While on the 'Tamron Hall' show, actor and comedian Kenan Thompson, who rose to fame following his roles on Nickelodeon shows 'Kenan & Kel' and 'All That' in the late '90s and early 2000s, recently opened up about his experience working on the network.

00:00Supposed to be a safe space, you know, it's supposed to be a safe place for kids.

00:02And like, to hear all about that is just like, how dare you?

00:08Kenan Thompson is speaking out following the shocking allegations on Nickelodeon sets

00:12revealed in the docu-series Quiet On Set, The Dark Side of Kids TV.

00:17While on the Tamron Hall show, the actor and comedian who rose to fame following his roles

00:21on Nickelodeon shows, Kenan and Kel and All That in the late 90s and early 2000s,

00:26recently opened up about his experience working on the network.

00:30Dan wasn't really on Kenan and Kel like that.

00:32I mean, he got it created by credit, but, you know, it was a different showrunner.

00:35So our worlds weren't really like overly, you know, overlapping like that outside of all that.

00:41He continued, all that negativity kind of started happening outside of our tenure there.

00:45I wasn't really aware of a lot of it, but my heart goes out to, you know,

00:49anybody that's been victimized or their families, you know what I mean?

00:52He added, I think it's a good thing that the doc is out and it's putting things on display,

00:56stories that need to be told for this accountability sake.

01:00So to hear that they've gone through terrible things like that is just, it's really tough.

01:08Thompson joins a growing list of former Nickelodeon stars, including Drake, Bell,

01:12Josh Peck, and others who have addressed the allegations that came out of

01:15Investigation Discovery's four-part docuseries,

01:18which outlines allegations of abuse, sexism, racism, and inappropriate behavior

01:23involving underage stars and crew members on Nickelodeon TV show sets.
