00:00The MoviePass drama continues. According to a new poll, customer satisfaction is
00:05plummeting, as nearly half of users consider bolting. Just four months ago, a resounding
00:1083 percent of MoviePass patrons were more satisfied with the company than any other
00:15monthly subscription service, like Netflix. But the dog days of summer have drug MoviePass
00:20down. According to a follow-up survey by the National Research Group exclusively for
00:24The Hollywood Reporter, fast-forward to August and that number of very satisfied customers
00:29has plummeted to 48 percent. And 47 percent of the MoviePass customers polled are considering
00:35canceling their membership, while 37 percent say they are sticking around. NRG CEO John Penn said,
00:42By constantly changing the terms of service, limiting which film subscribers could see
00:47and when they could see them, MoviePass has eroded brand trust and undermined their leadership
00:52position. It's unclear how many subscribers the service currently has or how many it has lost.
00:58But the survey found there is still an appetite for movie ticket subscription services,
01:03with 39 percent of moviegoers expressing definite interest in a sustainable plan.
01:0823 percent of the total people polled by NRG said they are in favor of AMC Theatre's 1995 monthly plan,
01:15which allows customers to see three movies per month in any format.
