00:00Police have confirmed to us that they're searching for that 18-year-old out on the water and in the
00:06skies today. We know that he's a school leaver from Sydney, a boarder at King's College. He was
00:13travelling to Southwest Rocks with a group of friends celebrating schoolies when he went for
00:18a late afternoon dip yesterday afternoon. Now, he went for a swim at Little Bay Beach, which is just
00:23around the corner behind me, when he got trapped in a rip. His friends trying to go after him to
00:29pull him to shore. His friends were ones who tried to help, but also a member of the national parks
00:34was also on hand, and he was also here trying to get him out of the water. Now, this is a major
00:40multi-agency search, Melissa. We've got marine rescue out there, police marine area command,
00:45lifeguards on jet skis and in boats searching for this swimmer. The search got called off late
00:51yesterday night when it got too dark, but they were back out there at 8am this morning. Major,
00:56major efforts to find him. You've got marine area command back there as well, and they're really
01:02looking hard. This is the third incident on our beaches in the last week or so. On Friday afternoon
01:08at Crescent Head, a 59-year-old man lost his life after he also got stuck in a rip on one of these
01:14remote beaches. Now, he was pulled to shore by bystanders and two off-duty lifeguards also
01:19celebrating schoolies were able to administer CPR, but sadly he could not be saved. There was also
01:25obviously the incident on Thursday night with our Swiss tourists who were attacked by that shark. So
01:31a warning from lifeguards today to take care, particularly on remote beaches, as the weather heats up.
