00:03Now, I was at the game, so I wasn't watching on television.

00:08But a ton of people were complaining about one specific thing on television.

00:35So Marcus Mariota, he's been in the NFL.

00:39Marcus Mariota has been a household name for a number of years.

00:44This is a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback, number two overall pick.

00:48He's 32 years old.

00:50We've been watching Mariota play football at a really high level for 10, 12 years.

00:55It's pretty widely established how you say Marcus Mariota.

00:59And then my man Chris Collinsworth said this repeatedly.

01:03And I do think Mariota at that point said, I'm Mariota.

01:08Yeah.

01:08Give me one more time, Landville.

01:11And I do think Mariota at that point...

01:14You know what happens, though, with Chris Collinsworth?

01:17What is he doing?

01:20Mariota probably told him the proper way of saying it.

01:23So, and I've been in these meetings where people give you little tidbits.

01:31And if the guy had been in the league for eight, nine years or so,

01:36and he'd been calling him Mariota or Mariota,

01:40I'm going to keep calling you that.

01:43But when you tell me, oh, it's Mariota or whatever,

01:47I'm not going to go change it up.

01:48And I'm not going to try to one-up nobody.

01:50He's, you know, he tries to one-up people now.

01:54So, I can see them telling him how they pronounce it back in this place.

01:58And he decides, okay, well, I'm going to call it hi.

02:01This is going to make me different.

02:03You're always looking for some angle in the call game.

02:06It kind of reminded me of when the Browns were on Hard Knocks

02:11and we found out that everybody was saying Tyrod Taylor's name wrong.

02:16Tyrod, yeah.

02:18That was before he got stabbed in the lung by the Chargers team doctor.

02:22Justin Herbert got an opportunity to start.

02:25The doctor tried to put Tyrod in his stem.

02:27I'm trying to think who it was.

02:30There was a commanders player that had like a unique pronunciation of his name.

02:35And he was just like, yeah, I don't care.

02:37Say whatever.
