00:00So if you think someone just ruined the entire Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie for you,
00:10don't raise the alarm just yet. An anonymous YouTube user uploaded what was supposedly
00:15the full Ryan Reynolds movie onto the social platform and tweeted it out on Tuesday,
00:20gaining almost 42,000 likes and almost 20,000 retweets and over 5 million YouTube views.
00:26But fans that were expecting to skip the theater and see the free version were in for
00:30a bit of a surprise. The whole two-hour file is actually just two hours of Pikachu
00:34dancing around having a grand old time.
00:41Ah, gotta love the internet. Reynolds, who voices the title character and seems like
00:45he could appreciate a good trolling moment, shared the link on Twitter writing,
00:49um, attention at DetectivePikachuMovie at Warner Bros., and tagged the account as if you were reporting it.
00:55I gotta hand it to the trolling skills in this video because it opens with the logos for
00:59Warner Bros. Pictures, Legendary and the Pokemon Company, which all fade out.
01:03So a lot of people probably thought they were getting their hands on the real deal.
01:06The video even begins with the movie's protagonist, Tim Goodman, played by Justice Smith,
01:10walking through the city streets for a brief moment before the movie then cuts to Pikachu
01:15dancing around for the rest of the time. Now if you want to see the actual Pokemon Detective
01:19Pikachu movie, the film is due in theaters on May 10th. For more on this story, head to THR.com.
01:23And until next time, for The Hollywood Reporter News, I'm Neha Joy.
