00:00We'll go as deep as you want, at the same time, we can cut the energy intensity of that
00:30because they'll also clip on the compressors, chillers, boilers, all the production equipment
00:35and we can pinpoint where to improve energy efficiency as well.
00:38Really impressive. And how new is this kit to AI development? Is this really cutting edge?
00:43It's getting better every second. So we release 100 plus new features a year.
00:47The AI that we have, the ultra-rare event detection on these machines, there's no other AI like it.
00:53Alright, we're going to move on to some. Thank you so much.
00:55Thank you so much.
00:58Alright, we're going to move on.
01:00We did recently with a designer in New York called Mara Hoffman.
01:03It's worth touching and feeling.
01:05Alright, we'll sit down.
01:06This is Liacell. So this was made from the cotton that came from the waist poly cotton.
01:11We turned this into cellulose pulp.
01:13This is waist poly cotton.
01:14So what we do is we take the cotton cellulose and we turn that into a man-made fiber called Liacell.
01:23You must know it from the suit linings.
01:34Please welcome to the stage, founder and president of the Earthshot Prize, His Royal Highness Prince William.
01:41Thank you.
01:52Thank you to Bill Gates and Breakthrough Energy for bringing together this brilliant collection of investors, philanthropists and environmental innovators.
02:01And for inviting me to join you today.
02:03For me, a big part of this week is about celebration.
02:07Celebrating the incredible minds that are working all around the world night and day on climate solutions.
02:14Celebrating the individuals and organizations who are supporting them.
02:19And celebrating the progress we have already made.
02:22Back in 2020, inspired by the wealth of climate creativity and innovation I saw in the United Kingdom and around the globe.
02:31I started having conversations about how to mobilize the enormous power of innovators to repair and regenerate our planet by 2030.
02:40Fast forward four years and the Earthshot Prize and its partners have identified over 3,000 of the best environmental solutions scouring every corner of the planet.
02:51We have spotlighted 45 solutions with the promise of global impact as finalists for the Earthshot Prize.
02:58And we will celebrate another 15 finalists later this year in Cape Town.
03:02It is in part thanks to those who believed in us in those early days that we have been able to get to where we are today.
03:09The support of Breakthrough Energy as one of our founding partners has been crucial to the success of the prize.
03:16For me, the magic behind the success we have enjoyed so far has been the powerful model for growth that we have built.
03:25We are not only discovering, selecting and awarding transformative solutions from around the world.
03:30We are also shining a light on them.
03:33Introducing them to networks of influence and resources and providing them with vital communities of support.
03:40As well as awarding £15 million in prize money to date, we have helped catalyze £70 million in additional investment in support of our finalists.
03:50By leveraging over close partnerships and expansive networks.
03:55This is why I believe platforms like the Earthshot Prize and Breakthrough Energy are so critical to accelerating, replicating and scaling solutions like the ones here today.
04:07It is no surprise that many of Earthshot Prize finalists and winners are also Breakthrough Fellows.
04:14Together with the support of the Earthshot Prize and Breakthrough Energy, environmental solutions like CERC's recycled fabrics, 4401's natural carbon capture technology and Takachar's mobile bioreactors are all on a fast track to deliver real impact around the world.
04:32This is what gives me hope that we are taking the right steps to repair our planet.
04:39CERC has partnered with some of the world's biggest fashion brands to start to tackle the massive challenge of textile waste.
04:464401 is working with national governments to remove carbon pollution from the air and store it safely underground.
04:55And Takachar is working with the World Food Programme to reduce crop waste and create additional income for rural farmers.
05:04And they are just getting started.
05:07Today we celebrate the innovators, entrepreneurs and optimists as well as the allies and investors providing the necessary support along their journey to scale.
05:17Together we will create a sustainable future for generations to come.
05:22Thank you.
05:26Thank you, thank you, thank you Prince William. Wow, right?
