00:09a new survey of Disney Plus subscribers
00:12suggests that the most viewed content category
00:14on the platform isn't Star Wars films,
00:17Marvel flicks, or the new originals,
00:19but it's a library of vault classics
00:21like The Lion King and Mary Poppins.
00:23First of all, I would like to make one thing quite clear.

00:28I never explain anything.
00:30According to a new Hollywood Reporter and Morning Consult poll
00:32conducted among 496 Disney Plus subscribers in the US,
00:36roughly 22% of Disney Plus subscribers
00:38among all age groups say they watch classics
00:41like The Little Mermaid or 101 Dalmatians,
00:43the most on the platform.
00:45Topping those who cite their number one viewing choice
00:47as Star Wars, 21%, Marvel, 15%, Pixar, 14%,
00:53Disney Channel, 9%, The Simpsons, 5%,
00:56National Geographic, 3%, or Disney Plus originals,
00:59like the Christmas movie Noelle, or the live action Lady
01:01and the Tramp, with 2%.

01:07This is something else.
01:10Now, among the millennial subscriber group ages 23 to 38,
01:12about 25% of respondents cited Disney classics
01:15as their most viewed category, while subscribers in the Gen Z group,
01:19ages 18 to 22 were most likely to cite Pixar titles like Toy Story
01:22or Disney Channel content like Lizzie McGuire as their most viewed.

01:31Meanwhile, Star Wars was the most watched category cited by Disney Plus subscribers
01:35in the Gen X age group, aka 39 to 54, as well as the Boomer group, age 55 to 79.
01:42And it's worth noting that across all age groups,
01:44The Simpsons was cited by 37% of subscribers as a category that they never viewed.
01:49Disney Plus launched with a $7 per month price tag back on November 12th.
