00:42For this election, the National Office of Electoral Processes registered an unprecedented number
00:49of 35 presidential candidates, as well as 130 deputies and 60 senators
00:56who will make up the Congress of the Republic for the next legislative term.
01:03More than 33 million Peruvians will go to the polls in a first round,
01:08and the candidate who obtains 50% plus one of the votes will be elected president.
01:15If this requirement is not met, a second round will be held, scheduled for June 7, 2026.
01:24There are thousands of polling stations nationwide and 216 voting locations across 75 countries
01:33to guarantee the voting rights of all citizens.
