00:12Gifford and her co-host began their first segment by discussing why their portion of Today has been beloved by viewers over the years.

00:18Kotb credited Gifford for the success of the show.

00:21Two shows have worked really well in the history of daytime television.

00:24Regis and Kathie Lee, and Kathie Lee and me.

00:28Shortly after, Gifford received a message from her former co-host of 15 years, Regis Philbin.

00:36I want you to know how I will always remember the great times that we had working together, and how you are as a person just great.

00:46As part of the goodbye celebrations, the pair also reflected on the special bond they shared over the past 11 years.

00:51We share life together, and I think it would be that childlike sense of wonder, which she protects.
