00:00Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Commissioner Datuk Fadil Marsus said on Wednesday that police are
00:06awaiting further instructions from the Deputy Public Prosecutor's Office
00:10regarding the murder investigation involving local rapper Wee Mengchi, better known as
00:17Naimui. The rapper's second remand period is set to end on Thursday. Police had earlier
00:22reclassified the death of Taiwanese influencer Xie Yunxi as murder after initially treating it
00:29as a sudden death. Investigations showed that Naimui was the last person seen with the 31-year-old
00:35victim in a hotel room in Kuala Lumpur around 1.40pm on October 22nd. He was later arrested
00:43for alleged drug possession and use but was released after pleading not guilty to the charges
00:48at the Jalandhuta Court on October 24th.
