05:58literal sense in this case, because there are literal Democrats who know they can never get
06:08elected, if they run as a Democrat in a red district or reddish-purple district, they will claim
06:21to be a Republican, file as a Republican.
06:26They even spew a few red or right or GOP talking points on occasion.
06:36But you look at their history, they are Democrats.
06:41They haven't, like Reagan or Zandrew in New Jersey, switched parties because the Democrats left them.
06:52They haven't left the Democrat Party.
06:57They are masquerading as Republicans and unfortunately able to fool a lot of people in Republican primaries
07:07and win a Republican primary so they can get elected in a general election in a red district,
07:17a reddish-purple district, go to serve in the Texas legislature as a supposed Republican,
07:27part of the Republican caucus, and yes, of course, having the R next to their name counts to us
07:35having majority in the legislation bodies, both the House and the Senate in Texas.
07:43But they're Democrats, and they side with the Democrats a lot of times.
07:50It's why we don't get school reforms, school choice for years denied in Texas a supposed red state
08:01because there's a lot of Democrats pretending to be Republicans to get elected.
08:08That body isn't as red and conservative as it should be, and I'm sorry I'm calling out some of you Texans here
08:20to pay more attention in your damn primary and elect actual Republicans in the primary
08:30so they go on to win in the general and the Texas legislature would actually be Republican,
08:39not Democrat-like a lot of times.
