00:00You're looking amazing as always.
00:01Who makes this?
00:02This is Atelier Versace custom.
00:05Isn't that beautiful?
00:06Yeah, Donatella was just sewing it last night on her own.
00:09No, she wasn't, but her team was, but that was pretty awesome.
00:12The vision this award season has been so magnificent.
00:14I mean, there's a lot of custom looks in there, but
00:16tell me how much fun you're having with the various looks.
00:19And are you paying attention to the fashion commentary on TickCock and
00:22all the people who love you?
00:23You know, people tell me exactly what's going on on commentary,
00:27which is beautiful.
00:28I've always had a great time telling a story with clothing.
00:31And now I get to collaborate with these incredible designers and
00:34my stylist, Wayman and Micah.
00:35They're very much really helping me craft that story in every,
00:38every single room that I go into.
00:39And I feel like that's important.
00:41I feel like it's important is whatever I say is the way I look.
00:44Last question, Rustin, Nat King Cole, Joe Jackson.
00:48It's a different challenge playing real life people, but
00:51a new thing that you have obviously nailed.
00:53Why are you so gravitated towards these historical stories?
00:58You know, I've always wanted to do, really, the funny thing is,
01:01just in this succession, I've been playing real life characters.
01:04And that's rare for me.
01:05I've always played fictionalized characters where I built them from the ground up.
01:08So this is a, it's a new challenge for me.
01:10So I feel like I'm doing newer things in my career.
01:12And of course, I will do more fictional characters as well.
01:14But it presents a great challenge to really try to find their humanity and
01:19make sure that you're really crafting such a three dimensional character and
01:23not someone that's just the court of public opinion has an idea about.
01:28So for me, it's about deconstructing this person and
01:30making them human and showing all parts of them.
01:33Yeah, of course they do.
01:35Everyone has ideas about Joe Jackson or by Rustin or whoever.
01:39But I feel like it's my job to find what I love about them and
01:42what makes them tick and what makes them human.
