Singer-songwriter Wee Meng Chee, better known as Namewee, has had his police bail extended for the third time in connection with the death of Taiwanese influencer Iris Hsieh, who was found dead in a Kuala Lumpur hotel room on Oct 22.

00:13Dangwangi OCPD Assistant Commissioner Sazali Adam confirmed that the bail, which was due
00:19to expire on Wednesday, has been extended until January 11, next year.
00:24Name Wee arrived at the Dangwangi District Police Headquarters at 3.45pm on Tuesday for
00:30the extension process and left nearly two hours later.
00:34The rapper was previously detained after being identified as the last person seen with Xie,
00:3931, in a hotel room where she was found dead at about 1.40pm on October 22.
00:47He was later arrested over alleged drug possession and use but was released after pleading not
00:52guilty to drug-related charges at the Jalan Duta court on October 24.
