00:20More than $43 million in investments for science and technology projects for Mexico and Latin America will be applied to initiatives presented during InnovaFest 2025, which was held at the Morelos Convention Center.
00:38The resources that the Economy Ministry is allocating this year should reach a figure close to $800 million, and the first transfer of the 2025 fiscal year has already been made.
00:51InnovaFest 2025 is a Mexican initiative that promotes technological development with a social focus, allowing scientific advances such as low-cost prosthetics to be applied for the well-being of people.
01:09Of course, for now it is for the service of Mexico, but we must all think about it and share it, for example with Latin America, where many prostheses are needed and it must be said, because of diabetes.
01:23We all know the problem of the diabetic foot.
01:29The gathering attracted more than 7,000 people, 80 investment funds, and 75 local and national research centers.
01:38For technological innovators, it is important to access these funds to accelerate the development of their projects.
01:48We are seeking investment through sponsors to carry out these kinds of projects, take them to the next level, commercialize them, and work on them together, so that both graduates of Marista University and the team's participants can begin to innovate in the Mexican aeronautical and space field.
02:03The goal of innovation in science is to replace imports in order to reduce the technological dependence of the national industrial sector.
02:15The government of Mexico believes that for the next edition of InnovaFest, in 2026, at least double the investment can be achieved for the development of science and technology projects, to benefit Mexico, and the region.
