00:00Welcome to Ireland's Fittest Family.
00:03It's the second of our quarterfinals tonight and we're back in the bog in the gloriously mucky Hellenbach.
00:09Let's get stuck in.
00:12Come on, Mum.
00:13Come on!
00:15Let's go, go, go, go!
00:19You're there! You've only another few yards to go!
00:22Come on!
00:24You'll need it. Let's go, let's go!
00:25Daddy, no! Come on!
00:30Let's go, let's go!
01:00And Davy Fitzgerald's Macdonough's.
01:02But in tonight's second heat, Michael Dara will be going for the win with the Walsh's from Cork.
01:08Nothing fazes the Walsh's, let's be honest. They are ready for the bog. This is not a bother to them.
01:12They're up against Dunnicka's Lenehans, also from Cork.
01:15I'm all in with the Lenehans. This is my last family.
01:18And Andrew Trimble's Hilliards from Kildare.
01:20If it ends up an eliminator today, it'll be a better experience than last time.
01:24The quarterfinals roll on, and tonight we're back in the mud, sweat and mayhem of hell and back.
01:32The battle lines are drawn, but who's calling the shots?
01:34It's time to meet tonight's coaches.
01:37I assume that they're joining me down here, right?
01:39There's no way I came in here by myself.
01:40What?
01:44Ah, here we go. It's so good to have a professional back in the building.
01:48Good on you, potty.
01:48Totally cool, Colin.
01:50So is there something particularly unprofessional about us that you're so pleased that Dunnicka's back?
01:54Yeah, well actually, I can't eat my words because you are ahead in the game.
01:58I hate to point this out, right, Dunnars.
01:59Yeah, I'm down to one.
02:00You're down to one.
02:01And guess who else is also down to one?
02:02Michael Dara.
02:03Yes!
02:04And I just hate to point out the obvious here, but if you go, it's going to be really embarrassing
02:09because you're one of the original coaches.
02:11Yeah.
02:12It would be really bad to go.
02:13I'm here to remind you.
02:14We have no pressure, Dunnars.
02:15Of course.
02:16But honestly, Laura, if there was an event that suited me, like the bog is my personality.
02:21Saps the energy out of everyone.
02:22I thought it was dark and thick.
02:29Michael Dara, you might have a bit of an advantage on Dunnars.
02:33Dunnars, we have done bog jog before, but we've never done battle on the bog.
02:36You guys have.
02:37Do you think you've got a bit of an advantage there?
02:39So 100% lessons were learned last week.
02:41So we're going to bring that little bit of expertise into it this week, I think.
02:45Andrew, I probably don't even really need to talk to you, but are you feeling a little
02:48bit cocky going into this?
02:49Yeah, a little bit.
02:50Probably learned a few things last time around.
02:52I mean, that is a contact sport in there.
02:54Yeah.
02:54So, I mean, use anything you can get your foot on and use other families as leverage.
02:59That's the advice I'm giving them.
03:00I like to know your tactic.
03:01Well, maybe don't tell them to Dunnars because he will steal your secrets because he is trying
03:05to hold on to your life.
03:06Speaking of stealing, can I borrow your runners?
03:08Do you know, you probably would need them.
03:10Yeah, cheers.
03:10Yeah, yeah.
03:10Okay, I'll swap them now.
03:11Actually, we'll do it over here in a second.
03:12Yeah, please.
03:13Yeah, okay, great.
03:13So, I'll see you later.
03:14Best of luck.
03:15Laura, that one stinks a bit, but it's not bad.
03:17Here's how the quarterfinals work.
03:20Tonight, our three families will take on Battle of the Bog, and then each will take on a time
03:25trial, the lung-busting all tired out.
03:28In each event, they'll be awarded three points for first place, two points for second, and
03:34one point for third.
03:35The points are then added together, and the top family will go straight through to the
03:40semifinal.
03:41The bottom two families will have to face it off in the Eliminator to see who else gets
03:46a place in our semifinal.
03:47Yeah, I'm nearly done.
03:54Oh, no.
03:54Oh, no.
03:56We're diving.
03:58We're diving straight into the chaos here tonight.
04:01Welcome to the muddiest, most miserable race in all of Ireland.
04:06This is Battle of the Bog.
04:12This is a three-family relay race where two members of each family start Battle of the
04:16Bog with a cold, watery cargo-neck crawl, followed by an A-frame climb.
04:21From here, the family pairs must work together as they begin to navigate the muddy bog.
04:26A series of under-and-over logs of different heights and sizes await before plunging back
04:31into the deepest, muddiest, longest, and most draining part of the course.
04:35Next, they have to climb the ladder before sprinting to the finish line.
04:39When the family pair are standing on the pallet, the next two from the family can start the
04:43race following the same route.
04:44The clock only stops when all four family members are standing on the pallet.
04:48We're just after walking through the event.
04:52Lenehans are nervous, of course.
04:54This is a nasty one.
04:55People have no idea how difficult it is.
04:58There's going to be chaos in here.
04:59It's going to be madness.
05:00It really is.
05:01But we have to look out for each other.
05:04But I think it's more Christine Aguilera.
05:06It's time to get dirty.
05:07And the Lenehans are up for it.
05:09Donnick is looking forward to it a lot more than us, I suppose.
05:12He's on the sidelines.
05:13He doesn't have to jump into the bog.
05:14I'm bracing myself for a pretty cold and uncomfortable three or four minutes.
05:18Hopefully three minutes rather than four.
05:21It's going to be a slog here.
05:22And then you're going to see the promised land.
05:25And once you get to there, it's game over.
05:26And it's a sprint out.
05:28If confidence is a superpower, we'll be fine.
05:31But if physicality is a superpower we need, well, then we could be going home today.
05:36So it'll be no bother to us at all.
05:37No game plan.
05:38Just sheer arrogance.
05:40We'll be fine.
05:40No, we've no issues here.
05:42We're made for this.
05:43We love a bit of horseplay and a bit of muck.
05:45The Walters, as you've probably seen, are full of beans.
05:48So they're ready to roll.
05:50And there won't be much stopping them today.
05:53Like the start.
05:54But really it's this last kind of what, 20, 25 meters.
05:59That's where it's won and lost.
06:00And that's where everything slows down.
06:02Your life flashes before your eyes.
06:04And your life seems to take a lot longer than it does normally.
06:07We've just seen the bog now for Battle of the Bog.
06:10And I think it's probably worse than I imagine.
06:13I think there's nervous excitement in the air.
06:16I think the more clothing you wear, the more you could get bogged down.
06:20And that's kind of the advice that Andrew said.
06:21Like going naked through the bog is a different show.
06:24That, you know, maybe RTE aren't interested in showing.
06:26But, I mean, it'd be a fun show.
06:28On the start line and ready to go are Julie and Ellen Hilliard.
06:34Aidan and Michael Walsh.
06:36And Sean and Ava Linehan.
06:37Three, two, one.
06:40Let's go.
06:41The second quarterfinal begins.
06:44And they're into the water straight away.
06:47This is the comfortable part of the course, if there is such a thing.
06:49Brilliant, Sean.
06:50So the Walsh is in green out in front.
06:52The Hilliards in gold and the Linehans in yellow.
06:57That's Sean Linehan in front.
06:59Just going back to pick up Ava.
07:03So the terrain is getting a little more difficult.
07:07There's still plenty of water there, as you can see.
07:08Not a lot of muck.
07:11So the Walsh family in green.
07:13It's Michael Dara's last family.
07:15The Linehans in yellow.
07:16Doneka's last family.
07:17So there's a fair degree of pressure on both coaches to get their families through.
07:24That's all very tight between the Linehans and the Hilliards.
07:27Aidan Walsh is out in front.
07:28And his brother Michael isn't too far behind.
07:30It's a lot closer between the Hilliards and the Linehans.
07:33There you can see the Walsh boys going well.
07:36It'll start to slow down, you think, from here.
07:41So there's good teamwork between Julie and Ellen Hilliard.
07:44From County Kildare for Andrew Trimble.
07:46The Walsh boys are still in front.
07:48It's slowing a little bit.
07:50So the Linehans in second place.
07:52The Hilliards are in third at the moment.
07:54Sean and Ava Linehan.
07:58Under the watchful eye of Doneko Camerhan.
08:01So there isn't much between them, as you can see.
08:05The battle for second and third.
08:08And now this is getting very interesting.
08:11And very muddy.
08:13Very slutty.
08:13So the Hilliards having a little problem there.
08:18And that has allowed the Linehans to move away from them.
08:21But the Walshs are flying it.
08:24That's it, that's it.
08:24Keep going.
08:25With all the flies around.
08:26Tell them back.
08:27Come on, mate.
08:28Come on, mate.
08:28So they're very nearly at the ladder, which will take them out of the ball.
08:33The Hilliards closing on the Linehans again.
08:34Go on, go, go.
08:35So here come the Walsh boys.
08:38And one on the platform and the other.
08:40Aidan and Michael have done a very good job.
08:42Alfie and Amy can start now down at the other end of the course.
08:45Here they come.
08:46So the Walsh family have the lead.
08:50Well done, well done.
08:50Come on, you've got to find something, Ava.
08:52You've got to move your legs.
08:53Come on.
08:55Ava, hurry.
08:56Get to the edge.
08:57Get your hands.
08:58Come on, Ava.
08:59Stop feeling sorry for yourself.
09:00Work.
09:01There are problems for the Linehans here.
09:02Come on, Sean.
09:03Well, they'll get to the edge.
09:04Close to the end of the course.
09:06Keep working, Ava.
09:06Let's go, Alan.
09:07Julia, keep it going.
09:08And Ava's got stuck very badly stuck.
09:10Push off the edge.
09:11It's an opportunity for the Hilliards, for Julia and Ellen.
09:13Big effort.
09:14To perhaps overtake them and move into second place.
09:16Give her a hand if she needs it.
09:18So Alfie and his mum, Amy, working hard down at the other end of the course.
09:22The Linehans will be out in second place.
09:24You've 10 seconds of work and you're done.
09:27Sean and Ava.
09:28Ava's first to the top of the ladder.
09:30She's only 18, studying for her leaving cert.
09:33Sean is 19 just behind her.
09:35So they are in second.
09:37And now it's down to Diarmuid and Rory.
09:39Here they come.
09:41Let's go.
09:41Keep it going.
09:42Keep it going.
09:44So Dad, Diarmuid, and his son, Rory, he's only 16 years of age, the youngest in this quarterfinal.
09:49That's it.
09:50Well done.
09:51The Walsh is still leading.
09:53I'll be just going back to help his mum, Amy, who's finding that difficult.
09:58They've got to go under that log.
10:00So Diarmuid and Rory, second place for the Linehans.
10:05That's Rory out in front and his dad just behind him.
10:11Come on, Diarmuid!
10:11Oh, my day in killer ruddery.
10:13That's it.
10:14What's that?
10:14This is anything but lovely.
10:16And the Hilliards are still badly stuck.
10:19Julia and Ellen.
10:23Alfie and Amy.
10:24Oh, they've got to go over that log.
10:27Anyway, we'll do.
10:28And now Alfie helping his mum.
10:30Be careful, careful, careful.
10:31Be careful his right.
10:33Oh, my word.
10:33Well, look, that worked.
10:34There you go.
10:35Dear man!
10:35Not the most comfortable, but it did work.
10:39Now Rory Linehan getting stuck in the mud.
10:43Diarmuid is there behind him.
10:44He tried to leap through that.
10:46So the Walshs are in first place still.
10:49But it is slowing and it's a battle.
10:53Alfie dragging Amy along.
10:55So here come the Hilliards.
10:56They've got out of the bog.
10:59They're in third place.
11:00Mel and Alana.
11:04Last to go.
11:06Here they come.
11:08Let's see what they can do.
11:08Under, under, under.
11:10Constantly helping.
11:11Stay shoulder to shoulder.
11:12This is it now.
11:13This is the tough part.
11:13Let's go.
11:14So Michael Darragh pre-empting what Alfie and Amy have ahead of them.
11:17Come on, fella.
11:18Come on.
11:18I need you here big time, yeah?
11:20The Linehan still in second place.
11:21That's Diarmuid over.
11:22First Rory just behind him.
11:25We're going to head down.
11:25Threw through it.
11:26Keep moving.
11:26Now the Walshs have picked a particular line over the front.
11:30Far side of that trench.
11:32Keep going, keep going, keep going.
11:33And you can get lucky or unlucky with these things.
11:35But look at the Linehans now.
11:37They've picked a different line.
11:38Threw the back of their closing on the Walsh family.
11:43Everybody getting involved in it now as the tension builds.
11:46And I tell you what, the Linehans are closing on the Walshs as the battle for first place heats up.
11:51The Hilliards still working away and working well.
11:55They're in third.
11:56But the Walshs, wow.
11:58Alfie's just got totally stuck.
11:59Almost completely submerged.
12:01And he can't watch.
12:02He's trying to drag himself along the top.
12:04Come on, dear men.
12:04Come on.
12:06Let's go, Linehans.
12:07Rory, get inside.
12:08So Dunica wants the Linehans to push on.
12:11And look how close they are.
12:13Can they get an overtake here right at the end?
12:15To snatch first place.
12:19So Alfie Walsh is there in front in the green.
12:21Well, what you can see in the green is mum, Amy, is just behind.
12:24And the Linehans are closing with every single step.
12:28Look at this.
12:28They're right beside each other, neck and neck.
12:30Alfie trying to drag his mum to the finish line.
12:33The Hilliards not out of this yet.
12:34They're a little bit further down the course.
12:36But you never know.
12:37Yeah, well done, Gustav, well done.
12:40So that is Alana who's helped over.
12:42And look at this.
12:42Well, somehow Alfie Walsh has managed to get out of the bog.
12:45He's got Amy with him.
12:47The Linehans are still stuck back there.
12:49They gave it absolutely everything.
12:50But they're exhausted.
12:51But this is for first place.
12:53Alfie and Amy out of the bog.
12:54And here they come.
12:55They're going to claim first place.
12:57The Linehans just a little bit behind.
12:59But that's a super start to the quarterfinal for the Walsh family.
13:02What a race, though.
13:02It went right down to the wire.
13:04And look at Michael Dara McCauley.
13:06He looks really satisfied with what he's just seen.
13:08The Linehan family, they are claiming second place.
13:11They gave it the lot, didn't they?
13:13Well done, guys.
13:14Yeah, nice.
13:16But Mel and Alana Hilliard pushed as hard as they could.
13:19But they're now finding this very, very tough.
13:21They have to finish it out to claim one point for third place.
13:24I think they were looking to each other for help.
13:26But both of them were helpless.
13:27The thing is, when you stop moving, then you can't get moving again.
13:31It's next to impossible.
13:33Showed a bit of character, grits, dug in and got the job done in the end.
13:36Andrew, you probably felt quite helpless.
13:38On the sidelines there.
13:39Because there is nothing that you can do.
13:42Because it's such an unnatural experience to be that deep in that mud.
13:45Yeah, and I wanted to get kind of the balance of, I wanted to be honest.
13:49Yeah.
13:49But not too honest.
13:50Like, we're not in good shape here.
13:52And the girls, like Julia, at one stage, looked up and said, I'm sorry, Andrew.
13:57I'm like, I know.
13:59I was going, I'm so sorry if I've put you guys under that pressure.
14:03Regardless, there's a point on the board there for you guys.
14:05You did finish.
14:06And that can't make the world of difference when we get into this afternoon's events, right?
14:10Danica and Michael Dara have kind of done a bit of a job on me.
14:14So I need to dig deep and find something.
14:16A way of getting back at them.
14:18I think we did that as well as we possibly could.
14:21I'm delighted with the Lennons.
14:22They gave it everything.
14:23We came second.
14:24We have a chance in the next event.
14:25I mean, it was neck and neck, yeah.
14:27In the end, Rory and Dad almost did get them.
14:29So no, definitely with the tail trim, we'll give it our best shot.
14:32And I think we do definitely have a good chance.
14:33Well, well, well.
14:35Michael Dara and the Walshs.
14:36Yeah, no, I might save that for later.
14:39Do you know what's mad?
14:39Davy Fitz isn't here today, but somehow the levels were still as high.
14:44I could hear you from a mile off, screaming at your poor ma'am.
14:47Tears in your eyes when you finished that one.
14:49Was there tears of joy?
14:50Definitely joy.
14:51Yeah, that was really hard.
14:53Yeah.
14:53It was, I could hear the boys and...
14:55I think I showed a bit too low of that.
14:58Well, you definitely weren't motivating.
14:59Yeah.
15:00No, that was hard.
15:01Yeah.
15:01Michael Dara, sensational performance.
15:04You must be feeling good.
15:05So good, so good, yeah.
15:06I was asking Amy, where's that rank?
15:07Like, how tough was that?
15:08She's like, I raised these three fellas.
15:09This is a walk in the park.
15:11Look, you're in a good position, but there still has to be a few nerves there, is there?
15:15I'm actually getting a bit cold now.
15:16I was waiting up here by myself for, I'd say, a good two minutes.
15:20Yeah.
15:20But it's too easy.
15:22Well, look it, congratulations.
15:24Well done.
15:25Get yourselves washed up, and then I'll come back and talk to you again later, all right?
15:28Cheers.
15:29So, after our first event, Michael Dara's Walsh's have three points, Donika's Linehan's have
15:37two points, and Andrews Hilliard's earned last place with one point.
15:41We're in hell and back for Ireland's fittest family, and before the break, things got mucky.
16:09Michael Dara's watchers crawled their way out of the bog to victory, while Andrews Hilliard's
16:15trudged their way into third place.
16:17But don't worry, there's plenty of time for fortunes to flip.
16:21All Tired Out is back, but now it's a time trial requires a lot of time to get back to work.
16:28All Tired Out is back.
16:29All Tired Out is back, but now it's a time trial requiring speed, agility, and endurance.
16:36This leg-burning event begins with all four family members on a straw bale.
16:58Each one must run up the hill through a series of tyre obstacles and tackle the overs, unders,
17:03and crawls.
17:05Then, it's a scramble over a two-metre tyre wall and up onto a straw bale.
17:10When they're standing on two feet, the next family member is released to start the course.
17:14The clock stops when all four family members are standing on the bale.
17:17The fastest time takes top points in All Tired Out.
17:21Earlier in the week, Andrew took the Hilliards on a climbing adventure to work on their confidence.
17:29Oh, my God.
17:30Yeah, here we go.
17:31This is incredible.
17:33We're going to walk before we can run.
17:36So, we're just going to start with, if we can get to the summit of this pyramid,
17:41and if you get to the top of that, then I feel like then, you know, we can move on to the next level.
17:45What do you think?
17:46With what happened in the last round in the Eliminator, we all dug deep,
17:50it kind of felt like, you know, confidence was a little bit of a low.
17:54It was just a shame that it kind of finished that way.
17:56If we end up in the same position again, if we're kind of holding on to the ramp,
18:00and just we need to kind of wrestle and climb and find ways to get each other up there,
18:03then we might learn something here.
18:05And then, more importantly, let's just get feeling good.
18:07Let's do something challenging.
18:09Let's get back feeling confident again.
18:11Andrew's advice to us has been to trust in ourselves and to be a little bit more confident.
18:15So, I think that was a great decision by him to bring us to the climbing centre today,
18:18just to work out our confidence a little bit more.
18:22I just love the idea of us getting to the Eliminator.
18:25The last person's getting up and they just find a wee learning from today,
18:30and they just find a hook, and they just find some technique and manage to get across the line.
18:34That was really tough.
18:36I think we're about to win there, are we?
18:37Yeah, I could say bye to Andrew.
18:39I should say goodbye to Andrew, yeah.
18:41Is he around somewhere?
18:43Anything the same?
18:44No.
18:44Andrew and the Hilliards, here we go.
18:50We've got a big race in All Tired Out.
18:52How are you feeling?
18:53We're fired up and excited about it, yeah.
18:55Who's going first?
18:56I'm going to go first.
18:57We kind of decided to go by age, so I'm not sure if that's a good idea.
19:02Yeah.
19:02So you're the sacrificial lamb?
19:03Exactly.
19:04Yeah, okay.
19:04Just like in life, I suppose, throughout the family.
19:06Exactly.
19:07The very best of luck.
19:09Run like the clappers, all right?
19:10See you later.
19:11Just get through this kind of unscathed, I think would be my message to them.
19:15Sometimes slow and steady is the way to go.
19:19So here are the Hilliards.
19:20Mel, Alana, Julia and Ellen.
19:26First to go and all tired out.
19:30And the Hilliards from County Kildare need a big showing here.
19:34They were last in Battle of the Bog.
19:37So Mel is first to go.
19:38That's nicely done.
19:39That's the technique.
19:40Nice, Mel.
19:41Good stop.
19:42Andrew Trimble is always very, very calm.
19:47I wonder if this event break his inner zen a little bit.
19:51I don't know.
19:51But this is a good start by Mel, isn't it?
19:54Flying over and under those tyre obstacles.
20:00A big start from Mel.
20:03Well done.
20:04He's on the joints.
20:05A very talented runner.
20:07Spot on.
20:08And now here, well, you can do this various ways.
20:11Down inside the tyre or just jump on the rims, which he's doing.
20:16And then moving between them.
20:18And this tyre wall is two metres high.
20:20And we're approaching a minute and a half.
20:22This is good.
20:23This is good.
20:24It feels quick, doesn't it, from Mel Hilliard.
20:27So once he stands up on that bail, Alana can start.
20:31Alana running the second leg.
20:36She's a big runner as well.
20:38Herself and Julia into quest races.
20:42Mel looking a little tired.
20:44That's understandable.
20:44Nice.
20:44Well done, Alana.
20:46More support from Andrew Trimble.
20:48Keep it going.
20:49Nice and steady.
20:49Yeah, good stuff.
20:51Nice and steady.
20:52Keep it going.
20:52It is a steady pace from Alana Hilliard.
20:57There is pressure on them to perform here.
20:59Yeah, good stuff.
21:00Having finished last in event one.
21:05So these big tyres, or there's a bit of a slip from Alana Hilliard.
21:09You got it, come on.
21:12Nothing in this is straightforward.
21:14And, yeah, she's got over it at the second attempt.
21:17Well done.
21:20Yeah, yeah, all good, all good.
21:21Now, she's going in and out of those tyres.
21:24You heard Andrew say that if she wants to go across the top of them,
21:27they were firmer on this near side.
21:28Now she's moved over to the near side.
21:32But that is very deliberate from Alana Hilliard.
21:36They have almost made it to halfway.
21:42Alana is losing a little bit of time.
21:44Over four minutes now.
21:47They will set the target for the rest to try.
21:49And beats.
21:51Next, it is Julia.
21:53Come on, Julia.
21:53Let's go, Julia.
21:55So, Julia into that trench underneath the cargo net.
21:59That's it.
21:59Yeah, perfect.
22:00That's it.
22:00That's it.
22:00That's very quick, isn't it?
22:02Just like her dad.
22:03She obviously saw what Mel did earlier on.
22:05Just to keep her arms straight going underneath that.
22:06And there's advice for Ellen coming behind her as well.
22:11To use her right arm to hold up the net.
22:15Yeah, perfect.
22:15That's it.
22:16We've seen they do work well together.
22:19Yeah, good stuff.
22:20And that's good from Julia.
22:22Left-hand side to confirm.
22:24Now to the tyre floor.
22:26Yeah, nice.
22:27That's great, Julia.
22:28My knee-hand goes too easy.
22:30Andrew is still very calm.
22:32Well done.
22:32That was super quick.
22:34So, approaching six minutes.
22:35Yeah, well done, Julia.
22:36This is great.
22:37And it is great from Julia Hilliard over the top of the wall.
22:42Hello, me there.
22:45It's risky to jump off it, so she's right to take her time.
22:48So, three out of four.
22:49Last leg will be run by Ellen Hilliard.
22:53They went climbing with Andrew, as you've seen.
22:58And she just got a little stuck there to boost their confidence.
23:02And this is a confident performance from the Hilliards.
23:06Noise of the drone following her.
23:12So, Ellen is the youngest of the family.
23:14She's 23.
23:17Have they saved the best till last?
23:20So, in through those tyres.
23:23Middle tyre here, Ellen.
23:25And it's the final charge.
23:28Yeah, very solid there, Ellen.
23:33And now, over these tyres.
23:37And she has picked that line that Andrew suggested earlier on.
23:40Where she can walk over the top of it, because the rims are firmer.
23:45So, approaching eight minutes.
23:47Yeah, lovely.
23:47Well done.
23:48Let's go.
23:49Finish strong.
23:50It is tough to do this course on your own.
23:52We've seen it as a family event where they're all together.
23:57So, Ellen just taking care over the top of the wall.
24:02And here she comes.
24:03So, this will be the time for the rest to try and beat.
24:07They were last in event one.
24:08This needs to be a good time.
24:09It's a really solid performance.
24:11Eight minutes and 15 seconds for the Hilliards.
24:13Well done, Ellen.
24:14Well done.
24:17My dad is amazing.
24:18He's so fast.
24:20So, I think that event really suited him.
24:22And he was able to get up and over everything.
24:25So, yeah.
24:25No, he did.
24:26He did that.
24:26And that.
24:27Andrew, do you think that the Hilliards have done enough to avoid an Eliminator?
24:30All we could do is the best we could do.
24:31Went at it hard.
24:32And it's nice just to finish an event.
24:35Like the Eliminator last time.
24:36Kind of finished on a difficult note.
24:38This morning in the mud, finished on a difficult note.
24:39So, it's nice to get that feel good.
24:41Everybody's smiling.
24:42Everybody's having a good time.
24:43And I think it feels like there's a bit of a Hilliard swagger.
24:46Yeah.
24:46Yeah, we like the Hilliard swagger.
24:48We enjoyed that.
24:49And it's put us in good spirit.
24:53This week, Michael Darragh hit the road and caught up with the Walshes.
24:57Well, hey, though.
24:59How's the man?
25:01Amy.
25:02Good to see you.
25:02Give me a hug.
25:03Great to see us.
25:05Today, we are down in Loch Derbe.
25:07We brought the Walsh family down to get comfortable in the water.
25:10Have a bit of a splash.
25:11And have a little bit of crack as well.
25:13Well, I think the last day, poor old Amy was struggling.
25:15So, this is Amy's comfort zone here, in a kayak, in a lake.
25:19Today, it's Amy's day to shine.
25:23I love being in the water.
25:24The water is my happy place.
25:26I work within a lot of groups and I take people on the water.
25:28It has an incredible effect on mental health.
25:31It's a wonderful space for people to be in.
25:33The lads are messengers.
25:42I didn't see that at all.
25:43Where were you looking?
25:44Do you know what it is, though?
25:56I dragged them through mountains and kayaking for years, and it was just their payback time
26:02to drag me back into the water.
26:06I'm walking.
26:07Can you?
26:08The lads are always hurting Amy.
26:09I think that's how poor Amy lives.
26:12You're never too old to splash and mess and push.
26:14If you asked me about two months ago, how'd she gotten it, I'd say, oh, not a prayer.
26:20But, yeah, she surprised all of us, and I'd say all of us, we couldn't be more proud of her.
26:27Okay, Walsh's, here we are, all tired out.
26:29We've probably seen this on the telly before, right?
26:31So, this is just you against yourself, going straight from A to B as quick as possible.
26:36There's no big science to this.
26:37Sure, our first time trial, a second, one second is all that did it.
26:41So, whatever it takes, up Adam.
26:42Sinead, can you how you live, lads?
26:43Let's go.
26:43I've got a real nugget.
26:45Pressure's for tyres.
26:46There's no pressure on us at all.
26:47I had a big bowl of confidence for breakfast, and it's still digesting.
26:52I don't want to rely on the lads having to make up for me.
26:57We walk through it all with Amy to make sure she's comfortable with everything.
26:59She's okay.
27:00And if something happens, if you trip, if you fall, just get on up.
27:05Keep on moving.
27:08So, for the Walsh family, it is Michael, Alfie, Amy, and Aidan.
27:12Keep it, Aidan.
27:14Keep it, Aidan.
27:14Keep it, Aidan.
27:15Let's go.
27:15Second to go, and all tired out.
27:18And Aidan is first to take this on.
27:23They won the first event today.
27:27And Aidan has started quickly.
27:28The time to beat is 8 minutes and 15 seconds by the Hilliards.
27:32So, Aidan, wow, he's going along very quickly, isn't he?
27:37Just leaping over those tyres and that log.
27:41This is some opening from Aidan Walsh.
27:44Let's open it out.
27:45Open it out.
27:45Like the other two brothers, Big GA man.
27:47On there, on there, on there, on there.
27:48Football burling.
27:49There you go, there you go.
27:50Into swimming and surfing.
27:51Now, let's go, let's go.
27:52And as you can see, the gym and running.
27:54He kind of ticks all the boxes, doesn't he?
27:56Head down, head down, head down.
27:57He's only 20 years of age.
27:59Let's finish this.
28:00We need a few extra seconds.
28:01We need a few extra seconds.
28:02And they are the biggest tyres of the lot.
28:04And now he's at this tyre floor, gliding over the rims.
28:08Now he's got his feet in between those tyres.
28:10Line of fries, line of fries, let's go.
28:14So, just over a minute gone.
28:16Come on, every second, every second, let's go, let's go.
28:17So, the members of the family can repeat that kind of time.
28:20He jumps off the top of the wall.
28:21Well, they'll be comfortably ahead of the Hilliards, but we'll see.
28:24So, one out of four.
28:25And here comes Amy.
28:30She's second to go for the Walsh family.
28:33So, Amy crouching down low.
28:36And she has got away from that cargo net.
28:40Michael Zara arrives for some support.
28:46So, Alfie and Michael still waiting to take on, all tired out.
28:50So, Amy just making sure of these particular set of tyres.
29:01That's the finish line.
29:02That's the finish line.
29:03Let's go.
29:04She's got over and the finish line is in sight.
29:06It's very easy to lose your footing.
29:12It's very deliberate from Amy driving the legs as she picks a line through that tyre floor.
29:21So, very nearly done.
29:22Michael Zara has been very good with her all the way through this.
29:26So, they're over the four-minute mark.
29:28There you go.
29:29That's it.
29:29Super, super.
29:30Hand down, hand down.
29:31You can jump off.
29:31With her two sons still to go.
29:34Let's go.
29:34Let's go.
29:35Let's go.
29:35So, Amy will be helped up on top of the bale by Aiden.
29:38Let's go.
29:39Let's go.
29:39So, they're halfway there and here comes Alfie.
29:42He's the youngest son, only 18 years of age and Alfie is a man in a hurry.
29:49Kept the head down and leaping over those tyres and over that log.
29:55This is quick.
29:56Here we go.
29:57Here we go.
29:57Here we go.
29:57Look at him go.
30:00Curdling over that at the log.
30:03This one, he just drives the legs over the top of that.
30:06That's not easy at all.
30:07Come on out.
30:09So, now Alfie in sight of Amy and Aiden.
30:14This is really quick.
30:17Sensational performance from Alfie Walsh.
30:21Don't waste a second.
30:22And then jump off the wall.
30:23Don't waste a second.
30:24He's been told to jump off the top of the wall.
30:27Okay, he's done that.
30:29So, third of the Walsh is home and last to go is Michael.
30:35Michael driving in and now down low underneath the net.
30:39Eight minutes and 15 seconds is the time they have to try and better.
30:49And Michael getting massive encouragement from the finish line from Aiden, Amy and Alfie.
30:54Don't even think of a difference.
30:55Don't even think of a difference.
30:55Run through.
30:56Run through.
30:57So, he's very nearly there.
30:58Hammer through.
30:59Hammer through.
30:59Hammer through.
30:59Can't afford a mistake here.
31:00Michael Daryl McCauley tells him to hammer through and he is doing that.
31:04This is some performance.
31:07Every second.
31:07Every second.
31:07They really have taken this on.
31:09Every second.
31:10Every second.
31:10Get up.
31:11With great gusto.
31:12Get up.
31:13Get up.
31:14Get up.
31:14These are the final seconds for the Walsh family from Cork.
31:17Michael leaps off the top of the wall.
31:19They'll get him up here as quickly as possible.
31:21The new leader.
31:22Seven minutes and one seconds.
31:23That is some performance.
31:25Big up, son.
31:26Big up.
31:26Give me ears there.
31:27Oh, my God.
31:29Hold on.
31:30It actually wasn't a hard course.
31:32I think it was just the fact that you had to go, go, go, go.
31:36Kind of 50-50, but I'm going to stay confident because, like, we are the best team here.
31:40And I suppose if you're not first, you're last.
31:42Michael Daryl, are you really proud of Amy and the lads?
31:45Didn't stop moving once.
31:46Yeah.
31:46Like, just kept going, kept going, kept going.
31:48So, 100%.
31:49Like, that time is hard bet.
31:50I have no idea what time that was.
31:51That was hard bet.
31:52So, I think we're in the mix.
31:54We're in the mix.
31:54There was no one fell off anything or twisted anything.
31:57So, no, we were in the mix right to the end.
31:58And finally, Donnicka lined up a surprise day out for his family, the Linehans.
32:03Here with the Linehans, we are at foot golf.
32:06Golf, with your feet.
32:08Dermot is into golf and all the rest of us are into football.
32:12So, it was the perfect mix.
32:13Donnicka had promised he'd carry my clothes on the golf course the next time we got together.
32:18And we end up playing foot golf.
32:20Donnicka, you owe me one.
32:22We were delighted to have another day with Donnicka.
32:24I think a big thing for me with my family is to spend time with him
32:28and to start enjoying each other's company.
32:30There you go.
32:31That's how you should play it.
32:32If we can be a family that look out for each other, have each other's back,
32:36I think we could go a long way.
32:38Teamwork is the most important part.
32:40Like, you can be the fittest, the strongest family,
32:41but if you don't work as a youth, you've no chance to really like.
32:44Yeah, I'm really excited for the quarterfinals.
32:46I think Donnicka will definitely push us and we're training away,
32:49so hopefully we can do well.
32:51Lenehans, a great morning, but I think it's too slow-paced.
32:54I think we're going to up it for this hole.
32:56Full contact, as fast as you can, ball in the hole.
32:59First there wins.
33:00Let's do it.
33:01Truth is, going into the quarterfinals with the Lenehans, I'm all in.
33:05They're my only family left, so I have to bring my best.
33:08I was disappointed with how I went coaching-wise early on for them,
33:11but I think we found a lovely spot in the last few events.
33:14We go into the quarterfinals, we know we have to perform well,
33:17but I can't wait to win with the Lenehans.
33:20Up, the Rebels, Abu! Come on, the Lenehans!
33:25OK, Lenehans, here we go, into the time trial.
33:28Really important one for us.
33:30I want to come up with the best form and the best order,
33:33but Diermaud, I want you to go first.
33:35What I want you to do is show everyone else the way.
33:38OK.
33:38And your time, everyone else is going to compete with.
33:41I'm down to one family, so going into the Eliminator,
33:44that is jeopardy that I don't want to have, especially this week.
33:47We just about didn't win the last one, so hopefully we can win this one.
33:51So, for the Lenehans, it's Dad Diermaud, Rory, Ava and Sean.
33:59Three, two, one!
34:04The Lenehans were second in event one.
34:07Well done, boy. Head down now, head down and back.
34:09And seven minutes and one second is the time they have to try and beat.
34:13Brilliant. Well done, boy. Now go, go, go. Here you go.
34:17Bit of pace here now, yeah?
34:18So, Diermaud, first to go.
34:20As we know, he's a big golfer.
34:22Never mind them. No, you're doing great, my man. Brilliant.
34:25Come on, Diermaud.
34:26That's a good start. That's a very good start by Diermaud Lenehan.
34:29Up and over. Brilliant, Diermaud. Come on.
34:31The Lenehans are done with his last family in the competition.
34:35Just go, go, go.
34:37As one of the original coaches, he does not want to be out tonight.
34:40Work, work, work, work.
34:42As quick as you can, oh, yeah?
34:44Diermaud Lenehan has made a very strong start.
34:47Come on, brilliant.
34:48Over the top of those tyres, just making sure of his footing.
34:52Outstanding.
34:53As sure as you can be, this is an outstanding performance from Diermaud Lenehan.
34:57Like a ladder, yeah? Rip it up.
34:58Giving his family every chance of putting real pressure on the Walsh's time of seven minutes and one second.
35:04This is quick.
35:05This is impressive from Diermaud Lenehan.
35:08You can hear the tension in Dunnegan's voice.
35:11Come on, come on. Well done.
35:13So now it is Sean.
35:16Sean is 19 years of age.
35:19Oh, and Sean's got caught in the net.
35:21The camera's got caught in the net.
35:22That is not good at all.
35:24And he needs to get the helmet back on.
35:25Approaching two minutes there.
35:28The helmet goes back on.
35:29I wonder will that impede in between now and the end?
35:33Will it have cost them time?
35:34Well, actually, the helmet's on back to front.
35:36You can see the camera facing the wrong way.
35:39But do you know what?
35:40Sean isn't one bit bothered.
35:42He's got over that little error at the start.
35:45And he's powering towards the finish line.
35:49So Sean really driving on.
35:53This is quick.
35:54A bandage on his right knee as well.
35:56There's a few things working against Sean Lenehan here.
35:59But he doesn't care.
36:00One iota.
36:01Here he is at the wall.
36:02Keep seven minutes and one second in your mind.
36:08So Sean is in now with his dad, Dermot.
36:11He had a lot of stuff to deal with there.
36:13Three minutes on the clock now as 18-year-old Ava Lenehan goes.
36:19Certainly keeping the head down.
36:20Very careful not to catch the camera on the net.
36:22She hit her left shoulder on that log there as she came out.
36:26All sorts of stuff happening with the Lenehans here.
36:28But there's a good pace.
36:30A very good pace from Ava.
36:34Ava's played underage football soccer for Cork.
36:41So over the top of those tyres.
36:46This is really good.
36:50So Ava.
36:54She is a superstar, isn't she?
36:56Donica absolutely delights it.
36:58There is last family.
37:00Ava Lenehan over the top of the tyre wall.
37:04Drops down and a little bit of a slip as well.
37:06She gave that absolutely everything.
37:08Last to go is the youngest member of their family.
37:11Here's Rory.
37:12He's only 16.
37:15And that's a brisk start from him.
37:17Come on, Rory.
37:17Well done, up and over.
37:18Well done.
37:19He is flying over those two sets of tyres.
37:23Now down through that one.
37:24Well done.
37:25The rest of the family waiting with bated breath.
37:29Well, they're out of breath anyway.
37:30Here comes Rory.
37:32That's something else, isn't it?
37:35He's just running on normal terrain.
37:37A little bit of a stumble there from Rory.
37:39But he's been really quick.
37:41And the time is fantastic.
37:42The Lenehan's about to win.
37:44All tired out.
37:45Get him up!
37:46Quite a display.
37:47Very, very impressive.
37:49Five minutes and 47 seconds.
37:51Will that be enough to put them into the semi-final?
37:55Yes!
37:55I'm really unsure.
37:57Like, we've done nearly the best possible.
37:59Like, maybe four or five seconds we could have gained from a perfect run.
38:03I was kind of feeling the pressure only at the start.
38:06But I think once I got going, I just really wanted to do the best I could.
38:09We have to talk about the helmet.
38:10Because that was...
38:12How did you see anything?
38:13No, I panicked to take a cut.
38:15But I slowed down, got it fixed and just drove on.
38:17It felt sensational, don't you?
38:19Do you think it's enough to avoid an eliminator?
38:21We don't know.
38:22I'll be honest with you.
38:23Especially after coming second in the first event.
38:25And we know the other two families are really strong.
38:27But we could do with a bit of luck, Laura.
38:29I've that horrible Irish feeling of don't get too cocky.
38:33Now it's time for me to give the families the final results.
38:39Hi, families.
38:41Well done today.
38:42It was such a sensational performance.
38:44But I am here to reveal who will be taking on tonight's eliminator.
38:50And the first family that will be facing tonight's eliminator are...
38:56Andrew and the Hilliards.
39:00You know, because we were third in the first event,
39:03we kind of knew after picking up just one point
39:05that the chances were, unless there was a miracle,
39:08that we'd probably end up in the eliminator.
39:10Now, the next two families were both tied from the two events.
39:17Which means that it comes down to the slowest family in all tired out.
39:24Which means congratulations to Donika and the Linehans.
39:27You're through to the semi-finals.
39:30I must say, every one of them was brilliant.
39:34Here we are again.
39:36Yeah, I didn't think we'd be here. I genuinely didn't.
39:38A bit disappointed because we did so well in the bog
39:40to have to come back and do an eliminator.
39:44Straight and up. Straight and up.
39:45Go, go, go, go.
39:46He has it, he has it, he has it.
39:48Quick, quick, quick. Let's go. Come on.
39:50Get over, get over.
39:51Around him.
39:51Welcome back to Ireland's fittest family.
40:10We've got Andrews Hilliard taking on Michael Dara's Walshes.
40:14And the stakes have been raised for Michael Dara
40:15because this is his last family left.
40:18Will he stay in the competition?
40:20It's time to find out.
40:21Tonight's eliminator is no walk in the park.
40:26It begins with a sprint to collect a 30kg log
40:30which they must run with together around the field.
40:33Then they face a relentless series of A-frames and walls.
40:36If that isn't enough,
40:37they have to navigate a tricky balance beam
40:40before the 3m walls await.
40:42These are followed by a plunge into a freezing ice bath.
40:45Next, it's a climb up onto a platform
40:47and down a cargo net covered ladder.
40:50Finally, the ramp awaits.
40:52The first family to the top of the ramp wins a place
40:54in next week's semi-final.
40:56The losing family is eliminated.
40:57It's the second eliminator of our quarterfinals
41:02and it's going to be a showdown
41:04between the Hilliards and the Walshes
41:06with only one family making it to the semis.
41:09Now, that family is going to be the one
41:10who gets to the top of this ramp first.
41:13And it's pretty easy.
41:14I did it.
41:15I mean, just don't tell them I used the stairs.
41:17Oh, if I got knocked out by Andrew Trimble,
41:19that would not go down well in any of my circles.
41:22So I'm representing the whole
41:24Gaelic Athletic Association here.
41:26That would be rebellion.
41:27Maybe trying to learn on the spot
41:28might cost us a bit of time
41:30compared to the other family
41:31who have done the eliminator before.
41:33I wouldn't be expecting any support
41:35from the GAA community for this episode
41:37and that's fine.
41:38I'll do what I can for the rugby community.
41:41We have experience doing the last eliminator
41:43so we're actually quite positive about it.
41:45Let's see how this goes.
41:46Ready to go.
41:47Andrew Trimble's Hilliards wearing gold
41:49against Michael Darrell-McCauley's
41:51Walshes wearing green.
41:54So it's a Leinster versus Munster battle.
41:57The Hilliards from County Kildare,
41:58the Walshes from County Cork
42:00and off we go.
42:01So the Walshes appearing in the eliminator
42:03for the first time.
42:04The Hilliards have done this before
42:05and that's given them confidence.
42:08And they have a little bit of a lead there.
42:13Andrew Trimble coaching the Hilliards,
42:16Michael Darrell-McCauley coaching the Walsh family.
42:19Whatever you have, whatever you have.
42:22One more Gaelic, one more Gaelic, let's go.
42:24So Michael Darrell wants a little bit more
42:26from his family
42:27and they've given him more
42:29and they've opened up a little bit of a lead.
42:32But there'll be no panic from the Hilliards.
42:38So they're very nearly at the drop zone
42:41where they can get rid of that log.
42:42It weighs 30 kilograms.
42:44And they've got rid of that
42:45and now we're onto the walls of the A-frames.
42:48Let's go, let's go, let's go.
42:53Let's go, let's go.
42:53Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.
42:54Here come the Hilliards.
42:55Let's go, same again, same again, same again.
42:57Let's go.
42:58Well done, well done, perfect.
43:01So Michael Darrell has had experience
43:03of the eliminator before.
43:05Let's go.
43:05I wonder, will that be an advantage
43:07to the Walsh family?
43:11So there's a lead for the Walshs wearing green, remember?
43:14Yeah, let's go, Alan.
43:16Let's go, let's go, here we go.
43:17So Amy Walsh has been helped over the top
43:19and down the other side of that A-frame.
43:21Let's go, Alan, let's go.
43:26The Walshs with three of them together.
43:29Yeah, let's go, let's keep going, Alan.
43:30Hilliard's not far behind.
43:32There's very little between them.
43:33Up to the balance beam, it's Michael Walsh.
43:36And here come the rest of the family.
43:38And the Hilliards there as well.
43:40Oh, that worked, didn't it?
43:42Little Bob, let's go again, let's go, Alan.
43:44Just get it done, that's the thing.
43:46And they are getting it done.
43:47That's Mel Hilliard.
43:50And there really is not a lot between them.
43:52A little bit of a slip there in the balance beam.
43:54It's always an interesting challenge
43:57because you're going so fast and so hard
43:59and then you have to calm everything down.
44:00Nice and easy.
44:05And if you come off of any place in the beam,
44:07you've got to go back to the start.
44:10So the Hilliards look good there,
44:12perfectly balanced,
44:12but there is a lead for the Walsh family.
44:15The three brothers working together.
44:18Let's keep some urgency.
44:19Keep some urgency.
44:20Let's go.
44:20So Andrew wants a little bit more urgency
44:22from the Hilliards.
44:24Perfect.
44:24Well done, Alan.
44:25Great stop.
44:26So that wall,
44:2810 feet, 3 meters high.
44:31Amy Walsh has just been helped to the top of it
44:33and she'll go down the other side as well.
44:35Yeah, that's it.
44:36Nicely done.
44:36This all about, well, strength, agility, obviously,
44:41but calmness, teamwork, good communication.
44:45Amy Walsh has gone towards the ice bath.
44:48Oh, that was unusual, wasn't it?
44:50A hurdle over.
44:51Two Hilliards at the top,
44:54two still down below,
44:55but the Walsh's are opening up a lead now.
44:57They're all away from the wall
44:58and that lead is growing with every second
45:01and the Hilliards are losing time at the wall.
45:05The Walsh's up to that ice bath.
45:10Some people don't find that easy.
45:11It's not,
45:12but they made that look pretty comfortable,
45:13didn't they?
45:14So Amy Walsh is out in front.
45:16Here come the rest of the family.
45:17Mel Hilliard trying to take on the wall.
45:19Yeah, well done.
45:20The Walsh's have made it to the ramp already.
45:22First to take it on is Aiden.
45:2420-year-old Aiden.
45:26Up to the top of the ramp.
45:27Oh no, he's come down.
45:28He's come down.
45:29So does that open the door for the Hilliards?
45:31They're still a bit down the course.
45:33Here is Michael Walsh now.
45:34Michael, wow, look at that.
45:36He got up.
45:36That was such a brilliant bit of technique.
45:39Great strength.
45:40Second to take it on now is Alfie.
45:41Alfie's got a grip on the lip
45:43and Michael is helping him up to the top.
45:45So there's two Walsh's up there
45:46and the Hilliards are still at the ice bath
45:48and losing more time.
45:50Yeah, nice.
45:51Let's go.
45:51Get ahead of it.
45:52Andrew Trimble still very calm with them.
45:55And now the Hilliards have made it away from the ice bath.
45:59The Walsh's have two up at the top.
46:01Here comes Mum, Amy.
46:03Can her two sons get her to the top?
46:05Oh, and she reaches out but can't grab on.
46:08So Amy's come down the bottom.
46:10The Hilliards are closing.
46:13Here they come.
46:14Now third to take this on.
46:15That's another brilliant leap.
46:16That was Aiden Walsh.
46:17So three Walsh's up there.
46:19Only Amy to go to win a place in the semifinal.
46:23So Michael Darrow wants everybody just to calm down.
46:26And here come the Hilliards.
46:28They have closed right up.
46:30First to take this on is Mel Hilliard.
46:32Up to the top of the ramp
46:33and he's soaking and he's come straight back down.
46:36It's all down
46:37to Michael, Aiden and Alfie Walsh.
46:40Can they get Amy up to the top?
46:43This surely is theirs to lose.
46:44They've got a hold of her.
46:45They've got a hold of her.
46:46And then she falls down a little bit.
46:48The Hilliards still trying to get one up to the top.
46:52Amy Walsh is not letting go.
46:53They're trying to drag her up to the top.
46:55Can they do it?
46:58They are so close.
47:01The Hilliards still battling away with it.
47:03And now really it's anything we'll do.
47:05Amy trying to get her left leg up to the top of the lift.
47:08They've got her now.
47:08Yeah, they've got her.
47:09They've got her to the top.
47:11And there is the place in the semi-final guarantee
47:14for the Walsh family from Cork.
47:16They backed it up, didn't they?
47:19There's no unfinished business.
47:22There's no regrets.
47:22There's no, oh, if a couple of things hadn't gone our way.
47:25It was a fair result in the end.
47:27More generally, it was just such a positive experience
47:29spending time with those guys.
47:30They're a great family.
47:32They're lovely.
47:33They really care about each other.
47:34We're going to have this the rest of our lives.
47:35Look back on, you know, as parents and as a family.
47:38Three daughters has been just incredible.
47:40But also for our dad to be in good health
47:43and be able to do something like that with us
47:45to want to spend that time with us
47:47is something that we definitely don't take for granted.
47:50Oh my God, here we go.
47:52Amy, I'm going to start with you.
47:53Well done.
47:55How are you feeling?
47:56Can I show you my bruises?
47:57You can, of course.
47:57Yeah.
47:59Okay.
48:00A few more there.
48:01Say that again.
48:02It was worth it.
48:04Absolutely buzzing.
48:05I'm better than bruised.
48:06But hey, you know,
48:07which bruises is a story to tell.
48:09Was there ever a date
48:10they were going to make it into the semis?
48:12Everyone was all talk.
48:13Oh no, you're not all this.
48:15You're not all that.
48:17You saw us up the top.
48:19They're all gusto
48:20and they're all talk
48:21but that put it up to them.
48:22They were shook after that.
48:24So that's great.
48:25And that'll stand to us going into it.
48:26I think it's really good
48:27to have done the eliminator
48:28going into the next round
48:28so you know what to expect.
48:30So yeah, we're buzzing on
48:31into the semifinals.
48:32You've met your match
48:33in this family, Michael Dara
48:34and I'm absolutely delighted to say
48:36you're going to the semifinals
48:39of Ireland's Fittest Family.
48:40Oh, unbelievable stuff all together.
48:45Michael Dara has made it through
48:46to the semifinals
48:47but who is going to be joining him?
48:49We'll find out
48:49right back here again next week
48:51with the last of our quarterfinals.
48:54See you then.
48:54This bit looks okay.
48:56That bit looks okay.
48:58It's that bit over there.
49:00Next week
49:00it's the last quarterfinals.
49:03Stewart's! Stewart's fight!
49:05It doesn't matter how tired you are at the end.
49:07Finish strong!
49:07Let's just get up and do it!
49:09Get up and do it!
49:10Who will rise to the occasion?
49:12Well done.
49:13Come on, Tom!
49:14Come on!
49:15Relax.
49:16Relax.
49:17You're like, don't jump.
49:19And who will fall
49:20at the final hurdle?
49:21Grit your teeth!
49:24All right.
