00:00Darren Criss, we're here on a Monday. It's finally the Emmys.

00:02Can you tell me just about what this Gianni Versace ride has been like for you these past months?

00:08It's been more than a year, and I know it's hard to encapsulate this entire experience into a soundbite,

00:13but just tell me what it's been like for you.

00:15Well, the whole thing has been so excruciatingly exciting ever since we started working on it.

00:24This is something that Ryan Murphy and I talked about years ago,

00:26and I never thought he would actually go through with it.

00:28And so the feeling that I had once we started working and as they announced who the cast was

00:32and where we'd be shooting and what we would be doing, and as the scripts came in,

00:35I was always just beside myself just so thrilled that I could be a part of something of this echelon.

00:43So that excitement has just been constantly renewed by beautiful men.

00:49Yeah, that happened. That's something.

00:52My first gig ever on Eastwick, my first TV break, was with Jason George.

00:56And so here we are. What a nice little full circle.

00:58You've really killed it, this award season on the red carpet.

01:01Did you feel an extra pressure because you're in a show with some Versace's to sort of really bring it?

01:08I mean, you've always really looked great, but particularly this run.

01:11I never really thought about that.

01:13I think the fashion choices I get to make are a luxury and a privilege from being continued to be invited back,

01:19which one day might not be the case.

01:21So there are a lot of more bold choices that I think I get to make now

01:26that I definitely wouldn't have made out of the gate starting to come to these things however many years ago.

01:31So it's fun to be able to evolve, and I'm very happy that people are allowing me to show up

01:34in a little more edgier things than before.

01:37So hopefully I can keep going.

01:38Where's the after party at your bar in Hollywood?

01:40Oh, maybe. There's enough after parties to go to.

01:42If I end up there, it'll probably be just me and my fiancé, you know, bottle red kind of thing.
