Britain’s Prince William, the Prince of Wales, attended the Wales Investment Summit in Newport on Monday, December 1, hosted by the Welsh Government. The royal toured KLA’s newly expanded semiconductor facility, which features advanced manufacturing and R&D spaces supporting up to 750 employees.

During the summit, Prince William delivered a keynote speech highlighting Wales’ potential as a hub for sustainable economic growth, innovation, and renewable energy. He emphasized the country’s position as “one of the most significant centres of renewable resources in all of Europe,” positioning Wales as a global leader in clean-energy investment and industrial development.

The summit brings together national and international investors, policymakers, and industry leaders to showcase Wales’ economic opportunities and attract further investment in high-tech and green industries.
