Evidence suggests that the advancements in weaponry, technology, air travel, and even space exploration, which exceeded our highest expectations in the 1950s, may be the result of an alliance made between the United States Government and Extraterrestrials from another solar system. Examination of the Alien / UFO phenomenon during the Eisenhower era and the events that lead to the establishment of the industrial military complex. Explore the web of black projects and top secret operations with Larry Holcombe, author of the best selling book, "The Presidents and UFO's" in this fascinating and revealing feature documentary.

00:00:30Six, five, four, three, two, one, zero.
00:00:59What's going on, bro? There's a whole fleet of them. Look on the ASA. Oh my gosh.
00:01:08They're all going against the wind. The wind's 120 knots from the west.
00:01:12Hold on to that thing, dude.
00:01:22That's not our LNS though, is it? It's not our LNS, dude.
00:01:26What is that thing? It's rotating.
00:01:29To this day, people from all over the world claim to witness aerial phenomena that defy
00:01:41the current laws of physics as we know them, with reports ranging in the tens of millions
00:01:46since the 1940s. Descriptions of aerial craft spanning a vast array of shapes and sizes,
00:01:53as well as the peculiar and diverse species of occupants who accompany them.
00:02:03UFO reports have been collected, researched, and documented for decades.
00:02:07For the most part, if we are to believe the findings of the U.S. government's own investigation into UFOs
00:02:14through its program, Project Blue Book, then a vast percentage of cases have a very rational
00:02:19explanation behind them.
00:02:22The misidentification of airplanes, planets, and strange weather anomalies, to name a few.
00:02:28However, a large number of cases remain that simply cannot be explained away.
00:02:35Especially when considering the countless testimonies from such highly credible witnesses as commercial
00:02:45airline and military pilots, police officials, and first responders.
00:02:50In addition, are the mounting files of the classified documents, video and photographic images, and even
00:02:59physical evidence, collected to substantiate their claims.
00:03:07As years go by, it is obvious that UFO sightings have not ceased.
00:03:13To the contrary, sightings throughout the world are continuing more than ever.
00:03:17What is categorically undeniable is that people are truly experiencing phenomena that are very
00:03:26real, and that the origins of this phenomenon may very well be from another world.
00:03:36And we may discover the truth sooner than later, as the hint of disclosure is slowly coming forth
00:03:43to the public.
00:03:44In fact, at the time of producing this documentary, more information on the topic of UFOs is gradually
00:03:52being released to the New York Times from the Pentagon on an almost daily basis.
00:03:59But if this is the case, that a full disclosure of the government's knowledge and involvement
00:04:05into the matter of UFOs be imminent, then why the grounds for secrecy in the first place?
00:04:10And what becomes of the legacies of those who previously came forth, only to have their
00:04:19lives destroyed by ridicule, harassment, and in some cases, death?
00:04:25The unbelievable possibility of our planet being visited by otherworldly beings is
00:04:37groundbreaking, historic in epic proportions, and nonetheless, very real.
00:04:44Yet what is even more unbelievable is the inconceivable notion that the citizens of planet Earth have been denied
00:04:52the truth that visitations of extraterrestrials to our planet exists.
00:04:58Why?
00:04:59Why may the single most significant discovery in humankind be kept a secret under a veil of
00:05:06mystery, murder, intrigue, and national security?
00:05:11Is there one single person, or group for that matter, who possess all knowledge of the existence
00:05:20of extraterrestrials and their visitations to Earth?
00:05:24What is the truth?
00:05:26Why keep it secret?
00:05:28And most importantly, who's in charge?
00:05:31At the end of Dwight D. Eisenhower's presidency, having fulfilled two successful terms as
00:05:48commander-in-chief of perhaps the greatest military power on Earth, his farewell address to the nation
00:05:56sounds more like a warning than that of a goodbye.
00:06:00In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence,
00:06:06whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex.
00:06:12The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
00:06:18We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.
00:06:24Could it be that this great power that he termed the military-industrial complex
00:06:29eventually become so powerful that perhaps one day, even its very own leaders could be phased out?
00:06:38Was this a warning that the fate of future presidents will find themselves helpless
00:06:44against controlling what actions, advancements, and procedures are underway within the military-industrial complex
00:06:50under the guise of black ops?
00:06:54Or was he ominously stating that it had already begun?
00:07:00If this is so, how did this happen?
00:07:04When?
00:07:05And who is now pulling the strings?
00:07:08The answers lay within a vast and tangled web,
00:07:12where no single person controls everything.
00:07:14Wrapped in a weave of secret projects and black operations, resides the military-industrial complex.
00:07:23There, you will find government, military, and private sector companies working,
00:07:29though not always together.
00:07:32They set their own agendas,
00:07:34their own hours of operation,
00:07:36their own policies,
00:07:38and most disturbing,
00:07:39their own laws.
00:07:41Their specialties range from photographic, metallurgy, and propulsion research,
00:07:51to highly advanced weaponry and aerospace technology.
00:07:55In fact, the 1950s saw an amazing surge of advancements in weapons and aerospace technology
00:08:03under the operations of the military-industrial complex.
00:08:07Yet it is impossible to also overlook the fact that
00:08:10the 1950s saw its greatest surge in UFO activity as well.
00:08:16Some will argue that this was the most significant era for UFO sightings.
00:08:27Just four months prior to Eisenhower's election,
00:08:31the news outlets were filled with headlines
00:08:33that UFOs had been seen flying over Washington, D.C.
00:08:37in what appeared to be a massive wave of sightings that lasted for several days.
00:08:43Was this a message?
00:08:45A warning?
00:08:46According to the Air Force,
00:08:49and despite radar,
00:08:50eyewitnesses,
00:08:51and even photographic evidence,
00:08:54the official conclusion
00:08:55was that it was all a glitch in the radar,
00:08:59a mirage
00:08:59caused by temperature inversions.
00:09:05This event did, however,
00:09:07lead to the formation of a scientific examination
00:09:09on just what UFOs were
00:09:11and their effect on the American people.
00:09:13This was known as the Robertson Panel.
00:09:19In the first half of 1952,
00:09:27during the span of several months,
00:09:30reports of unidentified flying objects
00:09:32were coming in at an alarming rate,
00:09:35while at the same time,
00:09:37U.S. relations with the Soviet Union
00:09:39were continuing to deteriorate.
00:09:41The Cold War had been well underway for at least seven years,
00:09:45and communism posed a serious threat to national security.
00:09:51With looming concerns and anxieties on the rise
00:09:54from both the American citizens and within the U.S. government,
00:09:57this new idea
00:09:59of facing a possible second threat
00:10:02from some unknown enemy
00:10:03of an unknown origin
00:10:05entering our airspace
00:10:07became much to worry about.
00:10:10It was still unclear
00:10:14as to the origins of the strange objects
00:10:17now seen throughout the world,
00:10:19and speculations began to arise.
00:10:22Were they from another country?
00:10:24Could they be advanced German technology,
00:10:27perhaps from relocated and newly formed
00:10:29hidden Nazi bases,
00:10:32maybe in South America?
00:10:33Some believed that these objects
00:10:36came from the center of the Earth,
00:10:38while others theorized
00:10:40that they were time travelers
00:10:41from other dimensions.
00:10:45But of all the speculation,
00:10:47the most popular theory
00:10:48as to where UFOs came from
00:10:50was that of another world.
00:10:59And if this were true,
00:11:01then the technology that UFOs possess
00:11:03would be far superior
00:11:05to anything we would have here on Earth.
00:11:09And if their technology were as advanced
00:11:11as many believe it to be,
00:11:14then how further advanced
00:11:16were their weapons?
00:11:22As early as 1947,
00:11:25the U.S. felt it necessary
00:11:26to begin investigating these matters.
00:11:29Under the codenames of Project Sign
00:11:31and later Project Grudge,
00:11:34then in April of 1952,
00:11:38in an effort to ensure the public
00:11:39that their skies were indeed
00:11:41safe and secure,
00:11:45Project Grudge was changed once more
00:11:47and became what is now known
00:11:49as Project Blue Book.
00:11:52But Project Blue Book
00:11:54was a very low-level operation
00:11:56with a minuscule budget
00:11:58and staff.
00:11:58It appeared as though
00:12:01right out of the gate,
00:12:02Project Blue Book was not
00:12:04about taking the UFO phenomena
00:12:06seriously.
00:12:08I am here to discuss
00:12:11the so-called flying saucers.
00:12:14The Air Force interest
00:12:15in this problem
00:12:16has been due to our feeling
00:12:19of an obligation
00:12:20to identify
00:12:21and analyze
00:12:24to the best of our ability
00:12:25anything in the air
00:12:26that may have
00:12:28the possibility of threat
00:12:29or menace
00:12:30to the United States.
00:12:32In pursuit of this obligation
00:12:34since 1947,
00:12:36we have received
00:12:38and analyzed
00:12:39between one and two thousand reports
00:12:41that have come to us
00:12:43from all kinds of sources.
00:12:46Of this great mass of reports,
00:12:48we have been able
00:12:49adequately to explain
00:12:51the great bulk of them,
00:12:53explain them
00:12:54to our own satisfaction.
00:12:57We have been able
00:12:57to explain them
00:12:58as hoaxes,
00:13:00as erroneously identified
00:13:02friendly aircraft,
00:13:03as meteorological
00:13:05or electronic phenomena
00:13:07or as light aberrations.
00:13:10However,
00:13:11there have been
00:13:11a certain percentage
00:13:13of this volume of reports
00:13:14that have been made
00:13:16by credible observers
00:13:18of relatively
00:13:20incredible things.
00:13:23It is this group
00:13:24of observations
00:13:25that we now
00:13:26are attempting
00:13:27to resolve.
00:13:29We can say
00:13:30that the recent sightings
00:13:31are in no way
00:13:32connected
00:13:33with any secret development
00:13:35by any department
00:13:37of the United States.
00:13:39But it seems
00:13:40that after the wave
00:13:42of sightings
00:13:42that occurred
00:13:43over the skies
00:13:44of our nation's capital
00:13:45in July of 1952,
00:13:48UFOs would,
00:13:49in fact,
00:13:50need a more stringent look
00:13:52that went far beyond
00:13:54the capacity
00:13:54of Project Blue Book.
00:13:56It was then
00:14:00Director of Intelligence
00:14:01General Walter Beetle Smith
00:14:03who issued a directive
00:14:04in the fall of 1952
00:14:06to conduct
00:14:08a massive inquiry
00:14:09into the study
00:14:10of UFOs,
00:14:12their origins
00:14:13and their intentions.
00:14:16This group
00:14:17would later assemble
00:14:18for a three-day review
00:14:19in January of 1953
00:14:22and would be known
00:14:23as the Robertson Panel.
00:14:28The purpose
00:14:29of the Robertson Panel
00:14:31would be
00:14:32to get to the bottom
00:14:33of just what people
00:14:35were seeing
00:14:35in the skies overhead
00:14:37and to ease
00:14:38any growing
00:14:40public hysteria.
00:14:43Another matter
00:14:44of concern
00:14:44was what would happen
00:14:46if such technology
00:14:48wound up
00:14:48in the wrong hands.
00:14:50this would be
00:14:53a matter
00:14:53for the Office
00:14:54of Scientific Investigations,
00:14:56the OSI,
00:14:58to once and for all
00:14:59conduct a serious
00:15:01and scientific study
00:15:02into the UFO phenomenon.
00:15:05Their findings
00:15:05were neither serious
00:15:08nor scientific.
00:15:10Concluding that
00:15:11there was little
00:15:12to nothing
00:15:12of scientific value
00:15:14in UFO reports
00:15:15and that there was
00:15:17no evidence
00:15:17of a direct threat
00:15:18to national security,
00:15:20despite credible testimonies
00:15:22and the fact
00:15:23that some UFO sightings
00:15:24had been seen
00:15:25within the borders
00:15:26of highly sensitive
00:15:27military installations.
00:15:30The Robertson Panel
00:15:32even went so far
00:15:33as to make
00:15:33researching UFOs itself
00:15:35a mockery
00:15:36and this has led
00:15:39to decades
00:15:39of significant UFO reports
00:15:41continuing to rise
00:15:43while very little interest
00:15:45is given
00:15:46from the scientific community.
00:15:50in its findings
00:15:56we also begin
00:15:57to see the beginnings
00:15:58of the U.S. government
00:16:00collaborating with companies
00:16:01within the private sector
00:16:03such as the Battelle Memorial Institute
00:16:06a non-profit
00:16:07applied science
00:16:08and technology company
00:16:10that happens to have
00:16:11a vast expertise
00:16:12in metallurgy
00:16:13the science
00:16:15behind the properties
00:16:16of common
00:16:16and exotic
00:16:18metals.
00:16:21One thing is certain
00:16:22though it did not solve
00:16:24or attempt to research
00:16:25the topic of UFOs
00:16:26any further
00:16:27it did achieve
00:16:28one of its major directives
00:16:30it put an end
00:16:32to any growing
00:16:33public hysteria.
00:16:36If UFOs could so easily
00:16:38be explained
00:16:39from as far back
00:16:41as the early 1950s
00:16:43then why
00:16:44the continued need
00:16:45of secrecy
00:16:45for the past 70 years
00:16:47many people believe
00:16:49a massive cover-up
00:16:50has been underway
00:16:51since 1947
00:16:52when news reports
00:16:54of a crashed disc
00:16:55recovered in Roswell
00:16:56New Mexico
00:16:57made headlines
00:16:58throughout the world
00:16:59and that the government
00:17:00knows much more
00:17:02than what it wants
00:17:03to share with the public
00:17:04but what do they know
00:17:06and what if the many
00:17:08documents that have
00:17:09surfaced over the past
00:17:1040 years
00:17:11are true
00:17:12such as the 1952
00:17:15briefing documents
00:17:16to then-president-elect
00:17:18Eisenhower
00:17:18regarding a mysterious
00:17:20group
00:17:21known
00:17:22as MJ-12
00:17:24on the morning
00:17:43of Tuesday
00:17:43November 18th
00:17:441952
00:17:45it is believed
00:17:47that a set of documents
00:17:48crossed the desk
00:17:49of president-elect
00:17:50Eisenhower
00:17:50that are unlike
00:17:52anything
00:17:52he has ever seen
00:17:53before
00:17:54at first glance
00:17:55they appear to be
00:17:56typical top-secret documents
00:17:58the kind he has grown
00:17:59accustomed to reading
00:18:00but upon further inspection
00:18:03it soon becomes evident
00:18:05that within these papers
00:18:07lay information
00:18:08that will
00:18:08not only
00:18:09alter the fate
00:18:11of the planet
00:18:11but of the solar system
00:18:13and perhaps
00:18:14the universe itself
00:18:16these
00:18:21are the MJ-12 documents
00:18:24and if we are to assume
00:18:26the story is accurate
00:18:27and that these papers
00:18:29are authentic
00:18:30as some believe them to be
00:18:31then they could very well
00:18:33be one of the most
00:18:34significant smoking guns
00:18:36regarding the government's
00:18:37direct involvement
00:18:38into the study of UFOs
00:18:40and life on other planets
00:18:42as we know it
00:18:43and it is from these documents
00:18:47that Eisenhower will learn
00:18:49of a secret group of men
00:18:50assigned by then-president
00:18:52Harry S. Truman
00:18:53with the specific duties
00:18:55of researching
00:18:56studying
00:18:57collecting
00:18:58and reporting
00:18:59directly to the president
00:19:00all findings
00:19:02regarding the recent discovery
00:19:04of extraterrestrials
00:19:06and their mission here
00:19:07on Earth
00:19:08the group will be known
00:19:11as the Majestic 12
00:19:13Could the MJ-12 documents
00:19:18be real?
00:19:19One thing seems certain
00:19:21for as much information
00:19:23as they seem to provide
00:19:24there is still
00:19:26much more information
00:19:27that is left out
00:19:28but that should not dismiss
00:19:30the fact that
00:19:31throughout the 1950s
00:19:33during the majority
00:19:34of Eisenhower's term
00:19:36our interest in UFOs
00:19:39science
00:19:40and development
00:19:41in space and weapons
00:19:42technology
00:19:43grew more
00:19:45than in any other
00:19:46period in time
00:19:47Is there also
00:19:49any truth
00:19:50to the stories
00:19:50that Eisenhower
00:19:51possibly knew more
00:19:53about UFOs
00:19:55than any other
00:19:56president before
00:19:57or since?
00:19:59And there are
00:20:00some startling
00:20:01revelations
00:20:02that suggest
00:20:03that the president
00:20:04himself
00:20:05had his own
00:20:06personal encounters
00:20:07with UFOs
00:20:08and their occupants
00:20:11With regards
00:20:18to secret military projects
00:20:20black operations
00:20:22conspiracies
00:20:23and UFOs
00:20:25the first question
00:20:26that always comes to mind
00:20:28is
00:20:28just how much
00:20:30does the president know?
00:20:33And from where
00:20:34or whom
00:20:34does he get
00:20:36his information?
00:20:37Is it the CIA?
00:20:39The Joint Chiefs?
00:20:40The FBI?
00:20:42Or could it be
00:20:43the Office of Naval Intelligence?
00:20:44Today
00:20:48with so many
00:20:49different agencies
00:20:50it is very easy
00:20:52to understand
00:20:53how
00:20:53through compartmentalization
00:20:55the idea
00:20:56of one single agency
00:20:58or group of people
00:21:00knowing everything
00:21:01on a single topic
00:21:03is virtually impossible
00:21:05let alone
00:21:07a topic
00:21:08as vast
00:21:09and as fragmented
00:21:10as UFOs
00:21:11But in the 1950s
00:21:15was it possible
00:21:17that Eisenhower
00:21:17knew much more
00:21:18at that time
00:21:19than any other
00:21:21president since?
00:21:23And what about
00:21:24the countless rumors
00:21:25that for decades
00:21:27have claimed
00:21:28Eisenhower
00:21:29allegedly had
00:21:30his own
00:21:31personal encounters
00:21:32with UFOs?
00:21:33One mysterious event
00:21:38took place
00:21:39while the president
00:21:40was relaxing
00:21:41at the sprawling
00:21:42400-acre
00:21:43Smoketree Ranch
00:21:44in Palm Springs,
00:21:45California
00:21:46on February 20th,
00:21:471954
00:21:48On this particular evening
00:21:50the president
00:21:52simply vanished
00:21:53and for a span
00:21:55of several hours
00:21:56was nowhere
00:21:57to be found
00:21:58His disappearance
00:22:00was troubling enough
00:22:01that the Associated Press
00:22:02went as far as
00:22:04to release a statement
00:22:05that Eisenhower
00:22:06had died
00:22:07of a heart attack
00:22:09The following morning
00:22:12it was made clear
00:22:13that the president
00:22:15had simply broken a tooth
00:22:16and that an emergency
00:22:18trip to the dentist
00:22:19had been arranged
00:22:20This explanation
00:22:22seems to have
00:22:23settled the press
00:22:24although others believe
00:22:26that the visit
00:22:27to the dentist office
00:22:28was nothing more
00:22:29than a cover story
00:22:30for what really happened
00:22:32on that February night
00:22:33in 1954
00:22:35According to some
00:22:37late that evening
00:22:39the president
00:22:39was quietly escorted
00:22:41out of the Smoketree Ranch
00:22:42residence
00:22:43in Palm Springs
00:22:44and taken
00:22:45in an unmarked car
00:22:46whereby he was
00:22:47either flown
00:22:48or driven
00:22:49to an undisclosed
00:22:50location
00:22:51at what was then
00:22:52Muroc Air Force Base
00:22:54now known as
00:22:55Edwards Air Force Base
00:22:57Once there
00:22:59it is said that
00:23:00Eisenhower witnessed
00:23:01flying discs
00:23:02performing
00:23:03unbelievable feats
00:23:04of aerial maneuvers
00:23:05and then was given
00:23:06a VIP invitation
00:23:08not only to go inside
00:23:09an alien craft
00:23:10but to meet
00:23:12with the extraterrestrials
00:23:13themselves
00:23:14Palm Springs
00:23:18to Muroc Air Force Base
00:23:20was a distance
00:23:20of roughly 110 miles
00:23:22and many researchers
00:23:24believe
00:23:24this event
00:23:25could not have happened
00:23:26given that
00:23:27in order to make
00:23:28a drive
00:23:28of that distance
00:23:29Eisenhower
00:23:31would have been
00:23:31in a car
00:23:32for a total
00:23:32of five hours
00:23:33that night
00:23:34and still need
00:23:35to be ready
00:23:36and alert
00:23:37for his early
00:23:38morning activities
00:23:39which included
00:23:40a church service
00:23:41yet had he simply
00:23:44flown directly
00:23:45from Palm Springs
00:23:46to Muroc
00:23:47the flight
00:23:48would have been
00:23:48less than 20 minutes
00:23:49making the events
00:23:51of that evening
00:23:52plausible
00:23:53and possible
00:23:54unfortunately
00:23:57there are no records
00:23:58of the event
00:23:58ever taking place
00:23:59but if a meeting
00:24:01had occurred
00:24:01what would have
00:24:03been discussed
00:24:03one can only speculate
00:24:06but one likely reason
00:24:08for a meeting
00:24:09could have been
00:24:10to discuss
00:24:10the growing concern
00:24:11of our most recent
00:24:12and deadly advancement
00:24:14by the early 1950s
00:24:28the United States
00:24:29alone had detonated
00:24:30well over 60
00:24:31atomic devices
00:24:32and with each new
00:24:33weapon came better
00:24:34technology to make
00:24:35them more accurate
00:24:36and far more deadly
00:24:38an everlasting
00:24:40testament
00:24:40to the growing power
00:24:42of the United States
00:24:43military
00:24:43as it so happened
00:24:47along with the surge
00:24:49in nuclear testing
00:24:50throughout the planet
00:24:51so too
00:24:52began an influx
00:24:53in UFO activity
00:24:54could this be classified
00:24:57as a mere coincidence
00:24:59not if you consider
00:25:01the possibility
00:25:02that mankind's
00:25:03first foray
00:25:04into the atomic age
00:25:05sent a shockwave
00:25:06throughout the cosmos
00:25:07that could have been
00:25:09felt by other
00:25:10more intelligent beings
00:25:12in the universe
00:25:13and as if it were
00:25:15a beacon
00:25:16the infant civilization
00:25:18of earth
00:25:19was now declaring
00:25:20that it had taken
00:25:22its seat
00:25:22at the grown-up table
00:25:24but was such a bold
00:25:27statement
00:25:28rightfully earned
00:25:29there is the more
00:25:32disconcerting idea
00:25:33that we had now
00:25:35possessed a power
00:25:36far beyond
00:25:37our understanding
00:25:38and with great
00:25:40and dire consequences
00:25:41if used improperly
00:25:43had extraterrestrials
00:25:46been watching us
00:25:46the whole time
00:25:47patiently observing
00:25:49from the outskirts
00:25:50of earth's orbit
00:25:51like an overprotective
00:25:53parent
00:25:53with a child
00:25:55just out of reach
00:25:56yet always keeping
00:25:57a sharp
00:25:58keen eye out
00:25:59it is unclear
00:26:04as to any validation
00:26:05to support
00:26:06the 1954 encounter
00:26:08ever happened
00:26:08between Eisenhower
00:26:09and aliens
00:26:10but a more
00:26:12feasible encounter
00:26:13may in fact
00:26:14have taken place
00:26:15just one year later
00:26:16at Holloman Air Force Base
00:26:18in 1955
00:26:19it is rumored
00:26:23that during these meetings
00:26:24an agreement
00:26:25was made
00:26:26between the United States
00:26:28and the extraterrestrials
00:26:30a treaty of sorts
00:26:32that not only
00:26:33may have involved
00:26:34an interplanetary
00:26:35exchange program
00:26:36between earthlings
00:26:37and extraterrestrials
00:26:38but would also
00:26:40grant our planet
00:26:41the aid of
00:26:42advanced alien technology
00:26:44to use
00:26:46for the betterment
00:26:46of our society
00:26:47in return
00:26:49the US government
00:26:50would put a cease
00:26:51on all nuclear weapons
00:26:53whether true or not
00:26:55it is evident
00:26:56that our world's leaders
00:26:58have not held up
00:26:59their end of the bargain
00:27:00and in doing so
00:27:02the United States alone
00:27:04have tested over
00:27:051,030 nuclear bombs
00:27:08bringing the world's total
00:27:10to 2,056
00:27:12by the year 2017
00:27:14yet through all of this
00:27:16one thing remains
00:27:17undeniable
00:27:18it was during this period
00:27:21in time
00:27:21that our quest
00:27:22for the stars
00:27:23became a reality
00:27:25it also saw
00:27:27the beginning
00:27:28of a more elaborate
00:27:29means for the need
00:27:30of secrecy
00:27:31in the inner sanctum
00:27:34of the Nellis Air Force range
00:27:35is a secret base
00:27:37that until recently
00:27:40the government denied
00:27:42it ever existed
00:27:43the story of Area 51
00:27:51started out
00:27:52simple enough
00:27:53as a natural
00:27:54dry lake bed
00:27:55but in 1955
00:27:57the isolated region
00:27:59and its surrounding
00:28:00mountain range
00:28:01became the choice
00:28:03location for building
00:28:04a facility
00:28:04designated
00:28:06to test
00:28:07the military's
00:28:07latest secret
00:28:08the U-2
00:28:10spy plane
00:28:11the flat surface
00:28:13of land
00:28:14provided the perfect
00:28:15location for an
00:28:16extremely long
00:28:17landing strip
00:28:18and as the facility
00:28:20grew
00:28:20it became home
00:28:22to even more
00:28:23secret military aircraft
00:28:24much to the dismay
00:28:26of Eisenhower
00:28:27who only grew
00:28:28more frustrated
00:28:29as each new project
00:28:31was approved
00:28:31without his knowledge
00:28:33rumor has it
00:28:34that he became
00:28:35enraged
00:28:36when he first
00:28:37discovered the existence
00:28:38of a particular project
00:28:40by learning about it
00:28:41in
00:28:41of all places
00:28:43a popular magazine article
00:28:45it became clear
00:28:47that the president
00:28:49of the United States
00:28:50once a five-star
00:28:52army general
00:28:53was no longer privy
00:28:55to the nation's
00:28:56most sensitive operations
00:28:57within the military
00:28:58industrial complex
00:28:59and if Eisenhower
00:29:04was not calling
00:29:05the shots
00:29:05who were
00:29:07it is possible
00:29:10that Area 51
00:29:12as well as
00:29:13its surrounding
00:29:13facilities
00:29:14are leased
00:29:15out
00:29:15by the Air Force
00:29:17to private companies
00:29:18Boeing
00:29:19Lockheed Martin
00:29:21EG&G
00:29:22General Dynamics
00:29:24and Northrop Grumman
00:29:26to name a few
00:29:27companies that not only
00:29:29had massive defense
00:29:30contracts
00:29:31for the research
00:29:32and development
00:29:32of advanced
00:29:33weapon systems
00:29:34but as it turned out
00:29:36in 1955
00:29:38all specialized
00:29:40in the new
00:29:41and fast-growing
00:29:42field
00:29:42of aerospace
00:29:44and as time went on
00:29:48insiders claimed
00:29:49that not just
00:29:50man-made aerospace
00:29:52projects
00:29:53were being conducted
00:29:54within the Groom Lake
00:29:55facility
00:29:56of Area 51
00:29:57and what may continue
00:30:00to today
00:30:01is a complex system
00:30:03of black projects
00:30:04funded by
00:30:06siphoned off tax dollars
00:30:07from undisclosed budgets
00:30:09secret agreements made
00:30:12between special compartments
00:30:14within the armed forces
00:30:15and high-tech defense contractors
00:30:18in the private sector
00:30:20this would allow
00:30:23all military
00:30:24and national security measures
00:30:26to be handled
00:30:26with a need-to-know classification
00:30:28thus giving access
00:30:31to only those
00:30:32working directly
00:30:33on the project
00:30:34and giving the president
00:30:37and his administration
00:30:38a plausible deniability
00:30:41the mid-1950s
00:30:45saw a surge
00:30:46in the development
00:30:47of aircraft
00:30:48planes went faster
00:30:50farther and higher
00:30:51than anything
00:30:52ever before
00:30:53created by man
00:30:54but just how far
00:30:57and how high
00:30:59could we really go
00:31:01were we now
00:31:03after centuries
00:31:04of looking to the cosmos
00:31:05with mystery
00:31:06and wonderment
00:31:07finally ready
00:31:09to take the voyage
00:31:10ourselves
00:31:11in what is undeniably
00:31:13the final frontier
00:31:15I believe that this nation
00:31:19should commit itself
00:31:20to achieving the goal
00:31:22before this decade is out
00:31:24of landing a man on the moon
00:31:26and returning him
00:31:27safely to the earth
00:31:28when looking back at history
00:31:30with an open mind
00:31:31it is easy to start
00:31:33connecting dots
00:31:34to the origins
00:31:35of the space race
00:31:37in what would seem
00:31:39like a brief span
00:31:40of years
00:31:41between 1944
00:31:42and 1956
00:31:44the united states
00:31:46would find itself
00:31:47in the second world war
00:31:48the atomic age
00:31:50the jet age
00:31:52and even
00:31:53the space age
00:31:55and it would be foolish
00:32:02not to think
00:32:03UFOs had anything
00:32:04to do with it
00:32:05the sightings alone
00:32:07whether true
00:32:08or conceived
00:32:09were enough
00:32:11to inspire many
00:32:12to believe
00:32:12that something
00:32:13most definitely
00:32:14was out there
00:32:15the rise of
00:32:17science fiction tales
00:32:19movies
00:32:19and the embracing
00:32:21of UFOs
00:32:22aliens
00:32:22and martians
00:32:23by pop culture
00:32:25may have led
00:32:26if not encouraged
00:32:28many
00:32:28that if they can come here
00:32:30from other worlds
00:32:31why can't we go to other worlds
00:32:34from here
00:32:35the mindset
00:32:46in washington
00:32:47and moscow
00:32:48was a bit different
00:32:50they now saw space
00:32:52as not just
00:32:53a new frontier
00:32:54but a new
00:32:56battleground
00:32:57and the lines
00:32:59in the sand
00:32:59were being drawn
00:33:01just after the second
00:33:06world war
00:33:07plans were underway
00:33:09for a spy satellite
00:33:10project
00:33:11an idea that could
00:33:13take years
00:33:13to develop
00:33:14but the concept
00:33:16of putting an object
00:33:17in space
00:33:18was not new
00:33:19the u.s.
00:33:20had experimented
00:33:21with rocket planes
00:33:22and supersonic aircraft
00:33:24since the mid-1940s
00:33:25and before that
00:33:28the nazis
00:33:30were well underway
00:33:31of developing
00:33:31liquid propel
00:33:32engines
00:33:33that would be
00:33:34utilized
00:33:34in the creation
00:33:35of their
00:33:36v2 rockets
00:33:37a design
00:33:38that would
00:33:39eventually
00:33:39lay the groundwork
00:33:41for the american
00:33:42space program
00:33:43but it would be
00:33:54the soviets
00:33:55to succeed
00:33:56in launching sputnik
00:33:57the world's
00:33:59first orbital satellite
00:34:00on october 4th
00:34:021957
00:34:03fears began to grow
00:34:05at the thought
00:34:06of a possible
00:34:07soviet threat
00:34:08lurking directly
00:34:09from above
00:34:10the united states
00:34:11and nine months
00:34:13later
00:34:14eisenhower
00:34:15signed the
00:34:16national aeronautics
00:34:17and space
00:34:18administration act
00:34:19establishing
00:34:20the country's
00:34:21first official
00:34:22space agency
00:34:23nasa

00:37:27and would be achieved
00:37:29by his successor
00:37:31I consider
00:37:59the Truman Eisenhower years as the golden years of ufology. Simply one main reason is
00:38:11there was no email, no internet, and everything was documented on paper.
00:38:20Unfortunately, most of that stuff has remained classified. I spent a lot of time in
00:38:29presidential library archives and you get on the trail of something really good and you get
00:38:43to it and you pull out a sheet that it's been redacted, especially in New Mexico.
00:38:49Because that was the hot spot. That's where they were launching v2s and other rockets.
00:38:58They were setting off atomic explosions and the word was that I've read scientists from that time said
00:39:08the appearance of UFOs or flying saucers as they were called in became so common that they didn't
00:39:19even pay any attention to them anymore because they knew when they were going to have a test.
00:39:22They were going to show up. 1947 forward.
00:39:27I mean there's a lot happening and Chuck Yeager broke a sound barrier. But the nuclear test in the New Mexico desert,
00:39:36white sands, and then of course Roswell happened. I can be a skeptic about some things, but I'm not a skeptic about Roswell at all.
00:39:47I am convinced, absolutely convinced that Roswell was an extraterrestrial event.
00:39:56Well, that's hard to say. Obviously when General Beetle Smith became director of CIA, he was very close to Eisenhower, as you know, and I would think that Eisenhower was got a very, very good briefing at that time.
00:40:26He got, he was briefed while he was supreme commander during a second world war. Who knows? It's, it's, that's hard to say.
00:40:36And Eisenhower was so touchy about intelligence. He would fire a man, no matter how close he may have been to him for breaking security.
00:40:50So that's hard to say about Eisenhower. But there's no doubt that, that he was briefed. And I would think that, that what you said about Truman saying that they, he wanted both candidates to be briefed, uh, is probably, uh, accurate.
00:41:10Um, as far as the documents, there are a lot that I'm very skeptical of.
00:41:22I do have a belief that the Eisenhower briefing document, the Cutler Twining memo and the, uh, SOM 1-01, uh, I believe those three documents could very well be, I would say probably be authentic.
00:41:46Uh, SOM, uh, SOM, Special Operations Manual is a manual, eyes only, top secret for members of Majestic 12 and whomever they would bring into there.
00:42:02Obviously it couldn't be just Majestic 12 people. They would have to have other people brought into the loop of knowledge to, to do whatever they needed them to do.
00:42:18They weren't, uh, they weren't workers in the field workers themselves. So you had to have field workers.
00:42:24But anyway, this manual told, uh, in some depth, what you do with, when you discover a crash saucer, how you recover it, how you handle, uh, civilians that may have seen it,
00:42:44how it's, uh, how it's, uh, supposed to be taken from the site, if there are, uh, beings, how they should be handled.
00:42:56Anyway, it's, uh, it seems to me, uh, it's about, uh, it was about 38 pages and it went into some depth, even describing the type of craft they may encounter.
00:43:11The last document was the Eisenhower briefing document given to Eisenhower by the CIA and gave him a brief overview of the whole flying saucer UFO issue.
00:43:27So I think those documents have a good chance of being accurate. I guess I'll say I have faith in those three documents.
00:43:35Albert Schaap was in the tower and he witnessed these happenings. Now the first weekend when interceptors, jet interceptors were called in, they were called in from somewhere in New Jersey.
00:43:53The, the blips, the targets, uh, took off, vanished. When the jets left, they came back. On the second week, the blips appeared again. Again, jets were called in.
00:44:09When they got there, the blips, the saucers, what have you, didn't leave. And one jet became surrounded, closed in by a number of these objects surrounding the craft.
00:44:25And he really, the pilot, uh, really became panicked. He was asking, what am I supposed to do? What am I, in other words, am I supposed to shoot at him?
00:44:36He was scared to death because I'm sure that he knew that if he did something offensive against him, he'd probably be vaporized.
00:44:46Flap over that obviously got to, uh, President Truman. He wanted answers and from his insistence on answers of some sort, which really nobody could give, the Robertson panel came out of that.
00:45:05After a major news conference headed up by General Sanford and General Roger Ramey, who was now a four-star general.
00:45:16They made some admission that these, there was some very strange happenings that people were seeing, but that they were probably caused by temperature inversions.
00:45:26This angered the controllers, uh, at Washington National and at Andrews Air Force Base, who was also picking them up on radar.
00:45:35They were incensed that people were being told that as experienced radar operators, they couldn't tell a weather condition from a hard target.
00:45:491953, January 1953, uh, H.B. Robertson was headed that committee and they listened.
00:46:04I think they had four day sessions made up of a morning session and an evening session over four days.
00:46:14They heard from a representative from the Photo Interpretation Library who had been looking at, uh, films taken in Sremont, Utah, by a warrant officer.
00:46:29And, uh, they studied them for about a thousand hours.
00:46:34This was, this was a group that was headed by the brilliant Arthur Lundahl, photo, brilliant photo interpretation expert.
00:46:43He was the one that, uh, was the major player in the, uh, uh, Cuban Missile Crisis interpreting those films, those, uh, photographs.
00:46:53His people went before the panel and said that what was on that film, they were not birds, they were not balloons, they were not airplanes.
00:47:06They were objects that were obviously self-luminous.
00:47:10The panel decided in their final report, which was called the Durant, the Durant report, that they appreciated the, uh, the hard work that the photo interpretation people put into it.
00:47:22But obviously what those, what was on the film was birds.
00:47:26Now here you had experts in photography.
00:47:31And here you've got people that may be PhDs, but they're not photo experts disagreeing with them and saying they're birds.
00:47:43Well, this has gone on. I mean, the history of the whole UFO story is one cover up after cover up.
00:47:54I mean, we've got so many stories we could, uh, we could talk about in that, uh, that vein.
00:48:06Project Blue Book Special Report 14, you know, that's a story in itself.
00:48:12And the Air Force just flat out lied.
00:48:15That was done. It wasn't publicized.
00:48:18It wasn't done by the Air Force.
00:48:20It was done by Batil Memorial Institute in Ohio, a very well-respected tank tank, which, uh, reviewed 3,201 cases and took them two years.
00:48:36And they came out with a report.
00:48:39Uh, the then Secretary of the Air Force, Donald Quails, called a news conference.
00:48:45And he told all the reporters, reporters there that, uh, their Special Report 14 had come out.
00:48:53And what it said was, in essence, it said a lot of things.
00:48:57It was many, many pages long.
00:48:59Uh, and it's available now online.
00:49:02Anybody that wants to look it up can get it online and read the whole thing.
00:49:06It's full of graphs and charts and what have you.
00:49:09But the nuts and bolts are that Donald Quails, Secretary of the Air Force, told the reporters that he couldn't give them copies of the report because it was, the Air Force just couldn't afford to print it.
00:49:27That was probably true because I think the report was about a thousand pages.
00:49:33But he told them what the report said.
00:49:36And in essence, it said, out of the 3,201 cases, only 3% could not be identified.
00:49:46And of those 3%, it was, they were, had the worst witnesses and the least amount of backup.
00:49:58So, in essence, he was saying, there's nothing, nothing to this.
00:50:04In fact, what the report says, that there were 21 and a half percent that were unidentified.
00:50:12And of that 21 and a half percent, they were made up by the most reliable witnesses and the greatest amount of detail.
00:50:22And that's why I say the lie in a very short few words, the Air Force just told a flat out lie.
00:50:34The problem I have with that story is, he was seen up until 8 p.m. when he had dinner and was supposed to chip the tooth eating a piece of chicken.
00:50:49There are some people that say, and this story has been around a long time, that he was taken to what was then Murad, later Edwards, and had a meeting with extraterrestrials.
00:51:07My problem with that very simply is, I find it a little hard to believe that, first of all, he wasn't seen from 8 o'clock that night until he went to church the next morning, Sunday morning.
00:51:22Well, I don't find it hard to believe at all that the president is in the public view all the time, all night long.
00:51:33I don't see anything unusual about him having to go out somewhere if he did, in fact, chip a tooth.
00:51:43I find it more non-plausible that he slipped away, flew, or was driven to Murad, which really isn't that far from Palm Springs, probably a two hour drive.
00:52:02I had a meeting with extraterrestrials, then came back and went to church.
00:52:09It's just, the time doesn't work for me, and the subject matter doesn't work for me.
00:52:19Now, I think that's much more believable.
00:52:22You've got several witnesses, reliable witnesses, that say that Eisenhower flew there in his Super Connie.
00:52:34The plane shut down at the end of the main runway, which is very hard in itself, and there was a disc there, a UFO or a flying saucer.
00:52:46Eisenhower got out of the plane, walked across the runway, and got in the saucer.
00:52:54Well, there again, that's stretching believability to me, because I don't think that the Secret Service would allow the president of the United States to get out and walk across and get into a strange spacecraft that they could snap the door shut and take off to goodness knows where.
00:53:14So, but I do think that Eisenhower was there, and I do think that the people, there were a number of people, a fellow named Kirkland, who worked there, that saw or had people tell him about a disc.
00:53:42That was there at Edwards, that was there at Edwards, that was in the air, flying there at Edwards.
00:53:49Another fellow that was an electrician, worked on the line, has a recording that I have, that he tells the story of, he was up a pole stringing wire along the flight line.
00:54:07And he saw the president's plane land.
00:54:12He couldn't see what it did, but he did see a strange saucer-shaped object that was hovering in the air to the point that it frightened him so bad that he cut out.
00:54:26He cut out, he was up a pole with climbers on him.
00:54:29He cut out and came down the pole, and the guys laughed at him and said, you came down that pole faster than a fireman.
00:54:38So it became the fireman's story in his family.
00:54:43Anyway, so I think that, I think that that probably has areas of truth in it.
00:54:56It's a secure base, obviously.
00:54:59I mean, a jackrabbit doesn't cross the perimeter without the people there knowing about it.
00:55:05So anybody, people are not just, not going to get in that base.
00:55:10I mean, there's stories about what happens to you if you even go near the boundary of public land to government land.
00:55:20If you get too close, they'll, they'll come out and shoo you away.
00:55:25And they do say that they'll use deadly force.
00:55:29That's what the signs say.
00:55:30It would certainly be a very good place to take UFOs and to test them.
00:55:42I don't know.
00:55:44There's another place that I favor a little more than Area 51, and that's Dugway Proving Grounds.
00:55:57Dugway is 800, probably now it's probably a thousand acres of well guarded land, as well as Area 51, maybe better.
00:56:11So that's another likely place.
00:56:14And it could very well be.
00:56:16And you know, we're all dealing in a, in an area where there's a great deal of speculation because we don't have many facts.
00:56:26So you have to speculate, but Dugway is secure.
00:56:33It's, it could very well be that Area 51 is being used by the government.
00:56:41As a decor, making everybody interested in that and really have the captured debris or crafts, if you will, in another location.
00:56:56So, I mean, that would make sense.
00:56:59The government's very good at disinformation.
00:57:02Eisenhower was being prodded by his military people to go ahead and put up a satellite.
00:57:19They were telling him, we've got the capability to do it.
00:57:25Our rockets are not as reliable as we'd like to be.
00:57:29We may, may have a, some failures, but we can still get a satellite up there.
00:57:35And he, and Eisenhower said, no, I'm not going to let you do it because they had had, he had had problems with the Khrushchev.
00:57:44And he said, you know, Khrushchev would say right away that we were putting up a spy satellite, which is exactly what it would have been.
00:57:54So, Eisenhower will not let them move forward.
00:57:59Well, the Russians put up their satellite, Sputnik, which all it did was fly around and beep, as far as we know.
00:58:09I don't think they had the technology to do, to have, make a satellite, a spy satellite, like we did, even then, in those times.
00:58:19But when they put Sputnik up, everybody was saying, oh, woe is me, woe is me.
00:58:27The Russians are ahead of us.
00:58:30Eisenhower was delighted, secretly delighted, because now we could go ahead and put our satellite up, a spy satellite, and we could start doing that.
00:58:40The Russians had opened the door for us to do it, and Eisenhower was happy.
00:58:44He didn't show that he was happy, but he secretly was delighted.
00:58:48The Brookings report, if I remember correctly, was ordered, I can't remember.
00:59:05It's 1960 right now.
00:59:07Yeah, was it ordered by, I guess just the military ordered it.
00:59:13I don't know that it was a particular branch that ordered it.
00:59:16But the bottom line is, as far as I know, the bottom line of it is, and says that if extraterrestrial life was discovered, and given to the public,
00:59:36the public, there would be mass turmoil, religion would be attacked, all sorts of bad social happenings would occur.
00:59:53As I recall, that was the meat of the Brookings report.
00:59:59Is that right?
01:00:00Pretty much, yeah.
01:00:01Things could get as bad as 2020 back then, I guess.
01:00:05That was their biggest fear.
01:00:07Yeah.
01:00:08Yeah.
01:00:09I don't know.
01:00:12Personally, my view of it is, if disclosure of some type was made soon, I think people would say, gee, that's interesting, and then go on about their business.
01:00:32I don't think it would harm religion at all.
01:00:40And I've blown hot and cold on what I think the government knows and what it doesn't know.
01:00:47I still believe that some part deep within our government, Majestic 12 type of it, if you will, exists.
01:01:01They're the ones that have the debris from crashed extraterrestrial vehicles.
01:01:10They're the ones that control that.
01:01:12And no matter how many stars you have, or the fact that you're a president of the United States, you don't have a need to know.
01:01:19If you don't have a need to know, you don't know.
01:01:26Truman knew everything.
01:01:29It was Truman's intent to have everything pertaining to this subject, the subject of flying saucers, which is what they were called in, to come directly through the office and be controlled by the office of the president.
01:01:47That's why I believe he set up Majestic 12.
01:01:52I think Eisenhower was going.
01:01:57JFK wanted to know.
01:02:04We know that he contacted both the CIA and NASA for he wanted all of our files on the UFO subject to be turned over to the Soviets and have the Soviets turn over to us what they had.
01:02:26The reason being, his logic there was, we don't want, they had some bad experiences of seeing objects on radar flying at very, very high speed, speeds.
01:02:43And I think we went on alert one time because of these objects and the Soviets may have also.
01:02:51And that worried Kennedy a great deal.
01:02:54That's why he wanted to share information with the Soviets and have them share with us.
01:03:00So that a mistake, a nuclear conflict, a mistake could be avoided.
01:03:10Some people say that's why he was killed.
01:03:15Well, Hoover complained about the Air Force or the Navy grabbed it before we could even have a look at something to that effect.
01:03:26That's a paraphrase.
01:03:28Yeah, Hoover was upset about it because I think the FBI was, in most cases, being kept in the loop.
01:03:45The cooperation between the Air Force and the CIA, I think that has been, could be, became rocky at various times.
01:04:02The Navy, as we talked about earlier, they just stayed out of the breakers.
01:04:09Um, the Office of Naval Intelligence is extremely good.
01:04:14And, um, so they, I, the way I view them, that they just put themselves above the whole, the whole, uh, fragrance going on.
01:04:39And the missionary?
01:04:52It wasn't Tesli?
01:04:55So you ran away from that, struggling?
01:04:56Have disagreed!
01:04:57We have just come to display ót mình in the chat and beenoli.
