Transcript
00:00We have the highlights from Thursday night's Critics' Choice Awards.
00:03Matthew McConaughey bested Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston in the Best Actor in a Drama
00:08Series category for his role on True Detective and gave a speech that was, well, very McConaughey.
00:14In addition to giving his co-star a sweet shout-out,
00:17"...my brother, who's an anytime, anywhere guy, Mr. Woody Harrelson, he's out there,
00:22you know I love you, buddy."
00:23he talked about why he made the move to television.
00:25"...television's raising the bar on the character-driven drama series.
00:29What other medium do you get to have that tasty act won?
00:33That's what television has given us as artists, and that's also what television has given us
00:37as audiences."
00:38Scandal's Bellamy Young was so adorable when she won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama
00:43Series.
00:44Too bad she was seated so far back.
00:46Poor Bellamy had to run all the way to the front of the room like a contestant on The Price
00:51Is Right.
00:52And no surprise here, Breaking Bad won Best Drama Series.
00:55And it was a pleasant surprise when Orange Is The New Black won Best Comedy Series.
00:59It was their third award for the show that night.
01:02It's so fantastic that we have this show that highlights the stories of people who are incarcerated.
01:09Just because someone is incarcerated does not mean they're not a human being and that their
01:12stories don't matter.
01:13Those girls are going to clean up at the Emmys, am I right?
01:15I'm Elena Scantlin, stay tuned to ENTV for all of your entertainment news.
