00:01In Colombia, the candidates for the Historic Pact Coalition were registered Friday for the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate ahead of the 2026 general elections.
00:10The registration was made at a political event attended by its members, where the Unitarios and Fuerza Ciudadana Communes coalitions were also formally registered, with Carolina Corcho heading the list for the Senate.
00:21On the other hand, presidential candidate Ivan Zepeda emphasized that all his candidates were chosen in an exemplary manner through citizens voting in full exercise of democracy.
00:39We are officially registering our lists for the Senate and the House of Representatives.
00:44And we are doing so by setting an example, by being the first to have carried out, through popular election, using fully democratic practices to select each and every one of our candidates for both Congress and the Presidency.
01:08And Zepeda said that the Historic Pact seeks to consolidate the social achievements of President Gustavo Petro's administration.
01:20That public confidence expresses our conviction that our supreme leader is the Colombian people.
01:30To whom we are indebted, that mandate is to deepen the reforms and social achievements we have obtained in this government.
01:48And also to advance in historic transformations.
01:52That will make the social and political ethical revolution we propose for Colombia, a revolutionary revolution.
