00:00folks so the dehumidifier here stopped working and that didn't look good the
00:10basement lights were off and it was all moist and wet and I know the fan ran
00:19pretty good in this so first I took that out and check that switch there push
00:34that a couple times make sure it wasn't that and then I noticed the I don't know
00:46what that was there but there was a little dust on it and if it was a sensor
00:54or something I wanted to clear it off and see if that had anything to do with it
01:03but after no luck I had to take out these screws here open it up make sure it's
01:13unplugged see if there's a fuse or something in there you got a screw here
01:24and back and on the sides
01:31phillips screws
01:42and I just seen one of the other videos I have the filters right there
01:56take that out clean it since you have it out down here at the bottom all the same
02:09size screw pretty easy so there's one two three here and four and five at the bottom
02:30I wish I had one of those drill guns it'd be so much faster
02:48all right what else there's one at the top on the side on both sides
03:11all right so these have should separate but this top may not let me do that I don't see any screws on the top that might be a problem
03:39but if you lay the unit down
03:42you'll see you have another one here
03:48one here
03:55I don't see any on the bottom just the wheels
04:14let's get that one and then this one
04:21is that it
04:31I think I might have another on the side
04:37yeah see how that's coming up now
04:39so I just want to take a look in there because
04:42you figure it would slide
04:45slide off
04:48okay that's out that's out
04:58okay now at least I can see without breaking it
05:09if I can get this half over the plastic
05:19yeah I just want to take a look
05:25try the other side
05:28now at one point there's one here by the switch
05:36don't forget that one
05:39okay no more in there
05:52so up pull up
05:56and it separates more
05:59there's the fan
06:01there's the fan
06:02now I've seen the fan
06:04spinning slow once
06:06like it wanted to go
06:08and by the sound of it
06:10I want to see what's in the back of here
06:14by the sound of it
06:17there's a clip
06:18see right there
06:19a red clip
06:20the fan
06:23the fan sounded great
06:25I mean it never
06:26made any noises
06:28so I know
06:29this lasted for years now
06:32but
06:35the only thing I seen
06:38there was some
06:40dirt
06:42and dust
06:46right there
06:47make sure it's unplugged now
06:49and take something like a cloth or a brush
06:54and get that
06:56if that's a sensor
06:57just clear that
06:59of any
07:00even the spiders make cobwebs in there
07:05because there's a reason for that
07:11I think it's some sort of a sensor
07:13but
07:15I don't see anything else I really can do
07:21I tried tipping it upside down
07:25yeah
07:33one sec
07:35I'm going to flip it over
07:36alright so you don't want to mess around with the top
07:39unless you've figured it out
07:42because
07:42I don't want to break this
07:44and I know
07:46the top
07:49has all these
07:51controls
07:53and I don't want to
07:56break or remove them from the unit
07:58and I'm going to let it dry out a little too
08:02just in case
08:03there's too much moisture
08:05that's hitting
08:05the circuit board
08:08one sec
08:10then I'm going to put it back together
08:11this here is just
08:14where you would hook up
08:16a hose
08:17if you didn't want to keep
08:20changing the
08:22water pail there
08:24but I'm going to go ahead
08:28I'm going to put all the screws back in
08:30let it
08:35dry out
08:38for a couple minutes
08:39got a cloth
08:41and
08:42wiped it down
08:45see if it's just
08:50moisture thing
08:53because I noticed down in the basement
08:56even the treadmill
08:57circuit board
09:01once
09:02didn't start
09:06because
09:08it got too
09:09moist
09:09down here
09:11the dampness
09:16the lights
09:17you got to keep
09:18flicking on and off
09:19the
09:19fluorescent lights
09:21but once
09:23this thing's running
09:24and it all
09:26dries up
09:27just got to keep
09:32emptying that
09:33water pail
09:33probably should
09:35hook up some
09:36sort of hose
09:37all right
09:48let's get those
09:50we got the top
09:52screws
09:53one sec
09:56now we'll get that
09:58screw next to the switch
10:00important
10:01and then these
10:09four screws
10:12around the
10:12water bucket
10:17side
10:18I mean I forgot
10:25how much this costs
10:26but
10:27it's worth
10:30a shot
10:31just keep it
10:33unplugged
10:34and every time
10:35I try it out
10:38just
10:38plug it
10:40unplug it
10:41while you're not
10:43touching nothing
10:44except for the
10:47on off switch
10:48of course
10:49I think I'm
10:52almost done
10:53here
10:54I think I got
11:03to get that
11:03other side
11:04so we'll put
11:09the bucket
11:09back in
11:10put it
11:15set it up
11:15one sec
11:16oops
11:18almost forgot
11:19the filter
11:19there
11:20you can see
11:26how that
11:26says
11:26front
11:27and the
11:34bottom
11:34there
11:35it's a little
11:37little
11:39bit of work
11:41to get that
11:42in the slot
11:42up there
11:43all right
11:44let's
11:46unplug it
11:47plug it
11:47back in
11:48bring it
11:50back over
11:51to the
11:51corner
11:53there
11:53now if
11:55if you look
11:56directly down
11:57the vent
11:58you can see
11:59maybe get a
11:59flashlight
12:00you can see
12:01that fan
12:02move
12:03and sometimes
12:04it'll move
12:07slow
12:07like it's
12:09just
12:09just not
12:10get going
12:11so then I
12:12that's when I
12:12unplugged it
12:14plugged it
12:14back in
12:15see it's
12:16moving
12:17I'm gonna
12:17keep trying
12:18and then I
12:20even I think
12:21tipped it
12:22upside down
12:23and
12:25with it
12:26plugged in
12:27and
12:29if you can
12:30touch the
12:31controls
12:31I still
12:33let's see
12:35one sec
12:36let's try
12:38it out
12:38there it
12:44is
12:45now you
12:49press this
12:49for three
12:50seconds
12:51well I
12:53still can't
12:54get that
12:54one to
12:54work
12:55so maybe
12:56there's
12:57circuitry
12:57there
12:58but as
13:00long as
13:00it's
13:00working
13:01I'll keep
13:03the fan
13:04on high
13:05and then
13:06try that
13:07later
13:07just shut
13:09it off
13:10and back
13:13on
13:13so we'll
13:18say
13:18that sensor
13:21on the
13:21side
13:22I cleaned
13:24off
13:24cleared the
13:25dirt out
13:25of that
13:26or it
13:28could have
13:28just been
13:29that the
13:29circuitry
13:31was too
13:32wet
13:32you know
13:34just by
13:34unplugging
13:35it
13:35maybe an
13:38air gun
13:38or something
13:39or dry
13:39it somehow
13:40bring it
13:41outside
13:42let it
13:42dry
13:43alright
13:45so that'll
13:46be the end
13:46of this
13:46video
13:47glad I got
13:49it working
13:49and I hope
13:51you get
13:51yours working
13:52too
13:52take care
13:53thank you
