00:00If you've been missing Tamron Hall on NBC's Today, get excited. The former Morning Show
00:05co-anchor is partnering with Weinstein Television for a new daytime talk show.
00:09The Untitled Project, currently in development, will feature a mix of current events,
00:13human interest stories, and in-depth celebrity and newsmaker interviews. The Daily series
00:19will also be shot in front of a live studio audience. Hall will co-create and executive
00:23produce. No network is attached yet. Additionally, the Weinstein Company and Hall will work together
00:29on developing other non-scripted programming. Harvey Weinstein said in a statement,
00:33"...I've been working towards developing a talk show for a long time, but needed to make sure
00:37I did it the right way and with the right person to take the lead. Tamron is far and away that person.
00:43She's an exceptionally talented journalist whose interviews masterfully walk the line
00:48between entertainment and hard-hitting." The project comes nearly six months after Hall's
00:52departure from Today, where she had co-anchored the Morning Show's 9AM Hour for three years,
00:57in addition to hosting her own daily MSNBC show, MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall. Hall exited NBC
01:04and MSNBC at the same time talks began about where NBC News edition Megyn Kelly would land as part of
01:10her massive overall deal at the network. As rumored when Hall left NBC, Kelly is set to take over
01:15the 9AM Hour in September, with a new program that comes in addition to her recently launched
01:20Sunday news magazine show. While Hall has proven herself a draw, daytime television has failed to launch
01:25celebrity talk shows in recent years. Two other prominent Today talents, Katie Couric and Meredith
01:30Vieira, both saw their daytime series axed after just two seasons. The project would mark
01:35Weinstein Television's first venture into daytime. The company's other unscripted shows include
01:40the long-running Project Runway and its various offshoots. For more on this story, check out
