19:04Yeah, and you did it.
19:06You crushed it.
19:08Congratulations on everything.
19:09And please come back.
19:11Victoria Beckham, everybody.
19:12The documentary, Victoria Beckham, is streaming now on Netflix.
19:16More tonight's show after the break.
19:18Stick around.
19:24There are now world leaders fighting over Emily in Paris.
19:27Oh, yeah.
19:27Rome is upset they want Emily in Rome.
19:30This is true.
19:31Emmanuel Macron is mad.
19:33He wants Emily back in Paris.
19:35It's a bit of a European love triangle.
19:37Our next guest is a talented actress who you know from the series Emily in Paris.
19:52Season 5 premieres December 18th on Netflix.
20:00Please welcome Lily Collins.
20:02Thank you so much to see you again.
20:26I'm so happy to be back, especially during the holidays.
20:28During the holidays.
20:29And you now have a baby girl.
20:31Congratulations.
20:32That makes the holidays so much better.
20:35So much better.
20:36It's her first Christmas.
20:37She's ten and a half months.
20:39Oh, my gosh.
20:39I don't know if she knows what's happening, but she knows it's a festive season.
20:42It's the greatest thing.
20:44And how is everything?
20:45What is she doing?
20:46What is she listening to?
20:47What is she listening?
20:48Well.
20:49I always like to know that.
20:50Are you playing classical or are you playing?
20:51In our household, I would say Grandpa P.
20:54Yeah.
20:55Kind of takes my dad.
20:57We play him every morning.
20:58You have to play Phil Collins.
20:59Come on.
21:00That's the greatest.
21:01Every morning?
21:02Every morning.
21:03It's, you know, Invisible Touch, In the Air Tonight.
21:06And the only person to rival Grandpa P, though, is Casper Baby Pants.
21:11And I would say that he is highly underrated.
21:14And if you don't know who he is, Run Baby Run and Chicken in the Cornbread are top hits.
21:20I'm so sorry.
21:21I missed out on this.
21:21What is his name?
21:22Casper Baby Pants.
21:23Okay.
21:24Yes.
21:25And Chris Bello is his real name.
21:27And he was the lead singer of Presidents of the United States of America.
21:31Oh, yeah.
21:31Oh, I know that.
21:31Yes.
21:32Peaches, you know.
21:33Yeah, of course.
21:33But he's retired Casper Baby Pants since then.
21:35But I really don't know why because he is...
21:37Casper Baby Pants.
21:38Yeah, you guys, I'm telling you, Charlie and I listen to him on road trips when Tobey's
21:42not even around.
21:43No, I'm like, we are...
21:45You're obsessed?
21:45We're obsessed.
21:46You're true fans?
21:47We're true fans.
21:47And what is...
21:48And what else is the baby into?
21:50Oh, you know, she's got a very strong grip.
21:53She is very into tennis.
21:56Really?
21:56Yeah.
21:57At 10 months?
21:58At 10 months.
21:59I'm telling you, I can see it.
22:01This summer when we were filming Emily in Paris, we weirdly timed out with all the tennis
22:06tournaments.
22:06So when we were in Rome, we went to the tournament there.
22:08Then we went to the epic five-hour Center Alcaraz match at Roland Garros, which was incredible.
22:14You were at that?
22:15Yes.
22:15Massive.
22:16I just kept going.
22:17I was like, we can't leave now.
22:18We've got to, like, see this through.
22:19It was amazing.
22:20It was five hours, right?
22:21It was five hours.
22:22Oh, my goodness.
22:22Yeah.
22:22We didn't want to leave to, like, pee or do anything because it was just very exciting.
22:26You didn't want to miss anything.
22:26You didn't want to miss anything.
22:27So she's into it.
22:28And she's into it.
22:28And we got her a tennis racket at Wimbledon.
22:31They have, like, a mini tennis racket.
22:33And she just grips that thing.
22:34She grips it really hard.
22:36Yeah.
22:36And I'm very into tennis.
22:38However, my husband is really into pickleball.
22:41And he's a pickler.
22:43And there is a rivalry in our household.
22:46This is tough for the baby.
22:47Okay.
22:48This is tough to make a decision.
22:49We've got the tennis racket.
22:50And we have the pickleball.
22:51This is tough to make a decision.
22:52This is...
22:52I know.
22:54It's hard.
22:55But I swear she swings more to the racket.
22:58To the tennis.
22:59She wants to tell.
23:00Yeah.
23:00Well, next time, when she's winning, bring her back to the show.
23:02I will bring her back.
23:03Last time we were here, we talked about your love of these Spice Girls, weirdly enough.
23:07Isn't that...
23:08It is.
23:09Yes.
23:09It's a very deep, very deep love.
23:11You said that you were in your posh era.
23:14Yeah.
23:14Yeah.
23:14Do you still feel that way?
23:16Well, I hope I never leave my posh era.
23:18Yes.
23:18But I don't...
23:19I mean, I hope.
23:21I mean, we have a picture of you.
23:24This is you.
23:26Yes.
23:26This was...
23:27This is Victoria.
23:29Yeah.
23:30Um, yeah.
23:31I mean, she will always do it better.
23:34But I will say that when I was on set this season, I definitely was inspired with the cut.
23:42Have you ever met Victoria Beckham?
23:44No.
23:46I've never met her.
23:47Is she still backstage?
23:49Can we see if she's still here?
23:51Victoria?
23:52Lady Beckham?
23:53Oh, my God.
23:54Yes.
23:57Wow.
23:58Wow.
23:59Wow.
24:02Wow.
24:04That's cool.
24:05Oh, my God.
24:07That's cool.
24:08Come on.
24:10That just happened.
24:12I...
24:12This is...
24:12This is...
24:13I...
24:14I...
24:14This is...
24:15Yeah.
24:16That just happened.
24:18This just happened.
24:18That just happened.
24:19Oh, my God.
24:20Uh, uh, Victoria, do you remember this iconic, uh, hairstyle?
24:25I do.
24:25I do.
24:26But yours is a lot shinier and a lot sharper than mine was.
24:30No, no, no.
24:31I...
24:31Well, thank you.
24:32But I...
24:32I...
24:33No, I could never outshine the...
24:35No.
24:35Victoria, did you get posh from...
24:37From...
24:38From the Rolls Royce or the...
24:40The van?
24:42Where did you get the nickname posh?
24:44I've always wanted to know that, too.
24:45Well, I was given that nickname.
24:47Um, because I used to like nice clothes and nice restaurants.
24:52In actual fact, it really helped me out because in the Spice Girls, the other girls didn't
24:57like designer clothes.
24:58So when we would do videos or go on stage, they were happy to just wear all the free stuff.
25:03And I got all the budget.
25:04Oh, my God.
25:05That's smart.
25:06That's so...
25:06I like how you think.
25:07That's genius, by the way.
25:09And that's how you get them posh.
25:11I love this.
25:12Oh, my God.
25:12That's really smart.
25:15That's, like, really smart.
25:16Emily in Paris comes out next week.
25:19Last season, it was a top 10 Netflix show in 93 countries.
25:23No spoilers, but Emily actually doesn't start the season in Paris.
25:27Oh.
25:28Sorry, spoiler alert, but if you're a fan, you know that she wasn't.
25:32But there are now world leaders fighting over Emily in Paris.
25:35Oh, yeah.
25:35Rome is upset they want Emily in Rome.
25:38And France...
25:40This is true.
25:41Emmanuel Macron is mad.
25:43He wants Emily back in Paris.
25:44It's a bit of a European love triangle.
25:47And then, you know, the prime minister of Greece recently said that his wife's favorite show
25:52is Emily in Paris.
25:53And after a long day at the office, his favorite thing to do is go home and watch it with her.
25:57Really?
25:57And I was like, what?
25:58A long, hard day at the office?
26:00You mean, like, running Greece?
26:01And then you go home and you watch Emily in Paris?
26:04Yeah.
26:04I was like, I never saw this coming.
26:07Let's bring Emily back to America and let's make this real.
26:12I want to show everyone a clip.
26:14Here's Lily Collins in Emily in Paris.
26:16Take a look.
26:18Where's my office?
26:19You're working here now?
26:21Yes.
26:22Jane is consulting for us.
26:24Senior executive of brand relationships.
26:27And as promised, I have landed to you a meeting with the head of marketing at Fendi.
26:32That's incredible.
26:33For a fee.
26:34We're meeting with Fendi?
26:35That's huge.
26:36Who said anything about you?
26:39Wait, you can't meet with Fendi's head of marketing without the head of your office.
26:42You're all the head of the office.
26:44That's still under consideration.
26:49Grazie, tesoro.
26:57Lily Collins, Victoria Beckham, everybody.
26:59Season 5 of Emily in Paris is streaming December 18th on Netflix.
27:05We'll be right back with more Tonight Show, everybody.
27:07Come on back.
27:08Our next guest is a four-time Grand Slam singles champion
27:30and the number one ranked women's tennis player in the world.
27:34Please welcome Irina Sabalenka.
27:49Come on.
27:50That's how you do it right there.
27:52Oh, my God.
27:53Irina, welcome back to the show.
27:55You did me a favor last time after you won the U.S. Open.
27:58You came out in my monologue and surprised everybody.
28:01So thank you for coming back.
28:02Thank you for having me.
28:03That was the fun part of winning the U.S. Open.
28:05Oh, please.
28:06Yeah.
28:07And last night you were at an exhibition in Madison Square Garden
28:10where you beat Naomi in an exhibition.
28:14Do you just love New York?
28:15Is that the thing?
28:16I absolutely love New York.
28:18I love the crowd playing in front of everybody.
28:20Yes!
28:21Being back in New York, there was so much fun.
28:27Here's you playing at MSG last night.
28:30What does it feel like to play Madison Square Garden?
28:32That's insane.
28:33Incredible.
28:34Knowing how many artists performed there,
28:36how many athletes played there, like big names,
28:39and just being in line with those people, it's incredible.
28:42I will definitely remember that moment for the rest of my life.
28:45That was my first time, by the way.
28:46It was?
28:47Yeah, that was, that was, oh my God, that was an experience.
28:50It's intense, right?
28:51It's fun.
28:51It's fun.
28:52I was going to, I watch you and I'm just in awe
28:54because you're one of the greatest athletes.
28:56You're just phenomenal to watch.
28:58And sometimes I was going to ask you,
29:00if you're in a massive lead, if you're in a big lead
29:03and you're like, okay, this is a blowout kind of,
29:05does your brain ever wander
29:06and you start thinking about other things besides tennis?
29:09You know what?
29:09It's so funny actually, guys,
29:11but so many times I start thinking about,
29:14did my team, made a reservation
29:16in my favorite place
29:17and I was like, I'm...
29:18Really?
29:19Yes, and I start thinking like about the order,
29:21what I'm going to order
29:22and then I have to bring myself back every time.
29:25I'm like, come on, Irina, you're still on the court.
29:26You're still like...
29:26Really?
29:27You're still, you're, you're, the, the job is not finished yet.
29:30Yes, you have to finish the job, yeah.
29:32And yeah, like so many times,
29:34like different stuff is getting in your head.
29:36You're so funny, did we make reservations?
29:39I was like, I...
29:40Because for me, it's important.
29:42Of course, it's important.
29:43Like the team has to be good.
29:43You have to be right, yes, of course.
29:45You're a champ.
29:46You got to make sure it's right.
29:48I also say, you're a really great follow on socials
29:53and your team does a great job, you and your team.
29:55You post on Instagram and you just posted something
29:58that I want to show everyone.
29:59You put your phone on the baseline of the court
30:02and then return to serve, all right?
30:04And look at this accuracy.
30:06This is real.
30:06Watch this.
30:12That's...
30:13Irina, that's crazy.
30:17That was my moment.
30:18How many, how many takes did it take for you to do that?
30:21Guys, that's so fun, but it was the first take.
30:25You know, it was so good, so next time...
30:28It was so good, so next time,
30:31I will definitely bet something, you know?
30:33Like, I will make sure that my team
30:35does some silly stuff after that
30:36because it was so good.
30:37Oh, my...
30:38I mean, did everyone freak out
30:39and just jump up and down and go, no?
30:40Everyone was shocked,
30:41and the crazy thing that we actually record that,
30:44that was the best.
30:46It's like my highest moment of my career.
30:47Oh, please.
30:50You've also become known for kind of...
30:53You're grunting on the court, let's just say.
30:55Oh, that's how you saw it?
30:56Well, I mean, when...
30:57That has nothing to do with grunting,
30:59but it's okay.
31:01In my house, it is.
31:04The, uh...
31:05You, uh...
31:07But we heard that during the clip.
31:10Do you know that you're making that noise in the moment?
31:12I have zero control over it.
31:15You know, one time,
31:16we played an exhibition with Novak.
31:18Yeah.
31:19And they put a mic on me,
31:20and I realized that I'm grunting,
31:22and I'm like, oh, my God,
31:23it was so bad for people.
31:24I'm like, we need to offer earplugs to them, you know?
31:27It was like...
31:27I was like, I don't want to annoy people.
31:29I wanted to take off the mic,
31:30but I think, I think they shut the sound on my mic
31:33when I was hitting the ball.
31:34No.
31:35So it was, I mean, come on, you know?
31:36But does it mean anything to you?
31:38Does that mean, like, you're more focused,
31:40or are you thinking about reservations?
31:41What are you thinking about
31:42when you are making that noise?
31:44You're like, I want to win.
31:45Is that what it means?
31:46I mean, that's the only...
31:47I mean, almost the only thing in my head
31:48when I'm playing the match
31:49aside of making the reservation.
31:52But I don't know.
31:53I have zero control over it.
31:55Like, unfortunately, for so many people.
31:57Well, it makes you win.
31:59Here are you holding the 24 and 25
32:01U.S. Open Women's Singles Champions trophies.
32:07You have a big battle of the sexes match
32:11coming up later this month
32:13against Nick Kyrgios.
32:15Tell me about this.
32:17Why did you want to bring this back?
32:19I mean, I like to challenge myself
32:21and playing against the male athlete,
32:23I mean, against Nick.
32:25It's a big challenge, and I like it.
32:27I like to accept it.
32:28And also, I think we're kind of like
32:30bringing tennis to the next level
32:31because the visibility that it got already,
32:34it's incredible.
32:35And a lot of big people coming to watch us.
32:38But I remember the other battle of the sexes
32:40was like Billie Jean King.
32:41Yeah, it's a historical moment.
32:42But I think we're doing it for fun reasons
32:46to help tennis grow.
32:48And it's already got a lot of attention.
32:50And it's just going to be fun.
32:51It's going to be a great high-level match for sure.
32:54And I'm going to kick his ass.
32:55That's 100%.
32:56Got it.
32:59Come on!
33:01You don't understand.
33:03Really?
33:03You're going to go for it?
33:04You don't understand how stressed he is
33:06because for him, it's a lose-lose.
33:08For me, it's the win-win, right, situation?
33:10It is.
33:12So I'm so excited.
33:14And it's just going to bring a lot of attention.
33:17You're going to cross it.
33:17I feel like it's going to help tennis to grow, you know?
33:19Yeah, everyone will be watching.
33:21I saw something online, by the way,
33:23I thought was interesting that,
33:25I don't know if you still do this,
33:26but there was a thing where you would sign
33:29your coach Jason's head, his bald head,
33:32with your signature,
33:34and that would bring you good luck.
33:36Is this true?
33:37And how did this start?
33:39I know.
33:39I mean, people know how silly our team is,
33:43and sometimes we just like to do silly things.
33:45Yeah.
33:46And then he was just saying, like,
33:47oh, sign my head, and I'm like,
33:48I will do that.
33:49I found the Sharpie.
33:51I did sign it,
33:52and it brought a good luck.
33:53I won the tournament.
33:54And it's actually been a while since I've done that.
33:57Oh.
33:57I'm not, I mean, I'm not,
34:00I don't have a beautiful, bald head like he does, but.
34:04It's not enough space, actually.
34:06My signature is quite big, so.
34:09You want to sign my forehead?
34:11I could do that.
34:15But I cannot.
34:16All that happens is Sharpie,
34:17and this is not going to come off.
34:19But I will let him be.
34:20I cannot be that routine,
34:22so we're going to leave alone your forehead.
34:24You could do my forehead.
34:27It's you.
34:29It's me.
34:30No, it's you.
34:31Go for it.
34:32I want you to win.
34:33I'm going to make it look fancy.
34:35You're going to look so.
34:36I mean, this is real,
34:37but I don't know how you,
34:38how do you get Sharpie off my face?
34:39No worries.
34:40You're going to take it off.
34:40What do you mean, no worries?
34:41Yeah, it's not your forehead.
34:43It's not your forehead.
34:44I'll help you out,
34:45but, you know,
34:46Jason done it so many times,
34:48so I'm pretty sure you can do it.
34:49I'm going to, I'm going to, no,
34:51I'm going to do it like,
34:52I'm going to make it fancy, guys, okay?
34:54But you might,
34:55but you might have to,
34:58okay.
35:02Can I touch it?
35:13I'm going to get it.
35:16I'm going to get this.
35:19You're going to take it.
35:20I'm really there.
35:21Sound of light to everybody.
35:22You can catch her in it
35:24in the Battle of the Sessions
35:26live on the Tennis Channel
35:28December 28th.
35:29We'll be right back
35:30with a performance from Juice.
35:32Stick around.
35:33Oh, you're in trouble.
35:36Get!
35:36performing It Takes Two
35:55from his new album,
35:57Dilworth.
35:57Give it up for Juice!
35:59I fear the end is getting close.
36:14Can you hold me?
36:18Time's ticking, but it's moving slow.
36:22Sick of floating.
36:24There's someone who said,
36:27I don't remember.
36:28I'll blow up the last night,
36:31rally for the better.
36:33And I'm sorry,
36:36but I'm missing hope.
36:39But you know me.
36:41I'm missing hope.
36:42I'm missing hope.
36:43If it takes two to live,
36:45won't you let me die?
36:51I'll hang and make a thread
36:54from your power line.
36:58If I've got a day,
37:00I'll find you in another way.
37:02Your love said,
37:03I'm out of play.
37:04Something's right,
37:05just never change.
37:07If it takes two to live,
37:12and all I got is dead,
37:15is when you let me die?
37:20Yeah.
37:21This is the last time.
37:22Don't call me on
37:23for the break line.
37:24Do you wanna fuck?
37:25I've got snake eyes,
37:26blood lips,
37:27back in the last bite.
37:29And I
37:30fear the end is getting close.
37:35Can you hold me?
37:43I fear the end is getting close.
37:51If it takes two to live,
37:54won't you let me die?
37:57I'm hanging back and free from your power line.
38:07If I die a day,
38:09I'll find you in another way.
38:11You're lost in a hard place.
38:13This man has never changed.
38:16If it takes two to live,
38:18and all I got is dead,
38:22there.
38:23I'm surviving.
