Cojuangco slams Villegas statement condemning proposed power plant in Pangasinan  Pangasinan 2nd District Rep. Mark Cojuangco questions the validity of Archbishop Socrates Villegas’ statement condemning the proposed Pangasinan Nuclear Power Plant to be built in Labrador, Pangasinan. He told The Manila Times during the opening of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute’s  (DOST-PNRI) 53rd Atomic Energy Week in Quezon City on Dec. 9, 2025. Cojuangco claimed that when he spoke to Bishop Jacinto Jose of Urdaneta, he said he was pro-nuclear, unlike what Villegas claims. 01:18renewables are intermittent give you an example solar is only available six hours

01:27a day from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. it's really weak and then the

01:39rest of the day it's night time there's no solar so meaning you have to build an LNG

01:47backup system right so doble na investment mo paano naging mura yon who pays for that

01:58plan hindi yung solar proponent it's the general public it's the general public ah ngayon pag may

02:08araw at may hangin i a-idle mo yung mamahalin mong LNG plant yung sweldo ng tao hindi naman
