00:00She was trying to make me look bad.
00:02No, I was trying to make you look better.
00:04Sometimes it does get awkward because Miss Kaylee gets, like, mad at Miss Glow.
00:08If her foot is broken or something.
00:10I didn't have a broken foot for a month.
00:11Good for you.
00:12Gina, this week, you're learning Audrey solo like an understudy.
00:16Entry number 72, the prayer.
00:18That's Gina.
00:18I think Gina is an amazing lyrical dancer, but she lost it in her performance.
00:23It hurts pretty bad.
00:25Smiley, I'm not going to have you dance this week and risk further injury.
00:29Audrey, I'm a little concerned that you're about to go into high school.
00:32With high school, we hit this fork in the road.
00:34And I've seen so many kids go by the wayside.
00:36It feels like it's a fall for me.
00:38My husband and I separated.
00:40She doesn't have her dad right now.
00:42I just want my mom to feel the same love that she gives out into the world.
00:47You're going to be doing a beautiful, graceful lyrical dance called the prayer.
00:52It's about exploring Audrey's search for faith.
00:54And that means first was entry number 74, the prayer.
00:58I'm so proud of her.
01:00I just hope that she continues to push through.
01:12Wait, Audrey.
01:14Ooh, I like it.
01:15I like it.
01:16Yeah.
01:16Good morning.
01:17Good morning.
01:18Good morning.
01:19Good morning.
01:20Ha ha.
01:22That's been sad yesterday.
01:24Because since I don't wear my engagement ring anymore, I'm just wearing a bunch of statement
01:28rings.
01:29I just bought a bunch of stuff.
01:30That's like one of my fears, too.
01:32I'm like, how weird would it be to not have my ring?
01:35Hey, everyone.
01:36We ready?
01:37Let's go.
01:38Let's roll.
01:38I think Tammy has been struggling a lot with not just Audrey, but just everything that
01:44has come along with the divorce.
01:46I know that things were rough over the weekend, but I think that being here is the best place
01:51for her.
01:51We beat Studio L!
01:56You guys danced so well.
01:59We were up against way tougher competition.
02:02We had a studio there specifically who came to beat us, and you were flawless, but we know
02:11what comes next.
02:13So on the bottom row, Smiley.
02:19Simply put, you didn't dance.
02:21So there's nothing really to judge you on.
02:23That's why you're there.
02:24I did get a call from the doctor this morning.
02:26He said that it's not possible for it to hurt more or get injured more, so he said I can't
02:30dance on it.
02:31He said nothing too abrupt.
02:32Obviously, no jump splits.
02:34So it's on you, but I want you to be honest with me and honest with yourself, because it's
02:38not worth one dance for you to make it worse.
02:42Yeah.
02:42Okay?
02:43Next on the bottom row.
02:49Ashlyn.
02:50What?
02:50Um, Ashlyn, the reason you're there is because your turns were off.
02:55You put your heel down on the pirouette, and then it made you wobbly, so it drew my attention.
03:01Next.
03:06Bellatrix.
03:07You're probably one of the most technically sound dancers on this team, but I also want
03:14to be able to trust you with the lead of a dance, and right now, I can't.
03:18Last on the bottom row.
03:22Lily.
03:23Lily, you wanted a solo bad, all you talked about, and you went out there and forgot the
03:27choreography.
03:27And on the second row, Gina, Gina, you worked harder than I've seen you work in a very long
03:38time, but you need to be able to connect with the dance emotionally.
03:42I don't see the improvement in you that I've seen in other people.
03:47Next.
03:51Layla.
03:52I think you're killing it this year.
03:54I want to see you back on top of that pyramid.
03:57And last on the second row.
03:59Nia, you were spectacular in the group dance.
04:05You led that group to that victory.
04:07And my dear, you were feeling yourself in all those diamonds, right?
04:12And on the top row.
04:16Audrey.
04:19It was the best I've seen you dance, probably since you were maybe five or six years old.
04:25Like, you were totally immersed in that story.
04:29And you could tell that it meant something super personal to you.
04:33Last week, Audrey danced at an emotional level that I have never seen before.
04:38And I think it really inspired the girls.
04:41Which is good, because the girls seem to really emotionally connect to the story this week to
04:46even have a chance of winning.
04:47Well, I have a plan for that this week.
04:49And I think it's really going to help everyone get along and really bond.
04:53Okay, no fighting.
04:55Right, me, no fighting.
04:57Yes, yes.
04:58I want everyone on this team to have those breakout moments.
05:03So this week, our group dance is going to be about the elderly.
05:07And how great it would feel for them to be in their young bodies again.
05:10And I want you to use your grandparents as inspiration.
05:13Because we saw last week with Audrey what a very personal story can do to elevate our performance.
05:20I want you to go talk to your moms about your grandparents.
05:22And then I want you to come back and share a story that's meaningful to you.
05:26The three best storytellers will be the three leads of the dance.
05:29You all have ten minutes starting now.
05:33Go.
05:35Ten minutes.
05:37Mama America.
05:38Ding, ding.
05:38Uh-huh.
05:39So I get emotional because, like, I always say she's my precious gem.
05:44We could talk about grandpapa because his life is a story of hard work and perseverance.
05:52I want it to be emotional.
05:53If it's funny, I'm not going to get the lead.
05:55I want to talk about my grandpa.
05:58Okay.
05:58I want the kids to have a really personal connection to this story because all of us have history
06:04within our family that it could be good or bad, but it's there and it's ours.
06:09And I want them to be able to find that and connect to it.
06:12My dad was born in the South in the early 30s.
06:16And he was racist.
06:17And he didn't approve of my relationship with Kaylee's father.
06:21He didn't speak to me for eight years because of it.
06:23He did come around, but he didn't meet Kaylee until she was three.
06:27And he passed about eight months after he met her.
06:31I can't blame him for the way he was raised.
06:34But at the same time, I saw things differently and I made my own opinions and choices in life.
06:43Okay.
06:43How we doing?
06:44Good?
06:45Ashlyn, you get to go first.
06:48Come on.
06:48Impress me.
06:50I'm going to try not to cry because I don't want to be called a crybaby anymore.
06:53But I'm going to be talking about my grandpapa.
06:55When he was 19, he had to go to war.
06:58There was, like, a big explosion.
07:01Since it was very loud, it blew out his ear drums.
07:04So that's why he's hearing it.
07:06Sometimes I'll talk to him and be like, he won't hear me.
07:10And I remember when I was younger, like, I would go up to him and be like, can you hear me?
07:15This is why Glow is such a good teacher.
07:22She's really motivating the girls to personally connect with this dance.
07:26And this is why we put up with all the crap for days like today.
07:30This memory takes back to when I was a music man.
07:33There was this guy who was sitting in the back of, like, a subway car.
07:38And he was asleep.
07:39So my grandma just started putting things in front of him.
07:41Like extra hand warmers and extra hats and gloves.
07:44She does that with everyone.
07:45She always tries to make it known to no matter who it is that you're loved by everyone.
07:50And if you have nothing, like, you still have something.
07:52Little tricks.
08:03My great-grandma, her name is America.
08:06And that means America in English.
08:09And so my mom's mom, which is my grandma, she moved to America.
08:14And my mom stayed with my great-grandma in Peru.
08:18My mom told me that, like, when she was little, her grandma told her that she wouldn't stop crying for her mom because she was in the U.S.
08:25And, like, she couldn't see her.
08:27And so my great-grandma, she got a passport for my mom to see her mom.
08:32They met in Florida.
08:33And she recently came to one of my competitions.
08:36I was really happy to see her because it was one of her first times she got to see me, like, live dancing.
08:41That's awesome.
08:41Yeah, that's my story.
08:45You know, my grandma brought me so I could have a better life, right?
08:48An immigrant, Peruvian, Latina.
08:50And now seeing Bellatrix, who's able to hopefully have this dream, something that she wants, that's what you want as a parent.
08:57You want your kids to be happy.
08:58This is about my grandpa.
09:02He's an art teacher, and my favorite part to do with him was draw.
09:08And the last time I went to his house, he was really sick, and he couldn't draw.
09:16He had cancer, and on his way to shipping hospitals, he passed away in the car.
09:23And I never got to say goodbye to him or draw with him, and it was just so sad because I was looking forward to speaking with him.
09:33I've never seen Layla connect to a story this deeply before, and I love that my dad is kind of a part of that.
09:43Everybody sees her as being silly, and is Layla going to be silly?
09:47Is she going to be serious?
09:48What's Layla going to do?
09:49Well, she has shown everybody that she can be serious when she needs to, and when she's serious, she's good at it.
09:56Don't count her out.
09:57Hey, Gina, you're up.
10:02My person is my great-grandmother.
10:06She's, like, the reason why I, like, started dancing, because I used to always go over to her house, and, like, whenever she, like, pawned music, I would just, like, dance with my brother.
10:18And then so, um, what makes me, like, the saddest is that she never, ever got to see me dance.
10:23This is the exact kind of emotion that I wanted to get out of these girls.
10:34Yes, I want these girls to perform the best they can for Project X, but in order to have a career as a real working dancer, they have to be able to make the audience feel something, just like they did today.
10:46First of all, I appreciate each of you telling me your story.
10:49All of them are powerful, and I think that Mia hasn't stopped crying in the last half hour.
10:55Kaylee will be choreographing the group dance this week.
10:58I'm having Kaylee choreograph the group this week because the style is just much more in her wheelhouse.
11:03This is not just about dance steps.
11:05It's storytelling, and I know that she's good at that.
11:08I'm excited to share some of your stories through the dance.
11:11I don't know who to choose for the leads because the girls who are the best storytellers aren't necessarily the best dancers.
11:23Yeah, and the strongest dancer on the team who should be your best leader had the worst storytelling out of all of them.
11:30Audrey?
11:30Mm-hmm.
11:31It was, I assure you, way harder than I ever thought it was going to be, but we have three leads this week, and so the three leads are...
11:45Kaylee does not look happy.
11:47I'm so sorry you feel that way.
11:48I don't know what to tell you.
11:49I really don't know what to tell you.
11:50Then I can't win.
11:51Then I can't win.
11:53Listen!
11:53And now they're fighting.
11:54I'm done with the conversation.
11:56Listen.
11:57Can you and my mom talk to me?
11:59What happened?
12:00What?
12:00It was way harder than I ever thought it was going to be.
12:13The three leads are Gina, Layla, and Bellatrix.
12:20I'm looking for a leader and a breakthrough performance.
12:23I think that the three of you have something really powerful to pull from, and we will be doing duos.
12:29The first duo is going to Lily and Mia, and you will be competing against Ashlyn and Bellatrix.
12:44Smiley, I'm not going to push you to do too much, but you will be in the group because we plan to have all eight dancers in the group this week.
12:56However, Smiley, Smiley, just in case you can't dance, I'm bringing in Carlin.
13:02You all know Carlin, right?
13:03She's a student here.
13:05I coincidentally went to high school with Carlin's father.
13:08Yeah, we love Carlin.
13:10She's a really smart, quick, talented little girl, and Carlin will learn the dance.
13:16I have to cover all my bases, Smiley, okay?
13:18So I need to have a plan B in case we need it.
13:22You guys can go to Mom's and then everyone out, and then we will pick up with group rehearsal.
13:27Good job, everyone.
13:29Oh, you guys, she's here.
13:33Hi.
13:34Last night, Glow called me and said, well, can you clear your schedule because we need you?
13:39So here we are.
13:41We've actually known Glow forever, it feels like.
13:44We actually started with Studio Blue and then left and went to another studio and then came back when Project X opened.
13:53Back around again.
13:54Back around again, yep.
13:56All right, so Carlin, you're on standby.
14:00I'm having you learn the choreography just in case Smiley can't dance.
14:04You're going to be dressed as old people.
14:05You're going to either have gray spray or gray wigs.
14:08Everyone will have old makeup, but the three leads will have the prosthetics.
14:12This is going to be fun.
14:13Okay, we're going to start with a group section, so we're all going to be doing kind of the same thing,
14:17but there's going to be two different parts.
14:18At this point, everybody is kind of feeling young again, yeah?
14:21Because imagine, like, I think it's probably painful to be, like, 90 years old, right?
14:25So imagine, like, yeah, having to be like that for forever, and then you're like,
14:28oh my God, I can sit up straight again.
14:30And we go one, two, down, up, chasse, up, step, land to the back, slide parallel, arms go out,
14:41pulling it straight in.
14:42Yes, got it?
14:44Okay.
14:45Are you ready?
14:48Seven and a go.
14:50Go and up.
14:52And chasse, five, up, six, seven, out, in.
14:55Guys, out.
14:57I don't want us to go out.
14:59Okay?
15:00Down, out, in.
15:02I am not at all seeing even close to the amount of passion we had earlier when we were talking.
15:08The only person that I kind of believed was Gina, who usually is the one that isn't performing,
15:12and right now she's outperforming every single one of you.
15:14I didn't see that from any other person in this room.
15:18Not even Audrey the winner last week, who did the most performance I've ever seen in my life.
15:22And I can't bring even a little bit of that into the room right now.
15:26It almost feels like I can't believe how we were acting before because it doesn't seem like we feel it now.
15:32If we really, truly felt that way, I think we'd be dancing much bigger than we did.
15:36So don't make me think that you were just saying that to get a lead part, okay?
15:39Get some water if you need some.
15:41This is my first time choreographing a routine this season,
15:44and I'm really disappointed in Audrey that she could give a performance like she did last week,
15:49and then this is what she brings today.
15:50Like, that's not acceptable.
15:52Audrey has to understand that she can't always be the lead.
15:55I need to spread out these lead roles so that the other girls can have an opportunity to show me
16:00that they have this star potential that I know they have.
16:03And they're not going to do that if Audrey's always the lead.
16:10This one is broken.
16:13Lily, Mia, let's go.
16:17This dance, it's a really serious subject matter.
16:21Oh.
16:22And it's dividing our country.
16:24It's ending relationships.
16:27It's tearing families apart because of how serious it is.
16:32You think you can handle telling that story?
16:34Audrey, your dance is about tennis versus pickleball.
16:41Oh, God.
16:44I don't really get the same.
16:47Lily, you are the tennis player.
16:49And Mia, you're all about pickleball.
16:52Yes?
16:52When you do duos, it's really hard because it's not like you can hide like you're in a group dance,
16:56but it's also not like it's a solo either, where if you mess up, you can just, like, make it up on the spot.
17:01Up!
17:02And brush!
17:03You have to be doing the same thing, otherwise it looks wrong.
17:06I've never done a duo with Mia before, and she's Miss Glow's new favorite,
17:10and I don't want to give Miss Glow any reason for her to think that I'm the weak link.
17:14Turn, turn, out!
17:16Out!
17:18This week is so important for Mia because if she pulls out this one, that will be third win consecutively.
17:25And I think that really proves that, you know, she can bring it.
17:29And this is the first time she has two dances.
17:32Right, exactly.
17:33This will be the true test this week.
17:37That's true.
17:38I know Lisa's trying to do something right now, but I'm really excited for the duo with Mia this week because I'm confident I think they're going to win.
17:46One, two, three, four, five, and six, seven, and eight, and.
17:51I think that they have the technique and the turns, and both of our basements are filled with crowns and trophies.
17:57I don't see the crowns and trophies in Ashlyn's basement or Bellatrix's.
18:00So, the idea behind the duo is that you are a puppet.
18:04And Bellatrix, you are the puppet master, and I need you guys to feed off each other because that's really what this is about.
18:11I'm pumped because me and Bellatrix, like, we've known each other for a long time, and we've danced together before, so we know, like, how each other dance.
18:17Yeah, we, like, we work really well together.
18:20We're besties.
18:20We're besties.
18:22Here we go.
18:22One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
18:25One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
18:27One, two, three, four, six, seven, eight.
18:29One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
18:32They have great chemistry, but they are different dancers.
18:35All right, girls.
18:36Listen, you have very different dances, yes, but you guys both have to tell a story, right?
18:43Otherwise, the dances are going to fall flat.
18:45Mia, I want to see you continue your winning streak.
18:48And if not, you guys better be first, and you better be second.
18:52Yes.
18:53Go out, get some water, see your moms.
18:56Ashlyn and Bellatrix grew up together in the studio, so they've been friends since they were literally babies.
19:01Lily and Mia might have the technique that you can perform because you're being a teacher,
19:06and then Corinne's going to be, like, rehearsing him until, like, three in the morning.
19:09Ashlyn and Bellatrix actually have rock chemistry.
19:15Hi.
19:15Hi.
19:15I remember when Jing started, she used to come in at the middle of the day, too.
19:23Oh, how the roles have changed.
19:24Here we go.
19:25I remember when my mom talked to you.
19:34Kaylee and Bella, can you guys go out?
19:36We're just going to talk to Ms. Carl.
19:38Thanks, guys.
19:39What happened?
19:42Well, I just wanted to let you know that, um, I just think everything that I'm going through in my family, it's gotten really bad.
19:55And I just think I need to stop with the team.
20:03What?
20:04She's leaving this team?
20:07Audrey, what would make things better?
20:09Oh, no.
20:11I am utterly shocked that Audrey wants to quit the team.
20:15Audrey has been having a really difficult week with everything that comes with a separation.
20:21I don't want Audrey to quit, but my main focus will always be Audrey and Audrey's well-being.
20:29And so my goal this week is just to help support her.
20:33You're both going through a rough time, but at the same time, remember how you felt last week?
20:39Like, you were beaming ear to ear.
20:41You were so happy.
20:43I understand that you're struggling right now, but I also know you, and I know that you could wake up two days from now and feel completely different.
20:51And then where are you?
20:54I understand that Audrey is extra sensitive right now because of the divorce, but she can't go around failing on things because she's not the center of attention.
21:03This is a pattern with Audrey.
21:05She has to understand that her words mean something.
21:08And in the real world, you can't go around quitting things like she has with me in the past.
21:13Tammy texted saying, hi, we are not going to return due to a family emergency.
21:18I'm unsure about tomorrow or the remainder of the week.
21:22That's strange.
21:23Fool me once, shame on you.
21:25Fool me twice, shame on me.
21:26I don't want you to make a decision based on having a few bad days because once you make that decision, you can't go back.
21:35You're going to still be looking at all your friends doing what they're doing, and it's going to be hard for you, and that might make it worse.
21:41Kaylee has told us about her experience with dance mom, Glow, and how she's felt pressured.
21:51I think Kaylee resents Glow for not letting her quit dance when she wanted to.
21:56So I think this is triggering for Kaylee to watch.
21:58I think you need to stop saying it.
22:00You're going to be missing out on this, and you'll be missing out on this.
22:01I'm not Kaylee.
22:02She is her mother, not you.
22:04I'm talking to you.
22:05I'm Kaylee.
22:06Trust me.
22:06I am talking to her mother.
22:08This is not a good time for you guys to argue.
22:10We're not doing this.
22:11No, I'm not arguing.
22:12I'm being there for your child when she, like, she needs this.
22:15And so is her mother.
22:16I'm not saying she's not, but she needs this.
22:18But for a teacher, we don't tell her to stay.
22:21Did I tell her to stay?
22:22Never once told her to stay.
22:23So don't put words in my mouth, and we're not going to do this because this is the last thing she needs.
22:28All right.
22:28Audrey, let's go.
22:30Let's go home.
22:31I know, like, Audrey's been going through a lot, and, like, it's not just, like, this week, but, like, occasionally I'll see her, like, crying at the studio.
22:37The team is, like, kind of just, like, a little bit.
22:40We're so brave.
22:51We love you, and we're here for everything.
22:55Don't feel bad for how you're feeling, okay?
22:57Don't feel bad.
22:57We're going to be okay, too.
22:58We're all here for you.
22:59We all support you.
23:01You're leaving today?
23:02Right now?
23:03Oh, my gosh.
23:04Why?
23:07Because Audrey's going through a lot of things right now with her and her family and school, and it's just really stressful, especially because she's, like, a teen now, and, like, there's a lot of emotions and stuff like that.
23:17You'll have to stay, Audrey.
23:18We need you.
23:19I need more chips.
23:21Me too.
23:22Audrey, we got to go.
23:23Okay.
23:23Bye, Audrey.
23:24Bye, Audrey.
23:25I don't know what to do.
23:26I have only ever wanted the best for Audrey, and if she wants to quit, I have to support that, but I don't want her to regret this, and it's going to look bad for Project X.
23:37And after everything that happened with Studio Blue, if I show up to competition without my star dancer, who I basically raised, people are going to talk.
23:45This is not good.
23:46We've obviously lost our team leader.
24:06Audrey's extremely talented, and when she dances, I think you guys feed off of that.
24:11So there are three leads in this dance, and perhaps one of you can emerge as the team leader.
24:19This is your opportunity.
24:21Now it's time for everybody to step up.
24:24Now that Audrey isn't here, we're going to need both Smiley and Karlyn to dance.
24:28Thank God I brought Karlyn in as a backup this week.
24:31Let's run it.
24:32So get some chairs.
24:37Seven in.
24:39On the first line, go.
24:41Six in.
24:43Seven in.
24:44Project X needs to win to distract from what's going on behind the scenes.
24:48Smoke and mirrors, literally.
24:50Kaylee's choreographing this dance, but this is my team and my reputation on the line.
24:55So this dance needs to be up to par with all of our other works.
24:58And out, down.
25:01Layla, get in the back.
25:04And, okay, spread out.
25:05Let's just go off to the side.
25:08No.
25:08No.
25:11I don't know.
25:15You don't seem pleased with any of it.
25:17I love working with the girls, but I do not love having my mom in the room when I'm teaching.
25:23Like, every little look she gives me, I overthink and I think that she, like, hates everything I'm doing.
25:29It makes me feel like she doesn't trust me to get there eventually.
25:31I just wish she wasn't in the room at all, but...
25:34What is your face about?
25:36Do you, like, hate it?
25:38I, I mean, yeah.
25:39First of all, I feel like it's really, really, really, really short.
25:42It's not going to score well with the judges.
25:47Okay, well, do what you want to do.
25:48I, I, I don't want to keep doing things and then feel like you don't like it.
25:52Miss Glow and Miss Kaylee aren't having their best moments either.
25:58I kind of do wish that Miss Glow and Miss Kaylee just get together, like, just start bonding.
26:03They could go get their navels done.
26:06Can I make a suggestion?
26:09We need to just do more.
26:11I don't have a problem with Kaylee's choreography.
26:13I think her choreography is beautiful.
26:15It's the fact that I don't see the story.
26:17This dance is just too short.
26:19So, do the suit new.
26:22Now, you face front.
26:24I'm adding almost a minute of choreography to this dance because if we don't add the extra time,
26:30it's not going to make sense and you're just going to see a lot of little kids who look like they're playing dress-up.
26:35So, everybody try that.
26:36You go under and then you go coupe turn and then you PK attitude and then just pull,
26:43let them continue around and everybody run to their spot.
26:46Mia, you're over there now.
26:47You can scooch it in a smidgen.
26:49Kaylee does not look happy.
26:51Yesterday, when Audrey and Tammy put the team, Kaylee said some really hurtful things to Glow, like some low blows.
26:58I think some issues surfaced that they weren't prepared to deal with.
27:02But now our girls are paying the price.
27:04Girls, I want to talk to my mom, so take a break.
27:07We'll see you tonight.
27:08I'm going to be honest.
27:10I'm not in the best mood because of how you're making me feel with your reaction to seeing the dance.
27:14But you're reading a reaction into something that's not there.
27:18You didn't say anything.
27:21And so that's the reason.
27:22I don't say something.
27:24You take it as me saying something bad?
27:26I didn't say anything bad about your choreography.
27:29You didn't say anything about anything, except for your face to show negativity.
27:33Okay, Kaylee.
27:33I mean, I'm really stressed about, like, I don't want to be the one who loses the winning streak after you've won three in a row.
27:40And you know I'm hard on myself by my choreography.
27:43And then whether you meant to make me feel like that or not, like, I did feel like that because of your reaction.
27:47Okay, but how do I stop you from feeling a certain way when I'm not trying to make you feel that way?
27:53As a dance mom, I was hard.
27:55But that's because I knew how talented she was.
27:59So I think in Kaylee's eyes, maybe I was never satisfied.
28:02I am sorry that you think I didn't like it.
28:05I am sorry that my brain is thinking a million things at one time.
28:08I'm sorry you feel that way.
28:09I don't know what time.
28:10That sounds so genuine, Mom.
28:11When you have that.
28:12Then I can't win.
28:13Then I can't win.
28:14Listen.
28:14Listen.
28:15When you have that tone in your voice, there is no tone.
28:19It doesn't sound like you really mean it.
28:21Okay.
28:22Once again, we just have to agree to disagree.
28:24Once again, nothing gets resolved from trying to communicate ever.
28:27It doesn't matter what I say.
28:29So I'm done with the conversation.
28:32Oh, sorry.
28:33It's okay.
28:33You're good.
28:33You're good.
28:34It's not that I need to be, like, praised all the time.
28:39But just, like, she is my mom and I care so much about what she thinks and I want her approval.
28:44I'm sure the rumors are already flying about Audrey quitting.
29:03And now, with the mess between Kaylee and me, I would have loved to have just called in sick and stayed home.
29:09But we're going to push past this drama and prove to everyone that Project X is totally fine, even if we're not.
29:15Oh, look at this perfect duo helping each other.
29:21So last night, I barely get any sleep because I've been, like, up really late practicing my duo with Bellatrix to make it, like, perfect.
29:27And this is, like, a big deal to me because I miss that Ms. Cole hasn't been calling me a star as much as she used to.
29:32I'm going to try and win and take her eyes off of other people and show her that I can be her star.
29:37Let me do your eyebrows first.
29:39Is Mia ready to compete today?
29:43Not as ready as she was last week.
29:45Let's just say that.
29:47Everybody's been telling me when you do two is a completely different story, right?
29:51So we'll see how it turns out.
29:53I think that we honestly can beat them, but it's really depending on my turns.
30:00I think your turns are good.
30:02You guys just need to make sure that you're doing it at the same time.
30:05Stand the beat and don't, like, forget about anything.
30:08But I'm already in the zone.
30:10I don't want to ruin what you have going on right now, but I really want you to remember what's at stake here.
30:15Like, literally, you have two ways to shine today.
30:18I don't think my mom understands the zone.
30:21Oh, my God, that's too much eye glue.
30:26Oh, gosh, it's singing.
30:27Hello.
30:30How we doing?
30:32We ready?
30:32Girls, I told you, I'm looking for someone who can't be in the zone.
30:35You can maybe be the next lead of this team.
30:37We have a hole to fill.
30:39I know that you guys are all very talented, but we also know that Audrey's older.
30:45Audrey's been doing this longer, and Audrey's a really great asset to the team.
30:49Okay?
30:50Ms. Glow?
30:51Yes, ma'am?
30:51Since you brought up Audrey, it almost feels like she hasn't left because Tammy is, like, still trying to figure out, like, what's going on.
31:00She went through all the details.
31:01Do you know anything about this?
31:03Has Tammy been texting me questions?
31:05Yes.
31:05No one has indicated to me that she's coming back.
31:09Yeah, I mean, Tammy definitely has FOMO.
31:12I don't blame her.
31:12Oh, for sure.
31:12I don't blame her.
31:13Oh, there's no question.
31:14She has FOMO.
31:14But, I mean, last thing Audrey said to me is that she doesn't want to do it, that she quits.
31:19But I'm also not going to worry about it and dwell on it until I have a reason to.
31:23I want to focus on this today.
31:26Tammy and Audrey quit the team because it was too much for them, and we all supported that.
31:30So it's confusing because she keeps texting us nonstop.
31:32It's like she doesn't want to be on the team, but she still wants to be the center of attention on the team.
31:37If you need space, take the space.
31:39We have other dances to worry about.
31:41And on that note, let's go.
31:43Let's glow.
31:45I'm, like, really nervous for the turns, and I want to show the team in this glow that I can do two dances.
31:50It's just when I go on stage, I just get, like, so much more nervous, and then I, like, think in my mind, like, negative thoughts, which I have to get out.
31:59Next to the stage, please welcome entry number 100, Pickleball vs. Tennis.
32:11Give me, give me, give me that swing, give me that swing, give me that swing.
32:14Give me, give me, give me, give me, give me that swing, give me that swing, give me that swing.
32:19My heart is giving you love.
32:24Try not to need you so much.
32:29You will move on right from the start.
32:31Your eyes are saying the same.
32:33But now it seems always easy to shake.
32:36I'm gonna shoot you down.
32:37Say, don't you say, I'll do what you do, don't you be my lover.
32:43I'm gonna say, I'll make you pay, but you better run for a couple.
32:47Say, don't you say, I'll do what you do, don't you be my lover.
32:51What happened to you about?
32:52Um, yeah, I'm traveling for the devil.
32:56I'm gonna say, I'll make you pay, but you better run for a couple.
33:01Say, don't you say, I'll do what you do, don't you be my lover.
33:05I really did the wrong amount of terms of her set
33:16And it wasn't Mia that I've seen in the last two competitions
33:19Mia looked scared
33:20It's okay
33:23Mia, everything
33:25I should have done what she was doing
33:28And then I just did the right thing
33:30But then it made me feel like I was wrong
33:33No, it's my fault
33:34I'm the one who messed us up
33:35I'm the one who messed me up
33:36If you're not, trust me or not
33:38Don't even worry about the pyramid
33:56Everything will be fine
33:57I've been on the bottom many times
33:59I think we could be Lily and Mia
34:03They just have some off-timing moments
34:05We're ready to dance or we're gonna kill it
34:07Next to the stage, please welcome
34:10Country number 401, Bullitt Springs
34:13See you in the next one
34:20Whoa-oh
34:22Haw chili murdered in an injection globe
34:24We're ready to do this
34:25Hey guys, girls
34:30We're ready to go
34:30Take care, stay British
34:32Be careful
34:33You see Eagle
34:36legitimacy with quelques-backs
34:37I should beç·Šå¼µ
34:38You see Eagle
34:40Carol
35:42She started doing the kicks before the other part.
35:44Oh.
35:45Well, like, Ms. Cole gets mad about, like, every little thing, so she's definitely going
35:48to be upset.
35:49I don't think it's going to win anything.
35:52It wasn't clean enough.
35:54Hi, babies.
35:55Hi, guys.
35:56Good job.
35:57You're so proud of you guys.
35:58You're so proud of me.
35:59It's okay.
36:00It's okay.
36:01It's okay.
36:02You did play it out really well.
36:03I think they just didn't have enough time to really practice.
36:05But this was our main concern.
36:06Having a new team member was, like, these girls have done it before.
36:20Doing two dances is not easy.
36:21I'm very proud of Ashlyn and Bellatrix.
36:24Like, they worked so well together.
36:26They were so excited.
36:27But you messed up right at the beginning.
36:31Pickleball versus tennis.
36:33Lily, you did the wrong set of turns on the first one.
36:35And I think, Mia, you let, like, that one turn affect you.
36:38You can't let one mistake at the beginning of the dance mess you up.
36:42You just got in your head.
36:45And you've had these amazing performances.
36:47And I don't know if it was learning two fully different routines,
36:51but you can't let yourself get so nervous before you go out there.
36:55We all should want better.
36:58We should.
36:59All right.
37:00It's in the judges' hands now.
37:02Girls, I need you to focus on the group now.
37:04We're done with duos, yes?
37:06OK.
37:07I need you guys to come with me.
37:08You have to get in here.
37:09Makeup is going to take, like, five hours.
37:11So we got to get started.
37:13Glo is not happy.
37:15But the girls need to shake it off.
37:17Ms. Glo spends so much time teaching the girls
37:19how to connect to this dance.
37:21And with all the drama that Audrey has caused,
37:24if the girls can't act like old people,
37:26the one acting like an old lady and dropping dead
37:28is going to be Ms. Glo.
37:29How old am I going to look?
37:30You're going to look 80.
37:31What?
37:32I want wrinkles.
37:33You don't want wrinkles forever.
37:34Believe me.
37:35But then I'll be able to tune with my mom.
37:36Oh, OK.
37:37Oh, my God.
37:38Oh, my God.
37:39Layla, why do you look just the same way?
37:40Oh, my God.
37:41Oh, my God.
37:42Oh, my God.
37:43Layla, why do you look just the same as you do every pyramid?
37:45Let me just say, I hope the guys don't fall head over here.
37:46Oh, my God.
37:47Oh, my God.
37:48Oh, my God.
37:49Oh, my God.
37:51Oh, my God.
37:52Oh, my God.
37:53Oh, my God.
37:54Oh, my God.
37:55Layla, why do you look just the same as you do every pyramid?
37:56Oh, my God.
37:57Oh, my God.
37:58Oh, my God.
37:59Oh, my God.
38:00Oh, my God.
38:01Oh, my God.
38:02Oh, my God.
38:03Oh, my God.
38:04Layla, why do you look just the same as you do every pyramid?
38:07Let me just say, I hope the guys don't fall head over here.
38:08The seniors?
38:09Oh, my God.
38:10I don't know.
38:11Let's go stretch over here.
38:12Okay.
38:13Can you still do the banana split?
38:14We've known each other for 60 years, right?
38:15Yeah.
38:16It's probably even more than that.
38:17Can you hear me?
38:18What'd you say?
38:19Can you hear me?
38:20Hold up.
38:21Turn it up.
38:22Nope.
38:23The other way.
38:24Oh.
38:25Oh.
38:26Oh.
38:27Oh.
38:28Oh.
38:29Oh.
38:30Oh.
38:31Oh.
38:32Oh.
38:33Oh.
38:34Oh.
38:35Oh.
38:36Oh.
38:38Kids, are we all looking at me?
38:39Yeah.
38:40I gave you everything that you could possibly need for this to be an amazing performance.
38:45I put a lot into this.
38:47My mom is trusting me with this.
38:49I don't want to be let down.
38:50You don't want to go off stage wishing that you had done better.
38:53Okay?
38:54All of you have something to prove.
38:56What we need to want is to know that we can go out there and we could do an incredible,
39:01amazing, winning performance without Audrey, because you can.
39:06It's been a crazy week.
39:07Smiley's injured, Carlin came in, and then Audrey just suddenly up and quits the team.
39:13But I didn't choose Audrey as the star.
39:16I chose the three of you.
39:18Now go out there and give me that breakout performance that I know you're all capable
39:22of.
39:23I really hope that we can win with me being the lead.
39:39I'm going to do this dance for my great-grandma.
39:42My picture's actually in here, so it's like she's with me while I'm dancing.
39:45She's going to be on stage with me.
39:46I'm doing this dance for my great-grandmother.
39:48I just want to do super well so that she can be happy while she's watching me from up
39:52high.
39:53And I just miss her so much.
39:55Yeah.
39:56I just wish she was able to watch me dance before she passed.
39:59It just makes me really sad that she was never able to see you dance.
40:03Okay, Gina.
40:07Next to the stage, please welcome entry number 102, Fountain of Youth.
42:38I really hope this game's proud of us.
42:55I think that Audrey quitting had more of an effect on me than ever.
43:06of an effect on me than i was expecting and i probably took that out of my mom a little bit
43:11this is my first time choreographing a group for the girls this season and i don't want it

45:30maybe some of them want to fill it i'm impressed okay carlyn thank you for coming in thank you for
45:35filling in you were wonderful i want to talk about the three leads i think all of you gave a great

45:53i saw the change in the emotion and the story and you've always struggled with that you know and i'm
45:58really i'm really really proud of you
46:03gina there's emotion inside of this little body
46:08i really do think that like the only reason why i like dancing so well and having so much emotion is
46:14because like i have something to connect to i really just miss my grandfather i'm glad my mom
46:21is proud of gina but my only thought was i just really wish my mom would say she's proud of me thank
