00:02Hundreds of people were evacuated on Saturday night from a club in Kelle, southwest Germany,
00:09after a fire broke out. All of the roughly 750 people inside at the time were able to escape,
00:16with three people treated by emergency services. Police said the fire began at around 3.45am
00:24in the nightclub located in an industrial area and on the border with France.
00:31Firefighters were on the scene into Sunday afternoon, with remnants of the fire being put out in the interior of
00:37the nightclub.
00:39City authorities said the damage was so extensive that most of the building had to be torn down.
00:45The blaze came months after a bar in the Swiss ski resort of Kranz, Montana,
00:50caught fire in the early hours of New Year's Day, killing 41 people.
