00:00In Colombia, the History Pack Party presented a formal complaint to the National Electoral Council.
00:06The coalition seeks to stop the defamatory campaign against candidate Iván Cepeda-Castro.
00:11The complaint states that the election campaign's material displayed in the city of Cali
00:17not only contains false and taken out of context statements against presidential candidate Iván Cepeda,
00:23but also that it may have been financed or regularly violating the spending limits on transparency rules established by Colombian
00:32law.
00:32In this regard, the History Pack Party requested that the National Electoral Council adopt urgent precautionary measures,
00:39including the immediate removal of the posters, as well as the opening of a throughout investigation
00:45to determine those responsible, both materially and intellectually,
00:49for what they consider an attempt to sabotage democratic guarantees in the midst of the election campaign.
