00:00She was trying to make me look bad.
00:02No, I was trying to make you look better.
00:04Sometimes it does get awkward because Miss Kaylee gets, like, mad at Miss Glow.
00:08If her foot is broken or something.
00:10I didn't have a broken foot for a month.
00:11Good for you.
00:12Gina, this week, you're learning Audrey's solo like an understudy.
00:16Entry number 72, the prayer, that's Gina.
00:19I think Gina is an amazing lyrical dancer, but she lost it in her performance.
00:23It hurts pretty bad.
00:25Smiley, I'm not gonna have you dance this week and risk further injury.
00:29Audrey, I'm a little concerned that you're about to go into high school.
00:32With high school, we hit this fork in the road.
00:34And I've seen so many kids go by the wayside.
00:37It feels like it's all for me.
00:38My husband and I separated.
00:40She doesn't have her dad right now.
00:42I just want my mom to feel the same love that she gives out into the world.
00:47You're going to be doing a beautiful, graceful lyrical dance called the prayer.
00:52It's about exploring Audrey's search for faith.
00:54And that means first was entry number 74, the prayer.
00:58I'm so proud of her.
01:00I just hope that she continues to push through.
01:13Wait, Audrey.
01:14Ooh, I like it, I like it.
01:16Yeah.
01:17Good morning.
01:18Good morning.
01:19James.
01:20James.
01:21Ha-ha.
01:22I was feeling sad yesterday.
01:24Because since I don't wear my engagement ring anymore, I'm just wearing a bunch of like
01:28statement rings.
01:29I just bought a bunch of stuff.
01:30That's like one of my fears too.
01:32I'm like, how weird would it be to not have my ring?
01:35Hey, everyone.
01:36We ready?
01:37Let's go.
01:38Let's roll.
01:39I think Tammy has been struggling a lot with not just Audrey, but just everything that
01:44has come along with the divorce.
01:46I know that things were rough over the weekend, but I think that being here is the best place
01:51for her.
01:52We beat Studio L!
01:53You guys danced so well.
01:59We were up against way tougher competition.
02:02We had a studio there specifically who came to beat us.
02:07And you were flawless, but we know what comes next.
02:13So on the bottom row.
02:18Smiley, simply put, you didn't dance.
02:21So there's nothing really to judge you on.
02:23That's why you're there.
02:24I did get a call from the doctor this morning.
02:26He said that it's like not possible for it to hurt more or like get injured more.
02:29So he said I can dance on it.
02:31He said nothing too abrupt.
02:32Obviously like no jump splits.
02:34So it's on you, but I want you to be honest with me and honest with yourself because it's
02:38not worth one dance for you to make it worse, okay?
02:43Yeah.
02:44Next on the bottom row.
02:49Ashlyn.
02:50What?
02:51Ashlyn, the reason you're there is because your turns were off.
02:55You put your heel down on the pirouette and then it made you wobbly, so it drew my attention.
03:01Next.
03:02Bellatrix, you're probably one of the most technically sound dancers on this team.
03:12But I also want to be able to trust you with the lead of a dance.
03:16And right now, I can't.
03:18Last on the bottom row.
03:22Lily.
03:23Lily, you wanted a solo bad, all you talked about.
03:26And you went out there and forgot the choreography.
03:28And on the second row.
03:34Gina.
03:35Gina, you worked harder than I've seen you work in a very long time.
03:39But you need to be able to connect with the dance emotionally.
03:43I don't see the improvement in you that I've seen in other people.
03:48Next.
03:52Layla.
03:53I think you're killing it this year.
03:54I want to see you back on top of that pyramid.
03:56And last on the second row.
04:02Mia.
04:03You were spectacular in the group dance.
04:05You led that group to that victory.
04:08And my dear, you were feeling yourself in all those diamonds.
04:11Right?
04:13And on the top row.
04:16Audrey!
04:20It was the best I've seen you dance probably since you were maybe five or six years old.
04:25Like, you were totally immersed in that story.
04:29And you could tell that it meant something super personal to you.
04:33Last week, Audrey danced at an emotional level that I have never seen before.
04:38And I think it really inspired the girls.
04:40Which is good because the girls seem to really emotionally connect to the story this week to even have a chance of winning.
04:46Well, I have a plan for that this week.
04:48And I think it's really going to help everyone get along and really bond.
04:53Okay, no fighting.
04:55Right, me, no fighting.
04:57Yes, yes.
04:59I want everyone on this team to have those breakout moments.
05:03So this week, our group dance is going to be about the elderly.
05:07And how great it would feel for them to be in their young bodies again.
05:11And I want you to use your grandparents as inspiration.
05:14Because we saw last week with Audrey what a very personal story can do to elevate our performance.
05:19I want you to go talk to your moms about your grandparents.
05:22And then I want you to come back and share a story that's meaningful to you.
05:27The three best storytellers will be the three leads of the dance.
05:31You all have ten minutes starting.
05:33Now, go.
05:35Ten minutes.
05:37Mom, America.
05:39Uh-huh.
05:40I get emotional because, like, I always say she's my precious gem.
05:45We can talk about grandpapa because his life is a story of hard work and perseverance.
05:52I want it to be emotional.
05:54If it's funny, I'm not going to get the lead.
05:56I want to talk about my grandpa.
05:58Okay.
05:59I want the kids to have a really personal connection to this story.
06:03Because all of us have history within our family that it could be good or bad, but it's there and it's ours.
06:09And I want them to be able to find that and connect to it.
06:13My dad was born in the South in the early 30s and he was racist and he didn't approve of my relationship with Kaylee's father.
06:21He didn't speak to me for eight years because of it.
06:24He did come around, but he didn't meet Kaylee until she was three.
06:28And he passed about eight months after he met her.
06:32I can't blame him for the way he was raised.
06:34But at the same time, I saw things differently and I made my own opinions and choices in life.
06:43Okay. How we doing? Good?
06:45Ashlyn, you get to go first.
06:48Come on. Impress me.
06:49I'm going to try not to cry because I don't want to be called a crybaby anymore.
06:53But I'm going to be talking about my grandpapa.
06:56When he was 19, he had to go to war.
06:59There was like a big explosion.
07:01Since it was very loud, it blew out his ear drums.
07:04So that's why he's hearing aids.
07:07Sometimes I'll talk to him and he'll be like, he won't hear me.
07:09And I remember when I was younger, like, I would go up to him and be like, can you hear me?
07:20This is why Glow is such a good teacher.
07:22She's really motivating the girls to personally connect with this dance.
07:27And this is why we put up with all the crap for days like today.
07:31This memory takes back to when I was a music man.
07:33There is this guy who is sitting in the back of like a subway cart and he was asleep.
07:39So my grandma just started putting things in front of him, like extra hand warmers and extra hats and gloves.
07:44She's does that with everyone.
07:45She always tries to make it known to no matter who it is that you're loved by everyone.
07:50And if you have nothing, like you still have something.
08:00Little tricks.
08:03My great grandma, her name is America and that means America in English.
08:09And so my mom's mom, which is my grandma, she moved to America and my mom stayed with my great grandma in Peru.
08:18My mom told me that like, when she was little, her grandma told her that she wouldn't stop crying for her mom because she was in the U.S.
08:26And like she couldn't see her.
08:28And so my great grandma, she got a passport for my mom to see her mom.
08:31They met in Florida and she recently came to one of my competitions.
08:36I was really happy to see her because it was one of her first times she got to see me like live dancing.
08:41That's awesome.
08:42Yeah, that's my story.
08:44You know, my grandma brought me so I can have a better life, right?
08:48An immigrant, Peruvian, Latina.
08:49And now seeing Bellatrix, who's able to hopefully have this dream, something that she wants.
08:56That's what you want as a parent, you want your kids to be happy.
08:58This is about my grandpa, he's an art teacher and my favorite part to do with him was draw.
09:09And the last time I went to his house, he was really sick and he couldn't draw.
09:16He had cancer and on his way to shipping hospitals, he passed away in the car.
09:23And I never got to say goodbye to him.
09:27Or draw with him and it was just so sad because I was looking forward to speaking with him.
09:33I've never seen Layla connect to a story this deeply before.
09:40And I love that my dad is kind of a part of that.
09:44Everybody sees her as being silly and is Layla going to be silly?
09:48Is she going to be serious? What's Layla going to do?
09:50Well, she has shown everybody that she can be serious when she needs to.
09:54And when she's serious, she's good at it.
09:57Don't count her out.
10:01Hey, Gina, you're up.
10:03My person is my great-grandmother.
10:06She's like the reason why I like started dancing.
10:10Because I used to always go over to her house.
10:13And like, whenever she like pulled on music, I would just like dance with my brother.
10:18And then so, what makes me like the saddest is that she never ever got to see me dance.
10:24But I know that she'll be able to tell me dance from like up high.
10:27This is the exact kind of emotion that I wanted to get out of these girls.
10:33Yes, I want these girls to perform the best they can for Project X.
10:39But in order to have a career as a real working dancer, they have to be able to make the audience feel something.
10:45Just like they did today.
10:46First of all, I appreciate each of you telling me your story.
10:49All of them are powerful.
10:51And I think that Mia hasn't stopped crying in the last half hour.
10:55Kaylee will be choreographing the group dance this week.
10:58I'm having Kaylee choreograph the group this week because the style is just much more in her wheelhouse.
11:02This is not just about dance steps. It's storytelling.
11:06And I know that she's good at that.
11:08I'm excited to share some of your stories through the dance.
11:15I don't know who to choose for the leads because the girls who are the best storytellers aren't necessarily the best dancers.
11:23Yeah, and the strongest dancer on the team who should be your best leader had the worst storytelling out of all of them.
11:30Audrey?
11:32It was, I assure you, way harder than I ever thought it was going to be.
11:37But we have three leads this week.
11:39And so the three leads are...
11:46Kaylee does not look happy.
11:47I'm so sorry you feel that way. I really don't know what to tell you.
11:51Then I can't win. Then I can't win.
11:53Listen!
11:54And now they're fighting.
11:55I'm done with the conversation.
11:59What?
12:00What?
12:08It was way harder than I ever thought it was going to be.
12:13The three leads are Gina, Layla, and Bellatrix.
12:19I'm looking for a leader and a breakthrough performance.
12:23I think that the three of you have something really powerful to pull from.
12:27And we will be doing duos.
12:29The first duo is going to Lily and Mia.
12:37And you will be competing against Ashlyn and Bellatrix.
12:44Smiley, I'm not going to push you to do too much, but you will be in the group because we plan to have all eight dancers in the group this week.
12:57However, Smiley, just in case you can't dance, I'm bringing in Carlin.
13:01You all know Carlin, right? She's a student here.
13:05I coincidentally went to high school with Carlin's father.
13:09Yeah, we love Carlin.
13:10She's a really smart, quick, talented little girl.
13:13And Carlin will learn the dance.
13:16I have to cover all my bases, Smiley, okay?
13:19So I need to have a plan B in case we need it.
13:22You guys can go to Mom's and then everyone out and then we will pick up with group rehearsal.
13:27Good job, everyone.
13:29Oh, you guys, she's here.
13:33Hi.
13:34Last night, Glow called me and said, well, can you clear your schedule?
13:38Because we need you.
13:39So here we are.
13:41We've actually known Glow forever, it feels like.
13:44We actually started with Studio Blue and then left and went to another studio.
13:49And then came back when Project X opened.
13:53Back around again.
13:54Back around again, yep.
13:56All right, so Carlin, you're on standby.
13:59I'm having you learn the choreography just in case Smiley can't dance.
14:03You're going to be dressed as old people.
14:05You're going to either have gray spray or gray wigs.
14:08Everyone will have old makeup, but the three leads will have the prosthetics.
14:12This is going to be fun.
14:14Okay, we're going to start with like a group section.
14:15So we're all going to be doing kind of the same thing, but there's going to be two like different parts.
14:18At this point, everybody is kind of feeling young again.
14:21Yeah?
14:22Because imagine like, I think it's probably painful to be like 90 years old, right?
14:25So imagine like, yeah, having to be like that for forever and then you're like, oh my God, I can sit up straight again.
14:29And we go one, two, down, up, chasse, up, step, land to the back, slide parallel, arms go out, pulling it straight in.
14:42Yes.
14:43Got it?
14:44Okay.
14:45Are you ready?
14:46Seven and a go.
14:50Go and up.
14:51And chasse, five, up, six, seven, out, in.
14:55Okay.
14:56Guys, out.
14:57Don't, I don't want us to go out.
14:59Okay?
15:00Down, out, in.
15:02I am not at all seeing even close to the amount of passion we had earlier when we were talking.
15:08The only person that I kind of believed was Gina, who usually is the one that isn't performing.
15:12And right now she's outperforming every single one of you.
15:14I didn't see that from any other person in this room.
15:17Not even Audrey the winner last week, who did the most performance I've ever seen in my life.
15:23And I can't bring even a little bit of that into the room right now.
15:26It almost feels like I can't believe how we were acting before because it doesn't seem like we feel it now.
15:31If we really, truly felt that way, I think we'd be dancing much bigger than we did.
15:35So don't make me think that you were just saying that to get a lead part.
15:38Okay?
15:39Get some water if you need some.
15:41This is my first time choreographing a routine this season.
15:44And I'm really disappointed in Audrey that she could give a performance like she did last week and then this is what she brings today.
15:50Like, that's not acceptable.
15:52Audrey has to understand that she can't always be the lead.
15:55I need to spread out these lead roles so that the other girls can have an opportunity to show me that they have this role.
16:00That they have this star potential that I know they have.
16:03And they're not going to do that if Audrey's always the lead.
16:07This one is broken.
16:13Lily, Mia, go!
16:17This dance, it's a really serious subject matter.
16:21Oh.
16:22And it's dividing our country.
16:24It's ending relationships.
16:27It's tearing families apart because of how serious it is.
16:32You think you can handle telling that story?
16:35Your dance is about tennis versus pickleball.
16:41Oh.
16:45I don't really get the same.
16:48Lily, you are the tennis player.
16:50And Mia, you're all about pickleball.
16:52Yes?
16:53When you do duos, it's really hard because it's not like you can hide like you're in a group dance.
16:57But it's also not like it's a solo either where if you mess up, you can just like make it up on the spot.
17:02Up!
17:03And brush!
17:04You have to be doing the same thing, otherwise it looks wrong.
17:07I've never done a duo with Mia before and she's Miss Glow's new favorite.
17:10And I don't want to give Miss Glow any reason for her to think that I'm the weak link.
17:14Turn, turn, out!
17:16Out!
17:17Out!
17:18This week is so important for Mia because if she pulls out this one, that will be third win consecutively.
17:25And I think that really proves that, you know, she can bring it.
17:29And this is the first time she has two dances.
17:32Right, exactly.
17:35This will be the true test this week.
17:37That's true.
17:38I know Lisa's trying to do something right now, but I'm really excited for the duo with Mia this week because I'm confident I think they're gonna win.
17:46One, two, three, four, five and six, seven and eight and.
17:51I think that they have the technique and the turns and both of our basements are filled with crowns and trophies.
17:57I don't see the crowns and trophies in Ashlyn's basement or Bellatrix's.
18:00So the idea behind the duo is that you are a puppet.
18:05And Bellatrix, you are the puppet master and I need you guys to feed off each other because that's really what this is about.
18:11I'm pumped because me and Bellatrix, we've known each other for a long time and we've danced together before.
18:15So we know like how each other dance.
18:17Yeah, we like we work really well together.
18:20We're besties.
18:21We're besties.
18:22Here we go.
18:23One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
18:25One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
18:27One, two, three, four, six, seven, eight.
18:29One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
18:32They have great chemistry, but they are different dancers.
18:35All right, girls.
18:36Listen.
18:37You have very different dances, yes, but you guys both have to tell a story, right?
18:43Otherwise, the dances are going to fall flat.
18:45Mia, I want to see you continue your winning streak.
18:48And if not, you guys better be first and you better be second.
18:52Yes?
18:53Go out, get some water, see your moms.
18:56Ashlyn and Bellatrix grew up together in the studio.
18:58So they've been friends since they were literally babies.
19:01Lily and Mia might have the technique that you can perform because you're being a teacher
19:06and then Corinne's going to be like rehearsing until like three in the morning.
19:09Ashlyn and Bellatrix actually have rock chemistry.
19:15Hi.
19:17I remember when Jing started, she used to come in at the middle of the day, too.
19:22Oh, how the roles have changed.
19:25Here we go.
19:29Mom.
19:32My mom talked to you.
19:34Kaylee and Bella, can you guys go out?
19:36We're just going to talk to my school.
19:38Thanks, guys.
19:41What happened?
19:42Well, I just wanted to let you know that, um,
19:48I just think everything that I'm going through in my family,
19:52it's gotten really bad.
19:55And I just think I need to stop with the team.
20:03What?
20:04She's leaving this team?
20:07Audrey, what would make things better?
20:09I am utterly shocked that Audrey wants to quit the team.
20:14Audrey has been having a really difficult week with everything that comes with a separation.
20:21I don't want Audrey to quit, but my main focus will always be Audrey and Audrey's well-being.
20:28And so my goal this week is just to help support her.
20:33You're both going through a rough time.
20:35But at the same time, remember how you felt last week?
20:38Like, you were beaming ear to ear.
20:41You were so happy.
20:42I understand that you're struggling right now, but I also know you.
20:47And I know that you could wake up two days from now and feel completely different.
20:51And then where are you?
20:53I understand that Audrey is extra sensitive right now because of the divorce.
20:57But she can't go around failing on things because she's not the center of attention.
21:02This is a pattern with Audrey.
21:04She has to understand that her words mean something.
21:08And in the real world, you can't go around quitting things like she has with me in the past.
21:12Tammy texted saying, hi, we are not going to return due to a family emergency.
21:18I'm unsure about tomorrow or the remainder of the week.
21:22That's strange.
21:23Fool me once, shame on you.
21:25Fool me twice, shame on me.
21:27I don't want you to make a decision based on having a few bad days,
21:31because once you make that decision, you can't go back.
21:35You're going to still be looking at all your friends doing what they're doing,
21:38and it's going to be hard for you.
21:40And that might make it worse.
21:46Kaylee has told us about her experience with dance mom, GLOW,
21:49and how she's felt pressured.
21:51I think Kaylee resents GLOW for not letting her quit dance when she wanted to.
21:56So I think this is triggering for Kaylee to watch.
21:58I think you need to stop saying it.
22:00You're going to be missing out on this.
22:01You need to be missing out on this.
22:02I'm not Kaylee.
22:03She is her mother, not you.
22:04I'm talking to you.
22:05Kaylee, trust me, I am talking to her mother.
22:08This is not a good time for you guys to argue.
22:11We're not doing this.
22:12I'm being there for your child when she needs this.
22:14I know you are, but she needs this.
22:15And so is her mother.
22:16I'm not saying she's not, but she needs this.
22:18But for a teacher, we don't tell her to stay.
22:21Did I tell her to stay?
22:22Never once told her to stay.
22:23So don't put words in my mouth, and we're not going to do this,
22:25because this is the last thing she needs.
22:27All right, let's, Audrey, let's go.
22:30Let's go home.
22:31I know, like, Audrey's been going through a lot,
22:33and, like, it's not just, like, this week,
22:34but, like, occasionally I'll see her, like, crying at the studio.
22:37The team is, like, kind of just, like, a little bit.
22:39Audrey.
22:40You're so brave.
22:51We love you, and we're here for everything.
22:54Don't feel bad for how you're feeling, okay?
22:57Don't feel bad.
22:58We're going to be okay tonight.
22:59We're all here for you.
23:00We all support you.
23:01You're leaving today?
23:03Right now?
23:04Oh, my gosh.
23:07Why?
23:08Audrey's going through a lot of things right now
23:10with her and her family and school,
23:11and it's just really stressful,
23:12especially because she's, like, a teen now,
23:14and, like, there's a lot of emotions and stuff like that.
23:17You'll have to stay, Audrey. We need you.
23:19I need more chips.
23:21Me too.
23:22Audrey, we got to go.
23:23Okay.
23:24Bye, Audrey.
23:25Bye, Audrey.
23:26I don't know what to do.
23:27I have only ever wanted the best for Audrey,
23:30and if she wants to quit, I have to support that.
23:33But I don't want her to regret this,
23:35and it's going to look bad for Project X.
23:37And after everything that happened with Studio Blue,
23:40if I show up to competition without my star dancer,
23:43who I basically raised, people are going to talk.
23:46This is not good.
23:47We've obviously lost our team leader.
23:53Audrey's extremely talented, and when she dances,
23:56I think you guys feed off of that.
23:58So there are three leads in this dance,
24:01and perhaps one of you can emerge as the team leader.
24:05This is your opportunity.
24:07Now it's time for everybody to step up.
24:09Now that Audrey isn't here, we're going to need both Smiley
24:10and Carlin to dance.
24:11Thank God I brought Carlin in as a backup this week.
24:12Let's run it.
24:13So get some chairs.
24:14Seven in.
24:15Seven in.
24:19On the first line.
24:20Go.
24:21Six in.
24:22Seven in.
24:24Project X needs to win to distract from what's going on behind the scenes.
24:28to dance. Thank God I brought Karlyn in as a backup this week. Let's run it. So get some chairs.
24:37Seven in. On the first line, go. Six in. Seven in. Project X needs to win to distract from what's
24:47going on behind the scenes. Smoke and mirrors, literally. Kaylee's choreographing this dance,
24:52but this is my team and my reputation on the line. So this dance needs to be up to par with
24:57all of our other words. And out, down. Layla, get in the back. Okay, spread out. Just go up to the side.
25:08No. What? I don't know. You don't seem pleased with any of it. I love working with the girls,
25:20but I do not love having my mom in the room when I'm teaching. Like, every little look she gives me,
25:25I overthink and I think that she, like, hates everything I'm doing. It makes me feel like
25:29she doesn't trust me to get there eventually. I just wish she wasn't in the room at all, but...
25:33What is your face about? Do you, like, hate it? I mean, yeah. First of all,
25:40I feel like it's really, really, really, really short. It's not going to score well with the judges.
25:47Okay, well, do what you want to do. I don't want to keep doing things and then feel like you don't
25:51like it. Miss Glow and Miss Kaylee aren't having their best moments either. I kind of do wish that
26:00Miss Glow and Miss Kaylee just get together. Like, just start bonding. They could go get their navels done.
26:06Can I make a suggestion? We need to just do more. I don't have a problem with Kaylee's choreography.
26:13I think her choreography is beautiful. It's the fact that I don't see the story.
26:17This dance is just too short. So do the suit new. Now, you face front. I'm adding almost a minute of
26:26choreography to this dance because if we don't add the extra time, it's not going to make sense. And
26:31you're just going to see a lot of little kids who look like they're playing dress up. So everybody
26:35try that. You go under and then you go coupe turn and then you PK attitude and then just pull,
26:43let them continue around and everybody run to their spot. Mia, you're over there now.
26:47You can scooch it in a smidgen. Kaylee does not look happy.
26:51Yesterday, when Audrey and Tammy put the team, Kaylee said some really hurtful things to Glow,
26:56like some low blows. I think some issues surfaced that they weren't prepared to deal with. But now
27:02our girls are paying the price. Girls, I want to talk to my mom. So take a break. We'll see you
27:07tonight. I'm not going to be honest. I'm not in the best mood because of how you're making me feel
27:12with your reaction to the dance. But you're reading a reaction into something that's not there.
27:18You didn't say anything. And so that's the reason. So wait, I don't say something. You take it as me
27:25saying something bad. I didn't say anything bad about your choreography. You didn't say anything
27:29about anything except for your face to show negativity. Okay, Kaylee. I mean, I'm really
27:36stressed about, like, I don't want to be the one who loses the winning streak after you've won three
27:39in a row. And you know I'm hard on myself about my choreography. And then whether you meant to make
27:45me feel like that or not, like, I did feel like that because of your reaction. Okay, but how do I stop you
27:48feeling a certain way when I'm not trying to make you feel that way? As a dance mom, I was hard. But
27:56that's because I knew how talented she was. So I think in Kaylee's eyes, maybe I was never satisfied.
28:02I am sorry that you think I didn't like it. I am sorry that my brain is thinking a million things
28:07at one time. I'm sorry you feel that way. I don't know what time. That sounds so genuine, Mom.
28:11When you have that tone in your voice,
28:17there is no tone.
28:19It doesn't sound like you really mean it. Okay. Once again, we just have to agree to disagree.
28:24Once again, nothing gets resolved from trying to communicate ever. It doesn't matter what I say.
28:29So I'm done with the conversation. Oh, sorry. It's okay. You're good. You're good.
28:34It's not that I need to be, like,
28:38praised all the time. But just, like, she is my mom and I care so much about what she thinks and I want her approval.
28:47I'm sure the rumors are already flying about Audrey quitting. And now, with the mess between Kaylee and me,
29:06I would have loved to have just called in sick and stayed home. But we're going to push past this drama
29:11and prove to everyone that Project X is totally fine, even if we're not.
29:15Oh, look at this perfect duo helping each other.
29:21So last night, I barely get any sleep because I've been, like, up really late practicing my
29:25duo with Bellatrix to make it, like, perfect. And this is, like, a big deal to me because
29:29I miss that Ms. Cole hasn't been calling me a star as much as she used to. I'm going to try and win
29:33and take her eyes off of other people and show her that I can be her star.
29:37Let me do your eyebrows first.
29:39Is Nia ready to compete today?
29:43Not as ready as she was last week. Let's just say that.
29:47Everybody's been telling me when you do two is a completely different story, right? So we'll see how it
29:52turns out. I think that we honestly can beat them, but it's really depending on my turns.
30:00I think your turns are good. You guys just need to make sure that you're doing it at the same time.
30:05Stand the beat and don't, like, forget about anything.
30:08But I'm already in the zone.
30:11I don't want to ruin what you have going on right now, but I really want you to remember
30:14what's at stake here. Like, literally, you have two ways to shine today.
30:18I don't think my mom understands the zone.
30:20Oh, my God. That's too much eye glue.
30:26Oh, gosh. It's singing.
30:27Hello.
30:30How are we doing? We ready?
30:32Girls, I told you I'm looking for someone who can maybe be the next lead of this team.
30:37We have a hole to fill. I know that you guys are all very talented, but we also know that Audrey's
30:45older. Audrey's been doing this longer, and Audrey's a really great asset to the team.
30:49Okay?
30:50Ms. Glow?
30:51Yes, ma'am?
30:51Since you brought up Audrey, it almost feels like she hasn't left because Tammy is, like,
30:57still trying to figure out, like, what's going on. She went through all the details. Do you know
31:01anything about this?
31:02Has Tammy been texting any questions? Yes. No one has indicated to me that she's coming back.
31:08Yeah, I mean, Tammy definitely has FOMO. I don't blame her.
31:12Oh, for sure. Oh, there's no question. She has FOMO. But, I mean, last thing Audrey said to me is
31:17that she doesn't want to do it, that she quits. But I'm also not going to worry about it and dwell
31:22on it until I have a reason to. No, let's move on.
31:23I want to focus on this today. Tammy and Audrey quit the team because it was too much for them,
31:28and we all supported that. So it's confusing because she keeps texting us nonstop. It's like,
31:33she doesn't want to be on the team, but she still wants to be the center of attention on the team.
31:37If you need space, take the space. We have other dances to worry about.
31:41And on that note, let's go. Let's glow. I'm, like, really nervous for the turn,
31:47and I want to show the team in this glow that I can do two dances. It's just when I go on stage,
31:51I can just get, like, so much more nervous, and then I, like, think in my mind, like,
31:56negative thoughts, which I have to get out. Next to the stage, please welcome entry number 100,
32:02Pickleball versus Tennis.
32:11Give me that swing. Give me that swing. Give me that swing. Give me, give me, give me, give me, give me that swing. Give me that swing. Give me that swing.
32:19My heart is giving you love. Try not to need you so much. You were the one right from the start. Your eyes were saying the same. But now it seems always easy to shake. I'm gonna shoot you down.
32:38Say what you say. I'll do what you do, don't you be my lover. Say I'll make you pay, but you're better on the phone's cover. Say why I say I'll do what you do, don't you be my lover.
32:52What happened to those? Um, yeah. That was supposed to be .
32:57Say I'll make you pay, but you're better on the phone.
33:01Say what you say. I'll do what you do, don't you be my lover.
33:07I said I'll make you pay for the better room for you.
33:14I really did the wrong amount of terms of her set.
33:16And it wasn't Mia that I've seen in the last two competitions.
33:19Mia looked scared.
33:23It's okay.
33:24Mia, everything?
33:25I follow music.
33:26I should have did what she was doing.
33:28And then I just did the right thing.
33:30But then it made me look like I was wrong.
33:33No, it's my fault.
33:34I know what you messed us up.
33:35I don't want to be scared of me.
33:36If you're not, if you trust me or not.
33:38Mom.
33:42All right, honey, honey, honey, honey, honey.
33:44It's okay, it's okay.
33:46It's okay.
33:54Don't even worry about, like, the pyramid.
33:56Everything will be fine.
33:58I've been on the bottom and it's fine.
34:00I think you could be Lily and Mia.
34:03They just have some off-timing moments.
34:05We're ready to dance or we're going to kill it.
34:08Next to the stage, please welcome country number 401, Boland Springs.
35:09Who messed up at the beginning?
35:35Do you know?
35:36Somebody did the wrong thing on the bench.
35:37It was Ashlyn.
35:41It was Ashlyn.
35:42She started doing the kicks before the other part.
35:46My skull gets mad about every little thing, so she's definitely going to be upset.
35:50I don't think it's going to win anything that wasn't clean enough.
35:54I think they just didn't have enough time to really practice.
36:14But this was our main concern, having a new team member, was like, these girls have done
36:19it before.
36:20Doing two dances is not easy.
36:22I'm very proud of Ashlyn and Bellatrix.
36:25Like, they worked so well together.
36:27They were so excited.
36:28But you messed up right at the beginning.
36:32Pickleball versus tennis.
36:33Lily, you did the wrong set of turns on the first one.
36:35And I think, Mia, you let, like, that one turn affect you.
36:38You can't let one mistake at the beginning of the dance mess you up.
36:43You just got in your head.
36:46And you've had these amazing performances.
36:48And I don't know if it was learning two fully different routines.
36:51But you can't let yourself get so nervous before you go out there.
36:56We all should want better.
36:58We should.
37:00All right.
37:00It's in the judges' hands now.
37:03Girls, I need you to focus on the group now.
37:05We're done with duos, yes?
37:07Okay.
37:08I need you guys to come with me.
37:09You have to get in here.
37:10Makeup is going to take, like, five hours.
37:12So we got to get started.
37:14Glo is not happy.
37:16But the girls need to shake it off.
37:17Ms. Glo spends so much time teaching the girls how to connect to this dance.
37:21And with all the drama that Audrey has caused,
37:24if the girls can't act like old people,
37:26the one acting like an old lady and dropping dead is going to be Ms. Glo.
37:30How old am I going to look?
37:31You're going to look 80.
37:32What? I want wrinkles.
37:33You don't want wrinkles forever, believe me.
37:35But then I'll be able to join with my mom.
37:37Oh, okay.
37:37I'm not going to look, I'm not going to look.
37:56I'm not going to touch on you.
37:58Oh, my God.
38:01Layla, why do you look just the same as you do every pyramid?
38:09Let me just say, I hope the guys don't fall head over here.
38:16The seniors?
38:18I don't know.
38:19Let's go stretch over here.
38:20Okay.
38:22Can you still do the banana split?
38:25We've known each other for 60 years, right?
38:27It's probably even more than that.
38:29Can you hear me?
38:31What'd you say?
38:32Can you hear me?
38:33Hold up.
38:34Turn it up.
38:35Nope.
38:35The other way.
38:36Oh, oh.
38:38Kids, are we all looking at me?
38:39Yeah.
38:40I gave you everything that you could possibly need
38:43for this to be an amazing performance.
38:45I put a lot into this.
38:47My mom is trusting me with this.
38:49I don't want to be let down.
38:51You don't want to go off stage wishing that you had done better.
38:53Okay?
38:54All of you have something to prove.
38:57What we need to want is to know that we can go out there
39:00and we could do an incredible, amazing winning performance
39:03without Audrey, because you can.
39:06It's been a crazy week.
39:08Smiley's injured.
39:09Carlin came in.
39:10And then Audrey just suddenly up and quits the team.
39:14But I didn't choose Audrey as the star.
39:16I chose the three of you.
39:18Now go out there and give me that breakout performance
39:21that I know you're all capable of.
39:23I really hope that we can win with me being the lead.
39:40I'm going to do this dance for my great-grandma.
39:42My picture's actually in here,
39:44so it's like she's with me while I'm dancing.
39:45She's going to be on stage with me.
39:46I'm doing this dance for, like, my great-grandmother.
39:48I just want to do super well
39:50so that she can be happy while she's watching me from up high.
39:53And I just miss her so much.
39:55And I just wish she was able to watch me dance before she passed.
40:00It just makes me really sad
40:01that she was never able to see me dance.
40:04Okay, Gina.
40:05Next to the stage, please welcome entry number 102, Fountain of Youth.

41:04Woo!
43:04Think that Audrey quitting had more of an effect on me than I was expecting and I probably took that out of my mom a little bit
43:11This is my first time choreographing a group for the girls this season
43:14And I don't want it to be the first time that they don't get first this season. All right. How are we feeling out there?
43:23All right, we are going to start out with our top advanced junior duo trio category
43:31In third place

44:27Next week I better at least be top three on the pyramid
44:29Congratulations dancers take a bow great job

45:01The captain of you.
45:11All right, dancers, can you tell us what you dance?
45:14We got two firsts and a second, and without Audrey.
45:24I think that we see some people trying to rise to the occasion.
45:28You know, they see a spot.
45:29And I think maybe some of them want to fill it.
45:32I'm impressed.
45:33Karlyn, thank you for coming in.
45:35Thank you for filling in.
45:36You were wonderful.
45:37I want to talk about the three leads.
45:39I think all of you gave a great performance.
45:41I think one person really, really, really gave the performance of a lifetime.
45:50Gina.
45:52I saw the change and the emotion and the story,
45:55and you've always struggled with that, you know?
45:58And I'm really, I'm really, really proud of you.
46:03Gina, there's emotion inside of this little buddy.
46:07I really do think that, like, the only reason why I'm, like, dancing so well and having so much emotion is because, like, I have something to connect to.
46:15I really just miss my grandpa and everything.
46:19I'm glad my mom is proud of Gina.
46:21But my only thought was, I just really wish my mom would say she's proud of me.
46:25Thank you guys for trying so hard and being vulnerable and feeling something.
46:29So what's the deal with Audrey?
46:31Is she coming back?
46:33I guess we'll have to find out, won't we?
46:35Yeah.
46:44All of you will be playing the part of a drag queen.
46:47Good morning, youngo.
46:49Hello.
46:50I think we're gonna read the moms, right?
46:53Mama, you think that you eat your outfits every day, but the outfits actually eat you every day.
46:57Ooh!
47:02Is Tammy here?
47:03That's Tammy.
47:04Oh, my God.
47:05This is ridiculous.
47:06Here we go.
47:07You're both in my case.
47:09You make her feel, like, very embarrassing.
47:12This is not helping when we were right about to go on stage and then the mom was like, la, la, la, la.
47:18This is not okay with me.
