GTA III #16 | Final | The End of an Unstable Villain and Her Disturbed Mind (No Commentary)

Claude's life in Liberty City never stops—and this time, everything happens at once.

Asuka starts strong, asking Claude to "invite" some Cartel members to a slaughterhouse. Easy, right? Claude brings them all at once... and the Yakuza turn them into dust in seconds.

But Asuka doesn't stop there.

Not even close.

Next, she orders Claude to destroy the SPANK tents scattered across the three islands. And then she sends him to intercept Catalina's drug helicopter—because nothing is more "subtle" than blowing up a narcotics shipment in the middle of the night.

No one will suspect a thing... after all, the airport crew should be asleep.

Catalina's empire begins to crumble—and that's when everything goes wrong.

Back at the construction site (the old Colombian base now controlled by the Yakuza), Asuka is beating up Miguel for information while Maria, bored, tries to "help." Suddenly, Catalina strikes back: she kills Asuka, kills Miguel, kidnaps Maria, and demands $500,000 from Claude as ransom.

Why the ransom?

Perhaps to recoup SPANK's losses…
Perhaps just to spite Claude…
Probably both.

Claude pays anyway—because Maria is the closest thing he has to a friend in the whole city. But Catalina does what Catalina always does: betrays him, sets up an ambush, and escapes by helicopter.

Big mistake.

Claude eliminates all the Cartel's henchmen in the area, chases Catalina to her hideout, survives a small war, and shoots down her helicopter with an M16. Catalina dies as she lived: unhappy, bipolar, and full of drama.

Claude rescues Maria, and the two leave together…

until Maria starts talking.

Claude and Maria finally have a moment of peace—but whether they are a couple, nobody knows.
