Los Angeles police have identified a man they suspect shot and killed rapper Nipsey Hussle on Sunday.

00:04Los Angeles police have identified a man who they suspect was the perpetrator.
00:08Police are looking for 29-year-old Eric Holder of Los Angeles who has been linked to the
00:12fatal shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in the air of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard.
00:17Police say Holder was last seen in a 2016 white four-door Chevy Cruze, California
00:22license plate 7RJD742. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
00:28Police told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday that the manhunt for the assassin was
00:32huge and described it as an all-hands-on-deck operation. Hussle died at around 4 pm Pacific
00:38after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. The Grammy-nominated rapper was just 33 years old.
00:43After his autopsy was conducted Monday, the L.A. County coroner determined the rapper died from
00:48gunshot wounds to the head and torso, with his death being certified as a homicide.
00:53Two others were also shot but survived. The brutal death of the beloved community
00:57activist sent shockwaves through the music, sports and entertainment worlds.
01:01Some of the bigger stars across the industries turned to social media to share their heartbreak
01:05and anger, including Meek Mill, Pharrell Williams, Chance the Rapper, LeBron James and Ava DuVernay,
01:13just to name a few.
01:15On Sunday, LAPD Commissioner Steve Soboroff revealed that plans had been put in place for the
01:20rapper and some of his crew to sit down with police to discuss ways he could help combat gang violence
01:24and help us help kids, he said. I'm so very sad.
01:28On Monday, Soboroff confirmed to THR that the meeting will still take place in Hussle's honor.
01:33Not even an hour after the shooting, hundreds gathered near the crime scene Sunday to mourn
01:37the late rapper. His music blasting, fans and community members, many carrying signs,
01:42gathered to honor the slain artist and to console one another.
01:45At a media conference held Tuesday, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti told reporters that it had been a
01:49tough few days for the city. Said Garcetti, he was a tireless advocate for the young people of the city
01:55and of this world to lift them up. His impact on our city was deep.
01:59The man noted that there has been an increase of gun violence in South L.A. which police are
02:03working to combat. Meanwhile, LAPD Chief Michael Moore called the murder another senseless homicide,
02:09saying he was devastated and labeled Holder as a substantial risk to public safety and asked
02:14that he surrendered to police. Police said Holder had a personal dispute with the rapper but
02:19declined to say over what. We believe they were known to each other, they said.
