00:02This is the show where we tell you what happened at Ultimate Spider-Man,
00:05because if you hadn't heard, it's finally officially been confirmed
00:08that Tom Holland has based his Spider-Man and Spider-Man Homecoming
00:11on the Ultimate Spider-Man versions.
00:13We all kind of knew that, but he's confirmed it.
00:15That makes it better.
00:17Now, if you don't know where you are,

00:40Today, we're continuing to jump ahead
00:42to some of the best stories that happened in Ultimate Spider-Man,
00:44and this is Volume 17 and the first half of the Ultimate Clone Saga.
00:50Now, after escaping Krakoa Island,
00:51along with the other X-Men in a previous adventure,
00:54Peter once again tries to return to a normal life,
00:56and even at school, people have taken notice
00:58to Peter being somewhat absent-minded,
01:00especially Mary Jane.
01:01As class ends and the students head home,
01:03Mary Jane stops Peter telling him
01:05that she knows that he's been through a lot lately,
01:07and he's going to have to come with her and take a break.
01:09A short while later, at the mall food court,
01:11Peter says that he appreciates her trying to be friends with him again,
01:14even though he's currently dating Kitty Pryde.
01:16Mary Jane says, speaking of,
01:17she hasn't noticed her sulking around the school in a while.
01:20Peter tells her that Kitty is kind of frowned
01:23because of who Krakoa is.
01:25But before the two of them can go further into that subject,
01:27there's a loud crash as one of the food stands
01:29is thrown across the food court.
01:31Everyone begins to run outside from the stand's path,
01:33and as everyone pushes their way through,
01:35someone in the crowd shoves a mother and their child.
01:37The child is flung from the mother's grasp,
01:39and just before the child can hit the ground,
01:41a web shoots out, grabbing him.
01:43Peter shouts,
01:44Ta-da!
01:44And the mother screams at Peter to get away from her baby.
01:46He sighs, telling her,
01:48yeah, should have seen that coming.
01:49Guess we will go see what's going on now.
01:51He leaps over to where the stand crashed,
01:53and he finds a man in a scorpion's suit
01:55staring right back at him.
01:56The man in the suit shouts
01:57that he's not falling for any of his tricks.
01:59He's so much smarter than him that he's not even funny.
02:02He's the scorpion, and he's so much better than him.
02:04Peter tells him,
02:05Well, if you are so much smarter,
02:07why don't you just lay down and take it
02:08while I beat the crap out of you
02:09since you know what's going to happen next.
02:11Scorpion shouts,
02:12I knew you were there!
02:13But before Peter can even ask what he's talking about,
02:15another voice calls out for them all to get on the ground.
02:18The two look back and see the police beginning to surround them,
02:20and scorpion spins back,
02:21spraying the officers with his acid.
02:23As Peter jumps in to stop him,
02:25scorpion backhands Peter,
02:27launching him into another stand.
02:28Peter quickly gets back up,
02:29and he webs scorpion,
02:30and then he flings him into a pillar,
02:32and then he jumps on him,
02:33telling him,
02:33Not so fast!
02:34I already get enough trouble from the cops!
02:36I don't need your help with that!
02:37The two start fighting back and forth,
02:38and Peter jumps on top,
02:39punching down onto scorpion's head.
02:42But as the mask starts to break away,
02:44Peter stops when he sees scorpion's face,
02:46and scorpion's face is...
02:48his face?
02:49And meanwhile,
02:50back at the Watson house,
02:51Mary Jane rushes home to tell her mother
02:53that no matter what she's hurt,
02:54she's fine!
02:55She's okay!
02:56Her mother hugs her,
02:57telling her that the city used to be so nice.
02:59But as Mary Jane heads back to her room,
03:01she smiles,
03:01thinking that maybe talking with Peter again
03:03was a good thing.
03:04So Mary Jane then lays down on her bed
03:05and begins to write in her journal,
03:07and as she does,
03:08a hand reaches out,
03:08grabbing and covering her mouth.
03:10A few moments later,
03:11Mary Jane's mother comes to telling her
03:12that she got something in the mail,
03:13and then notices the window open,
03:15Mary Jane nowhere in sight.
03:16Later over at the Baxter building,
03:18the Fantastic Four begin to go about their day
03:20when there's a sudden alarm blaring,
03:21shouting,
03:22SECURITY BREACH!
03:23Sue and Reed look out the window
03:25to see Peter getting closer,
03:26and as Reed shouts for him
03:27not to get any closer to the building,
03:29flames shoot out burning him.
03:30A little while later,
03:31Peter wakes up inside of the Baxter building,
03:33and Reed tells him
03:34that he cannot touch this building.
03:36They have the highest security known to man.
03:38Peter rubs his head,
03:38telling him,
03:39Well, I didn't have my cell phone,
03:40so either way,
03:41I need your help.
03:42Like, really, really, really need your help.
03:44I need to know that I can trust you.
03:45I need to know who this Scorpion guy is.
03:48Reed says that they can run a blood test,
03:49and Peter says that they can do that
03:51and not tell anyone, right?
03:52Like, not tell Nick Fury?
03:54And Reed smiles,
03:54telling him,
03:55Oh, that I can definitely do.
03:57Later in Reed's lab,
03:58he goes over the data
03:59that states that Scorpion is Peter Parker,
04:01but only a 94.2% match.
04:04Peter asks,
04:05What's the 94.2% about?
04:07And Reed tells him it's odd,
04:08either it's a match or it's not,
04:09but yeah,
04:10this is Peter Parker,
04:11Caucasian around 16 years old.
04:13Peter shouts,
04:14Wait!
04:14Pulling off his mask.
04:15I'm Peter Parker!
04:16And if I'm Peter Parker,
04:17then who's that in the tube?
04:18Over at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters,
04:20Nick Fury sits at his desk
04:21as he receives a call from Reed Richards.
04:23Nick says that he has not changed his mind
04:25about the Skrull initiative,
04:26and Reed says that he's not calling about that.
04:28He's calling to find out
04:29the government's take on human cloning.
04:31Nick says that,
04:32as they've seen on TV,
04:33it's off limits,
04:34too morally ambiguous.
04:35And Reed then asks,
04:36Right,
04:37so there is no cloning, right?
04:39And Nick tells him,
04:40Nope,
04:40and I'm not doing it either,
04:41if that's what you're asking.
04:42As the call ends,
04:42Peter tells Reed,
04:43he's lying.
04:44And Reed tells him,
04:44Actually,
04:45for once,
04:46Nick Fury isn't lying.
04:47The virtual sensors reading body temperature
04:49and pulse rate fluctuations
04:50didn't even budge,
04:51so he's actually telling the truth.
04:53Peter asks,
04:54Who would do this?
04:55I'm kind of freaking out here right now.
04:56And Reed says that
04:57they need to run some more tests,
04:58but they will need a blood sample
05:00from the real Peter Parker.
05:01As Reed starts to draw blood,
05:03he asks Peter how he got his powers,
05:04and Peter says,
05:05Well,
05:05he was bitten by a spider.
05:06Reed tells him that's cute,
05:07but really how?
05:08And Peter says again,
05:09I was bitten by a spider.
05:10It was a big spider.
05:12Later,
05:12Peter heads back home,
05:13and as he opens the door to his house,
05:14Aunt May runs out,
05:16asking if Mary Jane's with him.
05:17Peter says,
05:17No,
05:18what's going on?
05:18Aunt May shouts that Mary Jane is missing,
05:20and Peter quickly spins back around,
05:22stating that he's gonna go look for her.
05:23As it begins to get dark outside,
05:25Peter heads to the only place
05:26where he can think that Mary Jane could have gone,
05:28the abandoned warehouse.
05:29Peter climbs up the wall,
05:31stating,
05:31Please,
05:31please,
05:32please be here.
05:33He hops us out of the window,
05:34asking if Mary Jane is there,
05:35and then a voice tells him,
05:36Sorry,
05:36Tiger.
05:37This is going to be awkward.
05:38Peter looks back and sees a woman,
05:40in a Spider-Man suit,
05:41hanging from the wall.
05:42After a moment of silence,
05:43Peter asks,
05:44Who are you?
05:44And where is Mary Jane?
05:46The woman says that she doesn't know.
05:47She doesn't get to be a part of that part of the story.
05:50Peter jumps over at the woman,
05:51who effortlessly dodges,
05:53and jumps in,
05:53tossing Peter into a wooden post.
05:55The woman says,
05:56Look,
05:56I'm not gonna fight you.
05:57That isn't going to happen.
05:58Plus,
05:58you're kind of off your game right now anyway.
06:00So, for Mary Jane,
06:01I don't know.
06:02A pipe is thrown,
06:03and as the woman leans back to avoid the hit,
06:04she shouts,
06:05Fine!
06:05And she shoots a web out of her fingertips.
06:08The webbing shoots over,
06:09throwing Peter back against a wall,
06:10causing it to fall on top of him.
06:12And the woman says,
06:13that she shouldn't have come here.
06:14It's all her fault.
06:15As she turns to leave,
06:16she tells Peter that,
06:16she'll get them back for him.
06:18She'll do it for all of them.
06:19A short while later,
06:20Peter wakes back up,
06:21asking what happened,
06:21and he scrambles to get back to the warehouse rooftop.
06:24He calls out for Mary Jane,
06:25hoping to get some kind of a response,
06:26and then he looks at the old house,
06:27and sees someone standing there.
06:29The girl walks into the house,
06:30and Peter chases after.
06:31Then he sees...
06:32Gwen.
06:33Gwen Stacy,
06:33who died when the Carnage symbiote was set free.
06:36She stands there in a hospital gown,
06:37looking at the empty house,
06:38and asks,
06:39When did you move?
06:40Elsewhere, though,
06:41Mary Jane wakes up in a giant tube,
06:43asking where is she?
06:44She begins to beat up the glass,
06:45asking if anyone's there,
06:46and then Peter's voice tells her to just calm down.
06:48Peter's shadow then says,
06:49It's going to be okay.
06:50I know how to protect you now!
06:52Mary Jane screams to let her out,
06:54and as she does,
06:55no one else inside of the old Oscorp facility
06:57can hear her.
06:58Peter goes on saying that this is where it all happened,
07:00remember?
07:00This is where Spider-Man was born.
07:02He realizes now that he broke up with her
07:04because he was so worried that something would happen to her,
07:06and he thought about a wonderful idea.
07:08Why not make them equals?
07:10That way they could be peers,
07:12and she could defend herself.
07:13He steps out from the shadows with half of his face melted away,
07:16telling her that he's going to make her just like him.
07:19Back in Peter's old house,
07:20the two sit down,
07:21and Gwen says that she remembers waking up at a hospital,
07:24but she doesn't remember where.
07:25Images start to flash in Gwen's head.
07:27Images of doctors dying and police shooting at her.
07:30She then stares at Peter and says that she doesn't remember.
07:32Peter tells her that she was dead,
07:34and now she can't remember how she got here,
07:35and Gwen stops him asking.
07:37She was dead?
07:38She then looks back down,
07:39saying that she doesn't know how she was supposed to react to that.
07:41She grabs and hugs Peter,
07:43and then a light shines down on them,
07:44and Aunt May asks,
07:45What is?
07:46She sees Gwen,
07:47and then suddenly realizes that she's looking at Gwen,
07:50and she runs back home.
07:51Gwen says that she really was dead then,
07:54and Peter tells her,
07:55Yeah, you were.
07:56Shortly after that,
07:56Peter and Gwen run after Aunt May
07:58as she tries to call the police,
07:59and Peter begs for her to put the phone down.
08:01After a brief moment of shock,
08:03Aunt May sits,
08:03and Peter tells her,
08:04Look, there's no easy way to say this,
08:06but I need to tell you.
08:07I'm Spider-Man.
08:07I always have been,
08:08and Gwen was killed,
08:09or so we thought,
08:10by a monster who was looking for me.
08:12Aunt May takes a moment to process this,
08:14and then she folds her arms,
08:15telling Peter to prove it.
08:16Prove that he's Spider-Man!
08:17Peter jumps to the ceiling,
08:18telling her,
08:18See?
08:19Aunt May tells him to stop it.
08:20She then says,
08:21So everything with Norman,
08:22all of that trouble,
08:23and Harry,
08:23and now this?
08:24Even though I saw Gwen's dead body with my own eyes?
08:27Peter tells her that he doesn't know how,
08:28but clearly there's a scientific explanation.
08:30He just doesn't know what it is.
08:32Aunt May tells him to stop.
08:34She understands.
08:34Now, just get out.
08:36Take whatever that is,
08:37and get out.
08:38Peter tries to tell her to wait,
08:39but Aunt May shouts that he is not her son.
08:41She gave up her adult life for him,
08:43and all he has done is lie to her.
08:45Take those ghosts,
08:46and get out of the house!
08:47A voice from down below then asks,
08:48Aunt May,
08:49When did she get so feisty?
08:50Everyone turns back to see Richard Parker,
08:53and he says that she should take it easy on him.
08:55He was only a kid,
08:56trying to make the most out of an impossible situation.
08:58Aunt May scoffs,
08:59stating,
09:00Wonderful timing.
09:01Now you can take your son and get out.
09:03Peter asks,
09:03Is that really you?
09:05Dad, are you alive?
09:06And then he looks at Aunt May,
09:07and she still doesn't respond.
09:08Meanwhile,
09:09over at the Baxter building,
09:10Nick Fury looks at Scorpion and asks,
09:12So, this is Peter Parker.
09:14Reed tells him no.
09:15After some tests,
09:16his best guess is that someone cloned him,
09:18and then tampered with the cloning,
09:19in an attempt to enhance him.
09:20And then asks,
09:21if someone was doing super soldier experiments with cloning.
09:23Nick doesn't say anything.
09:24Then he radios back to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters,
09:26to get the Spider Slayers ready.
09:28He's going to need the full battalion,
09:29and a cleaning crew.
09:30Things are about to get messy.
09:32Back at Peter's house,
09:33his father hugs him,
09:34and Aunt May shouts,
09:35that she's glad that they're back together,
09:37but now they can all get out.
09:38She's had enough of the Parker drama,
09:40for the rest of her life.
09:40Peter shouts,
09:41Wait,
09:41she knew that his dad was alive,
09:43and she didn't tell him?
09:44Aunt May snaps back,
09:45that he's Spider-Man and didn't tell her.
09:47She was just trying to protect him from all of this,
09:49this exact thing.
09:50And without paying much attention to Peter and Aunt May,
09:52Richard turns to Gwen,
09:53and asks how she's feeling.
09:55She must be hungry.
09:56As Richard opens the fridge,
09:57Aunt May asks,
09:58What is he doing?
09:58She wants them all to leave.
10:00Richard pulls out a pizza,
10:01and says,
10:01Look,
10:02cold pizza is perfect for this kind of a thing.
10:04Back at the Oscorp facility,
10:05Mary Jane sits in her tube,
10:07now strapped to a chair,
10:08and Peter tells her that this place used to be state-of-the-art,
10:11but don't worry.
10:12Soon,
10:12she's going to be just like him.
10:13She'll be able to protect herself.
10:15As Peter starts setting up the machine,
10:16he suddenly kicked in the face,
10:18and then a six-armed Spider-Man tells Peter to get away from her.
10:21Back over at Peter's house,
10:22his father explains the events of what happened the day of the plane crash that supposedly took his life.
10:27Just before boarding the plane,
10:28he had second thoughts on further work on the suit,
10:31since the company that they were working for wanted to weaponize it.
10:34His mother Mary decided that it would be their best chance to finally get back out of the financial slump that they were in,
10:39but ultimately he refused to go along with it.
10:41Peter listens and then asks,
10:43What about Gwen?
10:43Why is Gwen alive?
10:44Why are you here?
10:45And Richard says,
10:46Yes,
10:47you really were a smart boy.
10:48Back at Oscorp,
10:49the six-armed Spider-Man fights the cloned Peter back,
10:53stating that he knew that he would try something like this.
10:55He's not going to let him touch Mary Jane.
10:57He then kicks the clone back,
10:58telling him that this isn't why they were created.
11:01The cloned Peter grabs a steel beam and throws it,
11:04shouting,
11:04Shut up!
11:05And then he tackles the six-armed Spider-Man to the ground.
11:07He starts to beat on him,
11:08punching him over and over,
11:09and after the six-armed Spider-Man stops moving,
11:12the cloned Peter Parker looks back at Mary Jane,
11:14stating,
11:15It's okay, sweetie.
11:16It's all going to be okay now.
11:17Meanwhile,
11:18over at Peter's house,
11:19his father continues the story,
11:21stating that he's not going to like this part,
11:23but metaphorically,
11:23he was dead,
11:24or at least in every legal sense.
11:26It was then that a man named Henry Geerich from the CIA found him.
11:30Henry knew that he was supposed to be dead,
11:31but he had a unique offer for him to allow him to continue his work.
11:34Henry said that there was a man by the name of Nick Fury,
11:37who had weaseled his way through the world government ladder,
11:39and was now working on a super soldier serum.
11:42He wanted to make a team of super soldiers like Captain America,
11:45in order to police the world,
11:46and frankly,
11:47the CIA didn't trust him.
11:48A little while later,
11:49Henry brought in footage of the Venom suit when it broke loose,
11:52and in that video,
11:53his father saw his son,
11:54Peter,
11:54and Henry told him that Peter had become Spider-Man,
11:57and Nick Fury had already gotten to him.
11:59It was one day when May was leaving work that he approached her,
12:02but she refused to let him anywhere near Peter.
12:04But also,
12:05Henry wouldn't let him talk to his son,
12:06regardless of his fear of what was going on with Nick Fury,
12:10because he was scared that it would compromise the whole operation.
12:12Peter stands up from his table,
12:13shouting that none of this explains why Gwen is still here.
12:16His father goes on stating that he was never supposed to know that she existed.
12:20All of the advancement in stem cell research,
12:22combined with Connor's advanced,
12:23before he can go any further,
12:24a light shines in the house,
12:26and a voice calls out that they are surrounded.
12:28Outside,
12:28Nick Fury shouts over a microphone that there are several dozen robots,
12:32and he says that they are here to take them all into custody.
12:34As they can see,
12:35he's not screwing around.
12:37Gwen looks outside and says that they're going to take them away,
12:39and then her body begins to twist.
12:41Suddenly,
12:41her gown is torn off,
12:43and standing before them is the red creature that Peter once fought before.
12:46Gwen screams,
12:47NO!
12:48And she jumps out the window,
12:49but before Peter can chase after her,
12:50he sees Aunt May grabbing her chest.
12:52Peter asks what's wrong,
12:54and she struggles to tell them that it's her heart.
12:56But while all of this is happening,
12:57back at the Oscorp facility,
12:59Mary Jane slowly opens her eyes,
13:01and Peter tells her congratulations.
13:03This is the all-new Herb.
13:05The Clone Saga is rather intense in the Ultimate Universe,
13:08but it gives so much backstory to Peter Parker,
13:10what's going on with the clones,
13:11what's going on with the Carnage symbiote,

13:26This is our continuing series,
13:28where we're trying to explain to you the best parts about the Ultimate Spider-Man storyline
13:31that happened in the Ultimate Universe.
13:33And today,
13:34we're going to be covering the second part of the Clone Saga.
13:37Now in our last video,
13:48Peter has fought against a villain who actually had the same face as him,
13:51but he also learned that Mary Jane has gone missing.
13:53As he searched through the abandoned storehouse that they would often sneak to,
13:57he ran into a woman who was also wearing a Spider-Man suit,
14:00and using his abilities.
14:02She easily defeated Peter,
14:03and then he tried to chase after her,
14:05and that's when he saw a girl walk into his old house.
14:07Except that it wasn't Mary Jane,
14:09it was the supposedly dead Gwen Stacy.
14:11Outside of Peter's house,
14:12Gwen Stacy,
14:13now looking like the Carnage Monster,
14:15jumps straight into a group of robots,
14:16and rips through,
14:17tearing everything apart.
14:19Nick shouts for them to fire,
14:20and the robots begin to shoot beams,
14:21hitting the house.
14:22And inside,
14:23Peter grabs Aunt May,
14:24and Richard Parker,
14:25Peter Parker's father,
14:26who joined us,
14:27if you really don't know what's going on,
14:28you really should check out the last episode,
14:30tells his son that he will take care of Aunt May.
14:32Peter needs to get out there,
14:34and stop whatever is going on.
14:36Peter hesitates for a moment,
14:37and then Richard tells him,
14:38you need to listen to your father.
14:39Peter turns,
14:40jumping out of the house,
14:41vaulting off with a robot,
14:42shouting for Nick Fury.
14:43Peter makes his way over to him,
14:45grabs his gun,
14:46telling him that he needs to stop.
14:47His aunt is in the house,
14:48and Nick shouts for him to,
14:49get off!
14:50You're under arrest!
14:51But before anything else can happen,
14:52Peter is hit by one of the robot's beams,
14:54and then Nick points his gun at Peter,
14:56telling him,
14:57I understand,
14:58but you need to stay down.
14:59Peter lunges back up,
15:00grabbing at Nick's throat,
15:01but then another robot fires hitting him,
15:03and Nick tells him,
15:04I'm really sorry,
15:05but you need to stay down.
15:07The next hit will paralyze you for good.
15:09He holds up his gun,
15:10and then it's blasted with fire,
15:11and a voice tells him,
15:12dude,
15:13leave that guy alone.
15:14Everyone looks up to see the Fantastic Four,
15:16and Reed Richards,
15:17asking,
15:18what exactly is going on here?
15:19Nick tells Reed,
15:20to take his team and go home,
15:22and Reed stomps him,
15:23asking,
15:23why are you doing this?
15:24Peter's done nothing wrong.
15:26Nick shouts that this is a military operation,
15:28and he is giving them a direct order to go home.
15:30Ben Grimm looks at Gwen,
15:32and he says,
15:32no offense,
15:33but she is one ugly.
15:34But before Ben can finish his sentence,
15:36Gwen grabs him,
15:37and flings him across the street,
15:39into a building.
15:40Reed shouts to Nick,
15:40that they just can't take over a neighborhood,
15:42because they found a clone.
15:43And Peter interrupts them,
15:45screaming,
15:45that his aunt is still inside.
15:46She had a stroke or something,
15:48and my dad is in there too.
15:49Sue Storm pushes through the group,
15:51telling Nick,
15:51that there's an older woman inside,
15:52that needs their help.
15:53What is the matter with him?
15:54And while Sue creates a force field,
15:56and goes inside of the house,
15:57Reed stretches around,
15:58slowly pulling Gwen down,
16:00stating,
16:01this is just fascinating.
16:02Inside,
16:03Sue checks on Aunt May,
16:04and she asks Richard,
16:05what he has done to help.
16:06Richard stumbles over his words,
16:08telling her,
16:08nothing,
16:09nothing.
16:09So Sue says,
16:10you're a doctor,
16:11but either way,
16:11we're gonna need to get her out of here.
16:13Once Sue brings May outside,
16:14she tells Peter,
16:15that she's going to take her to the hospital,
16:17along with his dad.
16:18Peter tells her thanks,
16:18and Sue flies away.
16:20Johnny then asks,
16:20if he would like him to take him as well.
16:22Peter turns back,
16:23telling him no.
16:24And then he charges through the robots,
16:25calling out to Nick Fury.
16:27Nick tells his men to do it,
16:28full power.
16:28And suddenly there's a bright blue light,
16:30that blasts through,
16:31covering the entire area.
16:33And then in a flash,
16:33it's over.
16:34Everyone stares at Gwen,
16:35now back in her human form,
16:37and she collapses.
16:38Peter falls to his knees,
16:39and Nick walks over to him,
16:40pointing his gun,
16:41telling him,
16:42I wasn't lying before.
16:43You don't get to be Spider-Man anymore.
16:45And Peter looks at him,
16:46tell me what you did.
16:47And Nick sighs,
16:48telling him that he didn't do anything.
16:49It was his clones,
16:50and he's truly sorry about this.
16:52Back at the Oscorp facility,
16:53Mary Jane asks,
16:54what did you do?
16:55The cloned Peter says,
16:57that she knows what Oz was,
16:59right?
16:59He injected her with it.
17:01The stuff that made Otto Octavius,
17:02into Dr. Octopus,
17:03Norman Osborn,
17:04into Green Goblin,
17:05and with it,
17:06he recreated her.
17:07Mary Jane shouts,
17:08that he put something inside of her,
17:10and as she steps forward,
17:11she falls over in pain.
17:13Cloned Peter asks,
17:14if she's okay,
17:15and then a giant red arm,
17:16shoots up,
17:17and a hulking red beast,
17:19stands up and screams.
17:20Back at the house,
17:22Nick Fury puts cuffs on Peter Parker,
17:24and Reed Richards says that he can't do this.
17:26Peter just looks at him,
17:27and tells him to just let it go.
17:28It's all over now.
17:29Suddenly,
17:30the spider woman from before,
17:31jumps in,
17:32kicking Nick Fury away,
17:33and she grabs Peter Parker,
17:34and leaves off.
17:35Johnny Storm tries to follow,
17:37but as they get into the city,
17:38he loses sight of them.
17:39Down on the alleyway,
17:40the woman puts her fingers to her lips,
17:42until Johnny flies off.
17:43Once the coast is clear,
17:44she breaks the cuffs,
17:45holding Peter back,
17:46tells Peter to follow her.
17:47The two jump onto the Jersey Turnpike,
17:49and when they land onto a passing truck,
17:51Peter asks,
17:52who are you?
17:52The woman looks at him,
17:53stating,
17:54spider woman?
17:54And Peter asks again.
17:56So the woman pulls her mask down,
17:57to show that she looks like him.
18:00Peter asks if she's him,
18:01and the woman tells him,
18:02kinda,
18:02sort of,
18:03I'm a clone of you.
18:04Right now,
18:04we're heading over to find the other clones,
18:06and I'll tell you everything that I know.
18:07It all started about a month ago,
18:09when I was born.
18:10There was a man named Ben Riley.
18:11He was saying how there had been so many other clones,
18:14except in her case,
18:15they decided they wanted to try making a female.
18:17They said that she would be working as a special agent for the CIA,
18:20and that her name was going to be Jessica Drew.
18:22Ben kept going on about how the CIA and FBI made a deal,
18:25and allowed him to keep working on his work,
18:27with the Parker sample that he took when things went wrong.
18:30But just before she passed back out,
18:31she remembers hearing Ben say something about making her like the next Captain America,
18:35except that there would be an army of 200 Spider-Men.
18:38As Jessica sits back,
18:39she asks Peter if he's okay.
18:41Peter calmly tells her no.
18:42In fact,
18:43you should be like,
18:44Jessica goes on to explain that
18:46one day during testing,
18:48one of the other clones broke out of their cell,
18:50and began to tear the place down.
18:51It was after it escaped,
18:53that all of the doors to the other cells opened,
18:55and everyone broke free.
18:56Peter asks if one of those clones took Mary Jane,
18:58and Jessica says that she thinks so,
19:00but she's hoping that she's wrong.
19:02But right now,
19:02this is their stop,
19:03and they jump off of the truck.
19:04Peter follows behind,
19:05and then he sees that they're now at the old Oscorp facility.
19:08They see what Mary Jane has now become,
19:10and she's fighting the Peter clone.
19:11Jessica webs up the six-armed Spider-Man,
19:13pulling him to safety,
19:14and then she takes off his mask,
19:16telling him to rise and shine.
19:17And as the six-armed Spider-Man looks at the real Peter,
19:20Peter tells him,
19:21we're gonna do our oh my gods later.
19:22The six-armed Peter then looks back at Mary Jane and says,
19:25that idiot did it.
19:26He injected her with Oz.
19:27Mary Jane continues to thrash about,
19:29and just before slamming a piece of metal onto the clone Peter Parker,
19:33Peter runs up telling Mary Jane to stop.
19:35This is the real him.
19:37She screams as she starts to revert,
19:39and the cloned evil Peter says,
19:40look, she can protect herself now.
19:42Peter punches the clone,
19:43shouting that there's no Oz here.
19:45This place was empty.
19:46So where did you get it from?
19:48The voice says,
19:49from our father.
19:50Peter looks back,
19:50and he sees Otto Octavius walking in,
19:52along with Nick and Reed.
19:54Over at the hospital,
19:55Sue and Richard follow the doctors
19:57as they rush Aunt May to the ER,
19:58and as she's taken away,
19:59Richard asks if she's going to be okay.
20:01Sue notices that it's a bit strange that Richard,
20:04being a doctor,
20:05doesn't know what the outcome would be,
20:06and she says that she would like to take Richard's blood
20:08to check on a few things.
20:09Back at the OzCorp facility,
20:11Peter stares at Otto Octavius,
20:12thinking that he's going to kill him.
20:14He can do this.
20:15He can kill him,
20:15and he won't go to jail.
20:16He's a kid.
20:17But as Peter tries to step forward,
20:18Jessica holds him back.
20:20Otto tells Peter that it's good to see him again.
20:22The clones are right there,
20:23so if you'd be so kind,
20:25as to wrap them all up for me.
20:26Reed looks at the clones
20:27that says that he made three clones,
20:29and one of those was a female?
20:31With one of the clones,
20:32they denied a clone its Y chromosome in phase two.
20:35As you can see,
20:36she was a success.
20:37Jessica looks at Otto,
20:38asking if he was the one who created her,
20:40and he smiles.
20:41Yes, it was me.
20:43She grits her teeth,
20:44telling him that she's going to kill him!
20:45But before she can move,
20:47Nick pulls out his gun,
20:48telling her,
20:48there's been enough of that tonight.
20:50Johnny lands by Peter,
20:51asking what the heck is going on,
20:53and Peter picks up Mary Jane,
20:54shouting that they need to help her.
20:55She's been infected with Oz.
20:57Johnny shouts that they can fix that, right?
20:58And Nick tells him no.
21:00He needs the Fantastic Four to pack up and leave.
21:02As Johnny and Nick argue,
21:04Peter Parker pushes them aside,
21:05stating,
21:06please,
21:06help Mary Jane!
21:08Ben takes her,
21:08and Reed says that he can do everything that he can.
21:11And the clone Peter shouts,
21:12no,
21:12she's okay!
21:13I fixed her!
21:14The clone Peter then jumps up,
21:15and the soldiers open fire on him!
21:17Jessica begins to punch the soldiers,
21:19and Nick fires his gun,
21:20shouting that he's had enough of this!
21:22Otto Octavius tells Nick
21:23that he appreciates the good work here,
21:24but this is currently their problem,
21:26so they'll be taking their subjects back now.
21:28Nick says that he ain't taking crap.
21:30There's a lot that he's going to be answering for,
21:32and above all of that,
21:33he's under arrest for this little house of horrors
21:34that he created.
21:35Peter pushes through,
21:36asking,
21:36how did you do it?
21:37How are you not dead or in jail?
21:39And Otto laughs,
21:39stating that he made a deal with the federal government
21:41to help design a super soldier.
21:43It would seem that there are many people
21:44in the United States government
21:45that truly hate Nick Fury,
21:47and they didn't want him to be the only person
21:49with what they would call a Captain America button.
21:51So now,
21:52thanks to the good people over at the FBI,
21:54he can continue his work as Dr. Octavius
21:56before everything went wrong.
21:57Otto then goes on stating that,
21:59I have your blood sample
22:00from your friend Kurt Conner's assistant,
22:02which allowed me to continue my work,
22:04and Jessica there is proof that it's working.
22:06He then leans into Peter,
22:07and he tells him,
22:07it just so happens that my work
22:08completely perverts and destroys
22:10every single part of you and your life.
22:12Every.
22:12Single.
22:13Part.
22:13But before leaving,
22:15Otto mentions that,
22:16as for his father,
22:17well,
22:17your father really did die in that plane crash.
22:20Peter tries to hold himself back,
22:22and he tells Nick Fury that he will make him a deal.
22:24Tell his guys to give him ten minutes,
22:25and he will surrender,
22:26and they'll all win.
22:27Otto laughs,
22:27stating that that's cute,
22:28but Nick isn't the one in charge here.
22:30We're gonna round up the Parkers
22:32and take them all back,
22:33and then we can use whatever forces needed.
22:34I can make more.
22:36Nick pauses for a moment,
22:37and then he tells his team,
22:38you heard the man,
22:39set up a perimeter around the building,
22:40and everyone move out.
22:41Otto asks,
22:42what are you doing?
22:43And Nick tells him,
22:44he's right,
22:44I'm not in charge here.
22:46So,
22:46go on,
22:47be in charge.
22:48As Nick shuts the door to leave,
22:49the six-armed Spider-Man pushes everyone aside
22:51and jumps on Otto,
22:52stating,
22:53hi, daddy!
22:54As he slams Otto down,
22:55the real Peter jumps in,
22:56and just as quickly is knocked away.
22:58The metal in the room begins to twist,
23:00and Otto shouts that he tried so hard
23:02to keep this part of his life secret.
23:04And that's when the metal pipe shoots in the air,
23:06impaling the six-armed Spider-Man,
23:07and Otto continues stating that it was the arms that made me.
23:11It was metal,
23:12and I can control metal.
23:13Outside,
23:14Nick Fury pulls out his gun,
23:15shouting for everyone to halt,
23:16and Henry walks up,
23:17stating,
23:18that's nice.
23:18I'm with the FBI,
23:19so no offense to you,
23:20but you should just stand down.
23:22Henry then asks,
23:23where's Otto?
23:23And Nick asks,
23:24who?
23:25The guy with the bull cut in the show
23:26that should be in jail at this very moment?
23:28Henry shouts for him to stop that,
23:30and Nick goes on stating that
23:31he wouldn't have made a deal with Otto
23:32to make super soldier clone experiments behind his back.
23:35And now it blew up in your face,
23:36and you're going to get fired,
23:38aren't you?
23:38Back inside,
23:39Otto creates more mechanical arms
23:40out of the scrap metal,
23:41shouting,
23:42that he will not mess around with them.
23:44Jessica needs to surrender,
23:45or I will kill her and clone another.
23:46Peter jumps at Otto,
23:48and Otto knocks him away,
23:49asking,
23:49who's next?
23:50One of the arms shoots back,
23:52hitting Jessica,
23:52and as she picks herself back up,
23:54she tries webbing up Otto Octavius.
23:56As the webbing hits the arms,
23:57Otto laughs,
23:58and then he launches one,
23:59slamming Jessica into the computers.
24:01Otto then turns back to Peter,
24:02shouting,
24:03you need to embrace your defeat!
24:04But this time,
24:05as the arm is thrown,
24:06Peter punches through it,
24:07shattering it.
24:08Otto then asks,
24:09what?
24:09No witty comment?
24:10That's how I know you're scared!
24:11Jessica shouts,
24:12no,
24:13that's not it.
24:13It's just how we know when he's being serious.
24:15And she swings in,
24:16kicking Otto to the ground.
24:17As Otto Octavius gets back up,
24:19all of the metal on the ground
24:21begins to swirl around,
24:22sucking everything up,
24:23and Otto shouts,
24:23why is it that you always have to involve yourself
24:25in my life's work?
24:26Just die already!
24:28As the metal flies around,
24:29Peter and Jessica jump along the arms,
24:31and together,
24:32they punch Otto Octavius right in the head.
24:34The metal in the room starts to fall,
24:35and Peter off stating,
24:37that felt good.
24:38And Jessica says,
24:39yeah,
24:39but it's kind of lame that it took both of us to do it.
24:42Jessica checks on the other two clones,
24:44and says that they're both dead.
24:45Peter says,
24:45this is all so weird.
24:47They need to go.
24:48She jumps up,
24:48stating that he can't be serious and surrender.
24:50Peter tells her that he has to.
24:52If he runs,
24:52they're going to chase him,
24:53and right now,
24:53Mary Jane and Aunt May's health is more important.
24:56Jessica leaps away,
24:57telling him that she isn't going to stick around here
24:59and argue with herself.
25:00Outside,
25:00Nick and Henry continue to bicker
25:02as Peter shuffles out,
25:03holding Otto's body.
25:04Nick asks,
25:05where's the girl?
25:06Peter says that she,
25:07um,
25:07left?
25:08There are two more clones aside,
25:09though,
25:09both dead,
25:10and Henry says that that's good.
25:11Peter looks at Henry and shouts,
25:12good?
25:13Tell me,
25:13because I would really like to know
25:15if there's any part of you that understands
25:17how insanely evil you really are.
25:19Henry turns back to Peter,
25:20and before he can yell,
25:21Johnny flies down,
25:22telling Peter that he has to come with him.
25:24He grabs a hold of Peter's arms,
25:25and he flies him over to the Baxter building,
25:27and inside of the lab,
25:28Dr. Franklin Storm looks over Mary Jane,
25:31and a read tells Peter
25:32that they isolated the Oz compound,
25:34but Mary Jane begins to toss and yell and turn,
25:36and then her eyes open as she sees Peter.
25:38She jumps out of bed running at him and asks,
25:40you're the real one, right?
25:41Mary Jane then looks around as he sees Johnny
25:43and asks,
25:43what's going on?
25:44Peter says that it's a long story.
25:46Otto cloned him and Gwen Stacy,
25:49and all of the clones escaped.
25:50Aunt May had a heart attack,
25:51and one of the clones kidnapped her.
25:52Mary Jane thinks about it and shouts,
25:54oh my god,
25:55a clone?
25:55But Johnny whispers to her that this is where she hugs him.
25:58She latches onto Peter,
26:00and Peter says that he's sorry,
26:01and she says that it wasn't his fault, right?
26:02So why apologize?
26:04Peter then says that he loves her.
26:05She was right and he was wrong.
26:06He almost lost.
26:07Peter looks at everyone,
26:08asking if she's going to be okay,
26:09and Reed says yes,
26:10they managed to remove the Oz formula,
26:12but they would still very much like to watch over Mary Jane
26:14for a little bit.
26:15And be it as it may,
26:16it may take some time,
26:17but they can cure him as well.
26:19Wouldn't have to be Spider-Man anymore
26:21if he didn't want to.
26:22Now that concludes the actual clone saga.
26:24There is a bit of an epilogue that goes to this,
26:26where we do dive into who's actually a clone and who's not.
26:28It's not nearly as convoluted as the original storyline
26:31from all the way back in the 90s,
26:32but it does clean up quite nicely,
26:34and this is the introduction of Spider-Woman
26:36to the Ultimate Universe,
26:37a clone of Peter Parker.
26:39Yes, as you discover as time goes on,
26:40she does have all of the memories
26:41of being Guy Peter Parker,
26:43and is attracted to Mary Jane,
26:45and it creates a kind of a weird situation for her.
26:47She was a very interesting character
26:48in the Ultimate Universe,
26:49but with the Ultimate Universe having ended,
26:51she's no longer around at all.
26:53Either way,
26:53the next thing that we're going to be jumping to
26:55is the next significant moment
26:56in the Ultimate Spider-Man storyline
26:58so that we can set up
26:59for the inevitable end
27:00of the Ultimate Spider-Man storyline,
27:01and I hope that you guys enjoyed this.
27:03If you are curious about Aunt May,
27:05of course,
27:06she does recover from the heart attack,
27:08and she is kind of okay with him being Spider-Man,
27:10though she does think the outfit's horrible.
