00:00hey guys so okay i'm back now with uh my headphones um they broke again
00:07so here's what you'll need you got a soldering iron
00:11uh here's the solder cost me five bucks probably from china on ebay um here's the headphones that
00:23broke so i got a screwdriver or something and i popped the uh left and right speakers always
00:35sounded good so i'm gonna keep this headset with the speakers there was a hole um and
00:45you could see that there was a rubber stopper and i pulled it out um both sides and there's the uh
00:55cushions there the ear cushions so we'll put that aside for now except for one
01:01of the we're gonna solder now we need the real wire where did i get the real wire
01:09well there's four here i was able to um splice it or um strip off the ends with my fingernails
01:19and nothing broke um it's off of an old useless keyboard usb keyboard that didn't work so i cut
01:33the end and i cut the uh usb part out through that out i think that's over there on the floor
01:42so we get rid of the keyboard and now i'm gonna pause this you can actually see well i don't have
01:51good lighting here you can see a plus and a minus it really doesn't matter uh because it's only gonna
01:58go one way so i'm gonna pause this and then i'm gonna solder it okay so i soldered the red to the
02:05positive and the black to the negative but you also can figure it out later on the other end of the wire
02:11because i always like to play something um as i'm working on it to make sure it's gonna be a good
02:20connection um so i actually have two extra wires left over so if i had a problem but these are thicker
02:30so i doubt i'll have a problem i'll probably have a problem with the maybe the ear connection or
02:36something so i'm gonna do the other one and i'll pause it again okay other one soldered now what i did
02:44is i fed is i fed it through and yeah i can't do this with two hands i'm gonna pause it again and pull it through
02:55now i should be able there it goes we'll snap it together you can see there's the now i might put some uh
03:07gorilla glue or something on that just to to keep it uh based uh so it doesn't move so i don't yank it
03:15out okay i'm gonna pause it again okay that was about uh three four minutes there um so now i have
03:25the headphones with the two ends and uh i only uh took the ends off the wire i'm gonna use so the other
03:36two wires won't interfere with any of the connection so now i'm gonna hook it up to the headphone jack
03:54okay now we're back the jack i'm not going to solder those yet i'm just probably going to tape them up
04:00but here is the right side and here is the left side
04:09now if you're going to use uh the left and right balance then you might have to play around with
04:16the wires a little more but i should be set for at least a year or so and even if the wires break now
04:23you have all this slack that you can uh fix it over and over again plenty of solder to
04:31you know right up until you have a problem with the speakers okay thanks
