00:00The family of the late pathology specialist Dr Tay Tian Ya, who died in Lahad Datu Sabah,
00:08held their second press conference on Wednesday.
00:11They said they had discussed the growing public response following their first press conference
00:15last week on the specialist's suicide case.
00:19They said they have no intention of using the case for political leverage.
00:22I just want the government to give us an explanation for the bullying, so we can investigate it
00:32clearly.
00:33We can accept what has happened.
00:39We actually noticed that, so we have the Kota Marakas MP, so YB, Mr Ku Pei Tiong, who
00:46actually commented on this investigation.
00:51We believe that the MOH, Dr Sri Jagiraphy, will take action and form a special task force
01:00to investigate the circumstances leading to my sister's death.
01:06Other than that, we would like to make it clear that this is just a normal case of investigation,
01:12so we do not want to get involved into any sort of political or even for the purpose
01:17of political as well.
01:20Last week, the health ministry said it had set up a task force to investigate allegations
01:25of heavy workload and mistreatment for Dr Tay before her death.
01:30The ministry said the task force will commence work on Thursday and denied any delay in probing
01:35the case.
01:37Dr Tay worked at the Lahad Datu Hospital as the head of the chemical pathology unit and
01:42she was found dead in her rented home on August 29th.
01:48The family said they hope that the task force will include their lawyer to help establish
01:52the facts.
