DOTr, DPWH to transform Edsa into commuter- and pedestrian-friendly highway  The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announce plans to improve pedestrian infrastructure along Edsa to ensure safety and accessibility for commuters, persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, and pregnant women. Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez and Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon led a joint inspection of pedestrian facilities along Edsa, from Ayala in Makati to Roxas Boulevard in Pasay on Dec. 9, 2025. The walk-through included representatives from Altmobility PH, Move as One Coalition, and other civil society organizations.
