00:28you you have to wear eyelashes they're like this long okay and if you don't do it you have to wear
00:34the eyelashes so see here's what i thought you thought which you still did anyway yeah they
00:39look great i typically wear them for a day like today well uh i didn't i thought that i would
00:45maybe not win and i'd have to speak and then that was how i'd get out of it but then i did
00:50yeah and i didn't say it so i've got on eyelashes got on fake eyelashes and you actually look like
00:56a very subtle eyelash looks very natural i feel pretty i feel a little 10 prettier than i did when
01:03i came in yeah they look really nice do you want to take them off i want to take one of them off

01:48pretty slick yeah what uh what does she do other things to you that are like that uh no but i don't
01:55go home that much anymore there's no telling what's in the cupboard yeah i saw somebody ask you the other
02:00day like what did your mom think about you being people's sexiest country man alive and i was like i
02:05kind of want to know what its grandma thinks uh i bet it hasn't even gotten around to grandma yet her
02:10her uh her gauge of my famousness is very different than most of the world that she don't have social
02:17media or anything like that so she gets her news from like my aunt becky you know and so i see
02:23grandmother and she's like you know uh wayne my her brother my great uncle wayne's like he he said
02:30the waitress of huddle house's daughter listens to music all the time and that is her barometer
02:34but i'm pretty that's a big deal you know pretty big deal now yeah because her because the lady at
02:40wap loss's daughter knows music from what i understand this is incredible well thank you for coming in and
02:46playing along with the eyelashes yeah i needed a little pick me up today you did yeah well you
02:51said you went to bed at seven o'clock last night and woke up at 11 today yeah which is pretty wild
02:55yeah which i think i had something at 10 today so i wasn't at that that's okay that's okay but how
03:01have you been i know you've been really busy you played a bunch of shows this past weekend
03:03uh yeah we're we're still we got a couple of shows this week got a show tomorrow in minneapolis and
03:08then houston whatever the next day is and uh looking forward to the little wind down after
03:15we're gonna do nfr in vegas two shows for the rodeo uh and then after that i'll uh yeah i'm not a big
03:24vegas guy but the rodeo is different it's a very country crowd out there then you know i remember i
03:31didn't know one year that that's i that like years like what is happening right now yeah yeah
03:37it's a very different time did you see the acms announced they're going back to vegas today
03:40no but that'll be fun yeah that'll be great to go back there but you're not a vegas guy
03:44no but i mean that's also different because you walk in in every casino and hotel in vegas and you
03:49see the same people you see here for cfa's or whatever yeah it's crs in vegas yeah parties at a
03:55table losing a bunch of money or luke bryan or somebody which is always really fun so you've got a
03:59little bit of a break coming up for holidays do you have anything planned are you doing more
04:03hunting nothing i mean yeah i'll probably hunt a little bit but i saw you got a deer last week
04:06i did yeah i caught one yeah you caught one yeah how did you catch it last week i caught him with
04:11my bow and arrow yeah uh i got a little farm in kansas and uh it's it's one of those places that
04:17it's a little farmhouse it's in the middle of nowhere you have to drive 30 minutes to get to any
04:23kind of store from there and i'll just not speak to another human for about three or four days and go
04:28there and hunt it's very very relaxing you go there by yourself yeah who took all those pictures
04:34of you and the deer then well i've got a farmer that uh cuts hay and all that yeah up there and
04:39he'll come by and like help me load the deer up i was gonna say didn't you say that like dragging
04:43it out was pretty hard dragging it out was tough he wasn't there for that okay and uh i didn't have
04:48a truck out a rental car i got dropped off after a show somewhere so i had a cadillac escalade
04:53stuff i didn't want to put a deer in the back of that so i called the guy to come help me take it to
04:57the processor all right i felt like that probably you wouldn't have gotten your deposit back on the
05:00i probably won anyway it was pretty dirty after yeah uh but i i've learned i think i'm pretty uh
05:07technologically savvy you are because i yeah i am i know it doesn't come off that way with my
05:13eyelashes i look a lot smaller but i killed a deer up there caught a deer sorry and uh i didn't have
05:21anybody to take a picture so i set my phone up on video and then i would just go and then i
05:25screenshot the picture that's how you did that yeah i was gonna say because there's like goofy
05:29pictures of you like laying in the field with the deer well no he took that one but i'm saying i
05:33did that before yeah he i wasn't being goofy i was exhausted i just drugged the deer up a hill
05:39and i was laying there but uh but yeah that's pretty smart right that's pretty good look at you
05:44so technologically savvy um all right so you got hunting you've been doing don't mind if i do
05:50is approaching number one which is really exciting number one number six right i don't know you don't
05:55know yeah i mean that'd be awesome that sounds six sounds great this is a song that you another
06:02one that you wrote by yourself do you remember like where you wrote this what you were doing
06:05where the inspiration came from i was in the green room in fayetteville arkansas rogers arkansas
06:10play a show at the walmart amphitheater and there's a top golf next door and i had a bunch of buddies
06:17from arkansas come to the show and they were all going to talk and i was like remember thinking
06:20like yeah i'll send them all over there and then i can like have some quiet and so i sent everybody
06:26to top golf and i wrote the song in the green room i remember my security guard kept busting in
06:30checking on me i was like i'm fine just leave me alone yeah so you had the idea your friends were
06:35all there and you were like get out i've got to take care of this i had the idea for a while and i
06:38think it was going to be like a fun beer drinking song don't mind if i do like you know i went out last
06:43night yeah and uh that was the way i pictured it i got mirrors looking right at me sorry and uh
06:49there's also a nap flying around right now i can't look like there's three because i was looking in
06:53the mirror so uh you know i sat down with the song and i had this little guitar lick i was doing and
06:59i thought about man how cool would it be if that was i don't mind if i do like to that call from that
07:03x or whatever it is and so i went down that road and it was a really easy song to write it was uh and
07:08the first song i'd written as a duet without a female involved in it yeah that's a little weird
07:15you know to write a female's perspective on a course at the end but i thought i didn't think
07:19about that yeah okay so what else have you got planned for the holidays gonna do more hunting
07:23what else i'm gonna do a lot of nothing i'm gonna lay around i'm gonna go visit with the family a
07:27little bit see everybody and then nap catch up on my sleep i think it's like a hibernation time for me
07:33in the holidays we'll crank back up pretty soon too we've got a crush my plyo with luke bryan out
07:39and that'll be zero fun yes yeah it's miserable yeah all right so laying around for you what is that
07:46are you like binging shows do you have like a list of stuff you've been waiting to get to like since
07:49life's been so busy i don't watch a lot of shows i did watch yellow stone 1883 and that stuff
07:55have you dabbled in the new land man i do like lane man yeah like i saw you i watched all that i saw
08:00you and billy bob thorton on the red carpet that's cool right yeah had you met him before
08:04no i don't think so no did you get to talk to him very much yeah he was really it was it was we
08:09talked about uh his show and i mean about maha maybe doing a little bit of acting yeah you know
08:15you and billy bob not well we might i don't know i know that we talked about this the last time you
08:20were in here are you like is that something that is maybe going to happen soon it may have happened
08:24it may have happened yeah interesting yeah what else can you say about that well i don't know
08:29you don't know without getting us all in trouble yeah did you okay so i won't ask if i can ask what
08:34it is uh did you have to do like audition tapes for it like did you have to go audition tape for
08:39it i flew to where it was being gonna be filmed onto the set and read in person for the part was
08:46that nerve-wracking it was nerve-wracking because i've never done anything like that before yeah but
08:49actually it was it was better so i've read for some other parts but they've been on zoom
08:53uh-huh and that's such a weird that's hard because i read for a part one time that was a
08:58really like physically the guy was like freezing cold he'd been injured and he had and i had to
09:03act like that in a hotel room with people like just staring at me on the screen that was really
09:08tough and i felt like when i got into a set it would be a little easier yeah and it was it helped a lot
09:14and i knew the co-actor so there was somebody else in the scene with you too i was back and forth okay
09:22and i had a good rapport with that person so that helped a lot okay have you ever done any acting
09:26before like high school plays anything like that no no no i mean not no well why do you laugh like
09:32that there's nothing wrong with people who do plays in high school let me go ahead and start off by
09:35saying there's nothing wrong if you're in a high school play i actually i envy you oh okay
09:40uh i was pinocchio you're pinocchio when i was like seven six yeah exactly but you gotta think
09:46about this you know what the play was called pinocchio so you were you know i mean like think
09:51about that for a second you know like what kind of trajectory was i bet your grandmother was really
09:56proud of that one still talks about it oh my god you're insane all right what else can i ask you
10:01about this audition process oh well i know that whatever i ask you you'll probably answer in the
10:07it's a remake of point break i play keanu reeves wouldn't that be cool i'd like to be in that
10:14is it was it a part that like was the character very different from you let me ask you a question
10:18okay if they were remaking point break which you've seen who would be patrick swayze just think on it
10:27i'll come back and we can talk about it okay what was your question uh was the part like very
10:31different from who you are like did you have to like really uh there were some things i had to like
10:35study a little bit it wasn't like a crazy stretch but like i had to talk to people that were like in
10:42that world a little bit to like learn a little i mean i tried to do it right you know i mean i'm
10:46really trying to guess what this could have been tv show or movie tv show okay but you got the part
10:51i did you did okay so we'll just have to wait and see what that is yeah all right i feel like i've
10:56exhausted every question i can ask about that without asking what you know i just got the best idea
11:01when i go into interviews i don't have anything interesting to talk about just lie and let you
11:04like tiptoe ask all these questions that was like the most intense conversation we ever had
11:08was it i don't know your face was really like trying to figure out i was really trying to think
11:13of like what else i could ask you without saying what you thought the most in that conversation
11:16than you've ever had yeah i also need a 15 hour nap so that's probably why um all right so holidays
11:23around the corner we can talk about some holiday stuff while you're on the show um what kind of
11:27holiday shopper are you last very last minute i've gotten to be a very online holiday shopper
11:34which i hate because i feel like i'm a really good oh i need that you know like i'm good at
11:39finding stuff when i see it uh-huh and m is hard on amazon because they've got like a need it by 4am
11:45yeah with that if they also got like a oh you have a niece that's 12 you know like that category pops
11:51up i'm like well i could do that i got two of them yeah i just resort to if i run out of time
11:58i'm like here's cash oh yeah i do that a lot and i've like i bought my mom a car that's nice
12:03for christmas last year and if i get somebody something like that i just draw a picture of
12:09a car in the card and are you good at trying no no she's like what is this the most like blues
12:16clues looking car you've ever seen oh my god i think i saw you last year like right before you got
12:20your mom the car was she super excited she was i got this thing we do a christmas party a costume
12:26christmas party we had a costume party competition okay and mom won what was she she was the pigeon
12:34lady from home alone that's incredible it was honestly she was gonna win either way but i kept
12:40giving away prizes like second place got like a golf bag and third place and then she got a car
12:45because she won but she was gonna win anyway i wasn't giving a car to a stranger a friend of mine
12:50but she actually was the best costume she had little birds like on her that was really cool i have one
12:57of those next weekend and i'm gonna go as the leg lamp from a christmas story that's ironic i ordered
13:03a lampshade well i can tell you how to make the costume because my date for that party was the leg lamp
13:08are you serious yeah we made the leg lamp too how did you make it off out of a lampshade my mom's a
13:15like a seamstress ah easy she's a sweet lady uh no she is she's a seamstress and uh yeah because i
13:23spent about two hours looking for a lampshade the other day i was like measuring my waist i was like
13:27can this go across will that fit yeah i still don't really know what we had to do is we cut the
13:31lampshade and we took the little metal out of the top and the bottom circle uh-huh and then we added
13:36some fabric okay and then yeah it's gonna take me a trip to michael's i'm probably also gonna
13:41hobby lobby is where we got our stuff from you know the bad thing about her costume was i kept
13:45having to change the bulb out literally i don't know how many times that night i changed the bulb
13:49out it kept i hadn't even thought about putting a light in it no you gotta put a light in it you're
13:53right 100 but you gotta be careful what you wear under so anyway the little you were the last person
13:58that i thought was gonna have any advice about this man what did you dress as i was a cousin eddie
14:04that's a good one yeah all right i love that all right and then thinking about past christmas gifts
14:10what was like best gift santa ever brought you as a kid i probably should say guitar it's been the
14:14most i should say but yeah no i i was i really got excited about a drum set i got yeah can you play
14:21the drums well i don't know no i mean no probably not that feels like something you could add to your
14:26live show surprise everybody i feel like i used to do that i swapped my drummer he played a little guitar
14:30and we would uh but it's funny it's probably my favorite gift that i received was my least
14:36favorite gift that my parents gave me what drum set because they had me playing the drums all day
14:42long that really does especially if you're not good yes what does that movie love actually is it
14:47love actually where he's playing the drums like the entire movie and yeah i think so i think that's
14:51a very classic i haven't seen it what i'll put my eyelashes back on and watch it tonight you absolutely
14:56i can't believe you've never seen that movie wow that's insane cowboys it gets to her in 2026
15:00what are you excited about for that uh justin moore is coming out with me that's gonna be
15:04hilarious i've been a big fan of justin for a long time so that'll be he's really funny too
15:08yeah and i you know i know i come off really serious but i'm pretty goofy are you really i
15:13couldn't tell i like you cut up and uh that'll be fun i've been listening to justin forever and
15:18you're talking about somebody that's gonna play probably 45 minutes 60 minutes and he won't be
15:23able to play all of his hits like he's got so many hit songs he really does have so many really
15:27cool are you guys like adding any production elements or anything that you're excited about
15:30you like flying down from the ceiling like pyro or something yeah they wouldn't let me have no they
15:36wouldn't no there's no way i mean i wouldn't i wouldn't let me have it uh we were gonna add some
15:42like stage lighting and stuff like that but now i think i've got to get up eyelash person i'm going to
15:46hire another person to do my eyelashes there's a makeup artist that you can definitely pay to do that
15:50it's going to be expensive though yeah i don't we'll think about it we may do it you'll think
15:56about it uh with don't mind if i do headed to the top of the chart i know you just put out in the
16:01deluxe earlier this year of the album but is there going to be another single from the album or we
16:07might we might have another single from the album that's why i wondered if cowboys it gets since that
16:11was the name of the tour is that single gonna be smart the way you did that yeah i just you know
16:15there's it's when you name a tour you got to come up with the cool name okay that matters and i'd look
16:21at it like one it could be something that was a song so that worked there's one reason two something
16:26that would make good merch cowboys it gets that's pretty cool and then three would be a good name
16:32for a tour and that seems like a pretty good name for a tour so that's a good name for a tour okay it
16:36doesn't necessarily have to be a single okay but it could be you recorded that song with randy
16:41randall randall he's a good guy talk about working with randy randy's great he's one of
16:47the best voices in town uh and uh you know like every other collaboration or feature i've done it
16:54was kind of an accident we were at the beach and i was i listened to that song and i was like man
16:58you'd sound really good on this and i don't think i thought it through because it's horrible to have
17:03your voice on something with randy's because then he comes in everybody's like what why did you even
17:07sing this but uh really cool song and he did an awesome job with it been a fan of randy for a long
17:12time he's a great guy he has one of like the best giggles i think in country music it's like randy
17:17darius and i don't know who else would fall into that bucket but yeah no randy yeah i'll tell you
17:22who's got a pretty stout laugh who jamie johnson really i don't think i've ever seen jamie laugh he's
17:29like always so serious yeah you need to catch it's it's uh it doesn't happen often it's like in the
17:33clips but when it does don't look right at it oh my god that's hilarious what about new music have
17:39you been working on anything i have yeah i was gonna tell you about that tell me about it okay
17:43uh yeah we recorded some new songs okay and you're excited about it oh yeah i am okay what does what
17:51are these like new songs is there like a theme or a i don't want to get into all that no okay i mean
17:57yeah there's just country stuff i've uh i feel like there's some a little raw okay like a little
18:07rougher recordings which i really enjoy i think that was something we did right on this last album i was
18:11excited about going in the studio and doing a little less production kind of building around an
18:17acoustic track and that's literally what we did so yeah there's some stuff that i feel like
18:22is uh is a little different a little a little less produced which is kind of a direction i've
18:30wanted to go well that's exciting when might we hear those when you want to okay sounds great um
18:36and then also last question you just came out with duck club bourbon yeah a new venture talk about
18:41making a bourbon how fun was that it's great yeah you just got to try a whole bunch bourbon yeah right
18:46now i've got a bourbon that i can get for free and a bar that i can't get thrown out of you're really
