00:00When I watch what is happening in Minnesota, Somalians ripped off that state for billions of dollars.
00:09I don't want them in our country. Their country's no good for a reason. Their country stinks.
00:15We're going to go the wrong way if we keep taking in garbage into our country.
00:19In a furious rant, President Trump bitterly berated the Somalian migrants in Minnesota
00:23as garbage, as his administration has opened a new front in its immigration crackdown.
00:30By targeting illegal Somali immigrants in Minneapolis, with a push of more than 100 ICE agents.
00:36The operation follows a stunning report that scammers in the Somali migrant community
00:41have engaged in massive fraud, costing Minnesota taxpayers some $1 billion.
00:47Here's everything you need to know.
00:50Immigration agents are targeting as many as 500 Somalis illegally in the city,
00:54which is home to the U.S.'s largest population from the war-torn East African nation.
00:59Estimated at over 80,000, according to several reports.
01:03Video has emerged on social media purporting to show that the crackdown has already begun.
01:08You just leave.
01:09You're Somalian, right?
01:10Yeah, I'm Somalian, and I'm a United States citizen, **** boy.
01:12According to the Department of Homeland Security, at least a dozen criminal illegal immigrants,
01:17five of whom are Somalian, have been arrested during Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis.
01:22DHS reports those arrested include child sex offenders, domestic abusers, and violent gang members.
01:30The Justice Department also filed federal charges Thursday against a Somali convicted sex offender in Minnesota
01:36who allegedly kidnapped and raped a woman he met on Snapchat in September.
01:41On Friday, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi ripped the state for allowing the convicted serial rapist to walk free,
01:48just months before he committed another horrific kidnapping and rape.
01:52He's convicted in state court of both rapes.
01:56They let him walk out the door.
01:59The last two, one involved a 15-year-old girl.
02:02The second one, he held a woman in a hotel room for days and days and days and raped her repeatedly. Disgusting.
02:09The deployment of federal troops comes after a cabinet meeting in which Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem
02:15went scorched earth on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, claiming half of all visa holders in the state
02:21had engaged in some form of immigration fraud.
02:23You told me to look into Minnesota and their fraud on visas and their programs.
02:30Fifty percent of them are fraudulent, which means that that wacko Governor Walz
02:36is an idiot or he did it on purpose. And I think he's both, sir.
02:42In the same cold-blooded meeting, Trump also viciously went after squad rep, Minnesota Democrat, Ilhan Omar.
02:49Ilhan Omar is garbage. She's garbage. Her friends are garbage.
02:54And I think she's an incompetent person. She's a real terrible person.
03:00As the Trump administration's illegal immigration crackdown got underway in the Twin Cities,
03:06Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara urged in a press conference for residents to call 911
03:11if they see masked officers, quote, kidnapping people during the immigration sweep.
03:16We have experienced reports in this city, and I'm sure in St. Paul also, where people call to say that there's
03:23folks that are masked, that they're not sure if they're law enforcement, that they may be kidnapping people.
03:30If you see something like that, that is legitimate, that you don't know if someone is law enforcement,
03:35you should call 911.
03:37At the same press conference, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey decided to deliver a message in Somali,
03:43vowing to defend their community.
03:44The state of Minnesota has been plagued by several high-profile fraud scandals in recent years,
04:13the largest being the Feeding Our Future scheme, in which 78 scammers, often from Somalia,
04:19have been prosecuted in the COVID-era food relief program scam.
04:23The ploy, according to prosecutors, involved funneling money from state social services coffers,
04:29including at the Department of Human Services and Department of Education, to the non-profit
04:34Feeding Our Future and other organizations to ostensibly feed school children.
04:38Instead, the plot used the funds to splurge on the lavish lifestyles of the non-profit's workers.
04:45According to Minnesota education officials, Feeding Our Future and its affiliated groups submitted over
04:50$500 million in claims, while House Oversight Chair James Comer alleges the true losses may have climbed
04:57toward $1 billion. The DOJ has already convicted 49 fraudsters in the scheme.
05:03Troubling reports also allege that millions of the stolen taxpayer dollars may have been funneled to
05:08Somalia-based terror group Al-Shabaab, according to counterterrorism sources.
05:14In a statement to the Post, Comer slammed Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz over the massive fraud scheme,
05:19vowing that his panel would be conducting a thorough investigation into his, quote,
05:24failure to safeguard taxpayer dollars as a result. Because of Governor Waltz's negligence, criminals,
05:30including Somali terrorists, stole nearly $1 billion from the program while children suffered,
05:36he said. Reps for Waltz's office did not respond to a request for comment.
